Agreed-another goddamn classic. Enough said.

From: Rikker Mortis Date: April 28, 2001 at 16:07
If you dont own this one, well....then you just plain suck.

From: Billy Date: May 18, 2001 at 1:24
I own it and so do millions of other people. Angus IS TOO COOL!! This is the best album they ever done. The word CLASSIC doesn't say enough about this one because not too many albums can compare with how GREAT it is.

From: Stu Date: June 14, 2001 at 0:10
Must Own. Should be the #1 owned album of Hard Rock fans in the world.

From: Mike G. Date: June 26, 2001 at 9:06
There is not enough to be said about this album!! This IS what rock-n-roll is all about!! This album set all of the standards!! Possibly The greatest hard rock album....EVER!!!!!!! Nuff said!!!

From: Dusty Date: July 8, 2001 at 20:57
Back In Black should only be enough said but it is one of the biggest albums ever recorded and it maybe the best but absoulutly not the greatest I am sorry but the greatest album of all time would have to be Led Zepplin IV.

Great album, but I think it has been played into the ground. Highway to Hell is much better.

From: SHAG Date: October 15, 2001 at 13:14
Guy's, this is where it's at!! This is the definitive hard rock album!!! Probably THE best hard rock album of all time!! Still, to this day, this album sounds as fresh and strong and as tight as it did when it was released in 1980!!! If you do not have this classic, something's up!!! Run out and get it because you've been denied for too long!! AWESOME ALBUM!!!!!!!!

From: Harvey Date: November 16, 2001 at 13:01
Bloody helll...for once I agree with SHAG!! A mighty, mighty album full of grit, spit, humour, snarl and bite. Most bands would have winged and folded if they'd lost a singer as good as Bon Scott...but then AC/DC are no ordinary band. The title track surely contains the nastiest, filthiest riff of all time.

From: M. Allen Date: December 9, 2001 at 10:42
What can I say that a dozen people before me haven't? This is a classic hard rock album. Calling yourself a true hard rock fan and not owning this CD is like calling yourself a classical music lover and not owning any Bach or Beethoven. Big guitars, crunchy chords, lots of sass & attitude...what more do you want from an 80s-era hard rock album? This is a seminal piece of hard rock history. I only wish the band would go back to being this good...

From: joe Date: December 14, 2001 at 1:58
Find a club or pub that plays this, get a few beers in, a decent woman and enjoy.

Stellar album!

From: Desslar Date: April 26, 2002 at 4:12
It's all been said already. This absolutely rules. Period.

From: jason Date: May 4, 2002 at 23:38
LET ME TELL YOU WHY this album is the best rock album of all time. The truth is that Bon Scott wrote the words to this album (it's true!). Brian Johnson had the best rock voice that there was at the time. Angus and Malcolm are a hell of a team. And Robert John "Mutt" Lang is the best producer in the world. You can't beat that shit!!

From: arlo Date: May 8, 2002 at 21:37
I'll tell ya what! I've been listening to the boy's since '79and all the album's are good to ultimate great! that's what pure rock and roll is all about. enjoy !!

From: Mr. Jimmy Date: May 28, 2002 at 17:21
I can't really say anything that hasn't been said already, so I'll leave it simple. YOU CAN'T CALL YOURSELF A HARD ROCK/HEAVY METAL FAN UNTIL YOU OWN THIS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT MAY YOU BE CONDEMNED TO LISTEN TO BRITNEY SPEARS FOR ETERNITY!

From: RichieRocker Date: June 1, 2002 at 17:58
A classic!!!! I love givin the dog a bone, and of course Back IN Black, and all the other classics. To anybody reading this who doent have this album, you should own this, its a piece of rock n'roll history.

From: RichieRocker Date: June 22, 2002 at 11:15
I just rediscovered the joy and jubilance of this recorded matter known as compact disc. This album rocks, it kicks more ass than most rock albums out there right now. Buy this album its a CLASSIC hard rock Masterpiece!!

From: ThunderDan Date: June 22, 2002 at 12:30
An exceptional recording, one of metal's best...ever! Everyone should obtain this CD, you just can't go wrong w/ it. Each song is a winner, procure this one if you have failed to do so.

From: Indigo Shift Date: July 9, 2002 at 6:40
This is one of those albums...I swear, there are only 3 people on the planet that don't like or own this record, and 2 of them are my grandma. This album was the soundtrack to many things in my life that put me through puberty. Thanks, Australia!

From: Steve T Date: September 2, 2002 at 7:54
Second only to Highway and more consistent. That may sound like a contradiction but I'm nostalgic and HTH was where the love affair started. Sentimental fool that I am. BIB is an amazing rock album...everyone should have this.

Vaya discazo! suena a ac/dc JJJ me encanta!

From: The Fizzy One Date: October 28, 2002 at 21:22
Alas, this one has had the living shit played out of it on the radio. Not without reason, but I had to bump it down to a 9.0, because when I'm in the mood for some AC/DC, I generally tend to reach for Highway to Hell or Let There Be Rock. Regardless, this album is HUGE! The only song I don't particularly care for (relatively speaking) is "You SHook Me All Night." Ah, the bane of pseudo-fans who've never heard songs like "Touch Too Much," or "Problem Child." The Fizz Picks: 3, 4, 6, 8, 9.

From: Fizz Date: October 28, 2002 at 21:25
And you can't tell me Bon Scott didn't have a hand in this one. His stamp is all over it, especially prevalent in 2, 3, 4, and 9. This just mad ethe classics section of Rolling Stone a few weeks ago, and they bitched about Brian Johnson "mistaking Bon Scott's sass for misogyny," or some damn-fool thing. Proving once again that they just don't get it.

From: bill womack Date: October 31, 2002 at 2:18
Even though it doesn't have bon scott-I think this is AC/DC'S best album-Heavy Metal doesn't get any more powerful-Bon's ghost is here!

From: HG Date: January 4, 2003 at 5:29
If imitation is the highest form of flattery, AC/DC has to be considered the greatest band ever. There have been more knockoffs of them than any other band. Keeping it simple is a winning formula in rock.

From: vince Date: January 4, 2003 at 23:08
classic album, top 10 of all time, but wayover rated....i love ac/dc,but i think they put out other albums wich were as good or better.still a classic tho

.........Ahh. This release turned me back into a hard rocker. After a year where I listened to Sham 69, Sex Pistols, UK Subs and The Police. Never looked back since. If a band would make an album like this today........Hmmm.

I just got the remastered version of this CD, and it sounds incredible!! I suggest you redicover this album with the new remastered version. WOW!

From: Blue Tequila Date: February 28, 2003 at 3:20
I saw the new "Back in Black" remaster but I just can't see buying something I already own just because it's been remastered. I wish Epic would have added unreleased bonus tracks (and not another "bonus live version" of Shook Me) on the albums. You can't tell me that after all these years there is nothing they could include. Before "BUYV" was released an article had Brian Johnson saying they had recorded enough material for 2 albums. They might not be the best songs, but it's still AC/DC!

Does anybody know anything about ac/dc's new album? Its release was delayed but there is nothing else on the net I can find

From: Blue Tequila Date: March 5, 2003 at 0:58
AC/DC hasn't started work on the new album yet. Looks like they may go with Robert John "Mutt" Lange to produce it. There's a great interview with Malcolm about it on Billboard.com. the link is http://www.billboard.com/billboard/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1813282

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: March 5, 2003 at 2:14
Also, Brian Johnson was just in Canada and had dinner with Mutt Lange. I'm not so sure if they will go with him though? It's up in the air right now. Malcolm's brother, George Young, has done most of the production for AC/DC over the years. He has been retired for the past few years, but it sounds like he is coming out of retirement to work with some new band. This could be a warm up before going on to produce AC/DC's next album???????? We will see.

Hey ace, check out the Brutal Metal site, I think there's a link on the homepage here. Although definitely melodic, I think they're too heavy for this site (IMHO). Great band though, one of the few bands I actually replaced almost all of my vinyl with on CD rather than cheaping out and finding a greatest hits compilation...

Back in Black, in my mind anyway, has to be one of the top 10 hard rock discs of all time. "What Do You Do For the Money Honey" is the only song on here I don't care for; the other 9 songs reak rock-n-roll havoc.In-Freaking-Credible!

From: Elton Braga Date: October 28, 2003 at 16:57

The AC/DC that created this album is fundamentally different than the Bon Scott-era band, so you can't really compare the pre-and post-1980 incarnations of AC/DC. Certainly Bon wrote many if not most of the lyrics (or Johnson suddenly forgot how to write after this album), but no matter. This is a hard, heavy, dark album: the band's emotions on the loss of Bon are plain to see. I don't like how Lange mixed Angus' guitar down, but they were on the road to stardom and they went for a sound that se

From: varmitjeb Date: April 5, 2004 at 4:49
One of the very few recordings that there is not a "filler" track on it. Others would be "van Halen",and "Moving pictures" from Rush.

From: luke Date: May 13, 2004 at 21:31
actually, Bon didn't write the lyrics, becaouse the insparation for "Hells Bells", "Back In Black" and "Have A Drink On Me", where all inspired by events of Bon's death. "Hells Bells" was inspired by the funeral bells at Bon's funeral, "Have A Drink On Me" was inspired by the way he died, and the song "Back In Black" was a tribute to Bon. Thet wanted to make one that wasn't all depressing ad mornfull.

From: jason (FA-Q) Date: May 13, 2004 at 22:27
Luke, don't talk about shit you know NOTHING about, okay! You couldn't be more wrong about the song 'Have A Drink On Me'. That isn't at all why they wrote that song. It has NOTHING to do with Bon's death. You have no clue!! PLLLLEEEAASE shut the hell up, because yer pissin' me off with yer uneducated bullshit about AC/DC!! Thank You!

Brian Johnson takes over and they do the impossible, improve on "Highway To Hell". The guitars are crunchier and Johnson's voice is a great fit. It was good to see that they picked someone with a voice that was not too similar to Bon Scott. One of the few, if not the only album not by Led Zeppelin, where every song made it to radio. Another must own rock classic. 10/10

No need to name song titles here. If you don't know em' by now, you were either in a coma for the last 30 years or lost in Siberia some where.

well people i guess it's all been said already about this album the words masterpeice, classic they do spring to mind but jason why do you say bon wrote the lyrics to this album it clearly aint true there were no lyrics when he died just a few riffs in fact bon played drums on a few demos of a couple of songs if he wrote the lyrics don't you think he would've been credited and don't you yhink the album would've been even bigger if that is at all possible no stop the crap talk and give brian his due credit he rose to the occasion in the face of adversidry this is the album that set the bench mark for rock and metal forever everybody wanted to sound like ac/dc after this and being an aussie i'm so proud of this band they are simply the best and nothing comes close own this album or fuck off and listen to rap shit cause you don't like rock and roll

This is a decent album for sure with some great tracks like You Shook Me, Back In Black, Shoot To Thrill and Hells Bells but I think there is a bit of filler here like Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution and Givin The Dog A Bone. Very decent but by no means a masterpiece. I prefer their rawer earlier work.

What can you say about Back In Black? It's an all-time classic, although I prefer Highway To Hell just slightly. We're starting to see, though, that AC/DC is best when they keep it to nine songs. Here, the odd man out is the subpar "Let Me Put My Love Into You." Otherwise, fully half the album can be heard on a daily basis on any classic-rock station in America, leaving "Given The Dog A Bone" and "the awesome "Shake A Leg" as the only hidden gems to be had.

Well, not much to say about this one, there are not many "perfect" releases but this one is as perfect as it could be. 100/100
