| This is my favorite album by AC/DC even though everybody likes 'Back In Black'the best,I love this album and i think every HARD ROCK fan should get this one.

| Well Tim I agree with you Back In Black was bigger but Let There Be Rock is still and always will be a classic.My three favorite songs from this one are:Let There Be Rock,Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be and Whale Lotta Rosie.And yes everyone should get this album.

| In my opinion AC/DC put out 4 albums that I would rate 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. 'Let there be rock' is one of them. The other 3 are 'Powerage', 'Highway to Hell' and of course 'Back in Black'. All 4 albums are a guitar assualt on the ears which is find with me. However 'Let there be rock' shows that Angus Young can really play ( pick ) his guitar and is up there with the likes of Eddie Van Halen, Ronnie Montrose and Jimmy Page. | Not my favorite AC/DC record (actually I don't really HAVE a favorite; they have so much great material), but definitely a classic. 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'Dog Eat Dog', 'Problem Child', 'Bad Boy Boogie', 'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be' and of course the title track, 'Let There Be Rock' are ALL classic AC/DC rockers and are STILL being played live by the boys to this day. I would rate 'LTBR' 10/10 being a classic, but an 8.7/10 as an honest personal rating/personal preference.

| Tied with Highway to Hell as my favorite with Bon Scott. But get it right, it's 'Crabsody in Blue,' not 'Crapsody.' It's about body lice, get it? Har! Also, that song isn't on all versions of this CD for some reason, nor is the abbreviated version of 'Problem Child' with the ending chopped off. Only 'Dog Dat Dog' ISN'T spectacular. Saw Ac/Dc live back in 1978 with Bon Scott. Their live show was really down to basic, but DAMN did the music rock. I remember Angus running around like a maniac, playing pure Rock'N'Roll. Within the same months I saw Ramones, Runaways, Sex Pistols and Kiss/Iron Maiden. Music are not beeing made like that anymore........

Hey Dan, I see that you added 'Crabsody In Blue' to the song list (very cool). If you want to know, the track time is 4:43 long. For those of you that may not know, 'Cradsody In Blue' is from the original Australian album and was never released in the United States. To bad, because that song is great!!

| This is the AC/DC album to start with. It's very basic AC/DC. It's sounds like a sneak preview to eighties HEAVY METAL. Just listen to bands like Saxon,Accept,Krokus,NWOBHM etc. and you know what I mean. It's like an eighties record made in the seventies.

| In my opinion, this is their BEST! Of course this was the 1st of their's I had heard - learned to play guitar with this (close, anyway). Smoked some of my 1st to this... Got some of my 1st hmmmsy to this.... This is what a rock album should be, raw & raunchy, loud & proud. Bon & Angus shine on this CLASSIC! Marshall/Gibson ROCK-N-ROLL! Wooo-hoooo!!!

| A little less commercial than the last album, but those guitars just can't be topped for this type of hard rock. 'Let There Be Rock' is the definitive statement of the Bon Scott era. Closes out with the other classic from the album, 'Whole Lotta Rosie'. 8/10

| This is one of the better releases. More mature and a little less raw. 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be', 'Let There Be Rock' and 'Problem Child'. Can't say I heard 'Crapsody In Blue' though. Even the lesser tunes rock. 'Go Down', 'Dog Eat Dog', and 'Bad Boy Boogie' being the ones I enjoyed the most. Very good release and a good barometer of what was to come.

| This is a rude,sloppy,rip-roaring wake up in puke effort.The start of 'Overdose' has a bad note thump left in...Angus' amp blew up at the end of 'Rosie',but his Bro(the Producer) told him Don't Stop!!Bon has a way with words and phrases that will never be topped!!Yes there is humor here,but it goes WAY beyond that,they convey a message that is unspoken and true! Rock isn't meant to be perfect,just raw loud and honest.10/10!!

| I really didn't feel it as much as everyone else on this one. The guitar sound is more raw with a blues edge here and it sounds excellent. I just found the songs a little lacking in melody for me and that really matters. Still some classics here like 'Whole Lotta Rosie', 'Problem Child', 'Let There Be Rock', and 'Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be'. Good, but far from great.

| yep as bon said in the title track "and the music was good and the music was loud" this is the album that ac/dc announced that they were on their way 2 become the best band in the world a dead set classic apparently an amp caught fire during the recording of this album let there be rock indeed

| The best AC/DC album for me. I bought the tape in 1995 and it contains the track "Crapsody in blue". Too bad that this song has never been relased in Europe, adn why the put "Problem child"???? is a thing that i have never understand. Overall the best album with a raw sound and powerful songs!!!!

| On their third disc, the boys finally lock in on their sound, full-tilt. Everything is cranked up a couple notches over the first two releases: energy, volume, attitude, overall songwriting. The only knock is that the American release doesn't include "Crabsody In Blue" (aka "The Jack, Part II"), and instead features "Problem Child," because Dirty Deeds wasn't released in the U.S. until '81. My favorites would be the title track, "Whole Lotta Rosie," "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" and "Bad Boy Boogie," one of the band's top "deep cuts."
