Funny flick, weak soundtrack, probably Dangerfield's best performance. Imagine movies like Blazing Saddles, Revenge of the Nerds, or Fast Times at Ridgemont High being made today? Not possible in PC America, some group, race or gender might get offended. As far as the soundtrack,it's mostly forgettable keyboard driven pop rock that what going around at the time. When Michael Bolton is the hardest rock track on the album, you know you are in trouble. |

I've always liked this film; Rodney Dangerfield is at his best I think. Regarding the music, the Jude Cole track, for me at least, makes this worth getting the album alone - it's one of my favourite tracks and I could hear it again and again. The only other highlight is the Michael Bolton track which is from before Bolton got too soft. The rest of the album is hit or miss really. |
