One of the best Westcoast albums that I ever heard! The sound is pretty close to Toto's. David has a great voice, and the record holds a high standard all the way, perfect played and the production are great as well.The best song in my opinion is 'Someone Like You'...just GREAT AOR/Westcoast, same kind of song like Toto's 'Hold the line'.8,5/10

top class aor from mr.roberts,a man who unfortunately has been away for too long...hopefully he'll be releasing a new album very soon(fingers crossed). i think every song in here is a real treat for the ears with no fillers in sight.great singing by david and the production is really good on this one.classic!?...you bet!!.

Agree with aorjocke, 'Someone Like You' is a killer AOR track that reminds me of Franke & The KO (You Never Had It Better) and Toto (Hold The Line), love that sound where piano and guitar fighting against each other. Thereīs not a single bad moment on the entire album, Iīve just recorded my worn out vinyl album on cdr. Hope it will be reissued on CD soon!!!

forgot to mention, if you like this check out DWAYNE FORD 'Needless Freaking' (1981 - out on CD in Japan) another killer AOR/WC release in the same classic style.

Not sure what's up with eBay price on this one, it can't be that rare. Lovers of ultra-smooth Chicago style westcoast will enjoy this, although it's not worth $355! A pretty consistent album, with great vocals, which bodes well for his new album being released later this year (with Tommy Denander at the helm).

Funny how the major players always balk at discs they don't own when they sell for big money. I own this one and don't persoanlly think it is worth $355, but it is one of the all-timers in the field of Toto-esque West Coast AOR. Really really good! Like the Airplay release! Uptempo and catchy. As for rarity, it would not surpirise me if there weren't too many of these around. Your talking about a limited run re-issue from Japan that's over 10 years old now. Perhaps $355 IS a bargain?

This is a very special cd it grows on you everyday you play it,it deserves to be listed as one of the altime greats,if you like Westcoast with fantstic Atmosphere then plese buy David Roberts,tremdous piece of magical Music.

Westcoast AOR Masterpiece!!. This is one of my favorite Westcoast albums of All-Time. A beautiful album, which combines pretty melodies, amazing musicianship, extraordinarie vocals by David Roberts, the adecuate energy and a very soft style. The style goes in the direction of bands Like CHICAGO, CHRISTOPHER CROSS, AMBROSIA, JOHN OīBANION and a little bit of TOTO(Lukather and Jeff Porcaro are implicated here hehe). My favorite tracks are: The Totoish 'Someone Like You'(in a very 'Hold The Line' vein); The midtempos 'Never Gonna Let You Go' and 'Sheīs Still Mine'; The Westcoast flavoured 'Wrong Side Of The Tracks and of course those irresistible soft ballads: 'Boys Of Autumm'(A few years later, The Pop spaniard band Mecano recorded 'Cruz de Navajas' which is totally based in 'Boys...'), The beautiful 'Too Good To Last' and the precious 'Midnight Rendezvous'. If you are ready for the romance then i recommend you this album very strongly!!

PODEROSO YIRO....if you donīt already have the wonderful DWAYNE FORD - 'Needless Freaking', buy it at all cost, itīs a must have CD if you like 'All Dressed Up'. A westcoast AOR masterpiece too. You wonīt be disappointed.

Hello HARALD. I already have 'Needless Freaking' by DWAYNE FORD, and i think it is a very good album indeed, but i think itīs not as efective and catchy like David Robertīs 'All Dressed Up' or maybe John OīBanionīs 'Danger', but it has very good moments and a great musicianship too... Maybe i will listen to 'Needless Freaking' again and letīs see what could happen. Keep It Up with your great musical Taste and regards from Chihuahua Mexico To You!!

there is a sort of group of vintage WC albums that I always associate with each other. They are never among my true fav albums of the genre personally yet they are priceless on those rare occassions and they deserve the praise they get. I'm talking about G.Guidry, David Roberts, O'Banion to name a few. It is the fact they are not such artistic feasts on a psychological level (for me) but more just a joy of true great musicianship and super catchiness. David Roberts is one of the best of all these sorts of albums. I have the cdr cause I bought the re-issue but sold it on again after cloning the disc (Just cause it's not an album I need to own on real cd, yet I have it on LP and the sound is really not so pleasing on the cd like sometimes happens with these early 80's westcoast cd issues. The lp is so much better. It's among the poorer cd's of old albums that I've heard, but the fact people still rave about how great it sounds just shows you that the songs are really strong. 8.5/10

Pretty much a perfect Westcoast release and one on most people's top ten releases of the genre and with good reason. Lukather is on it, Graydon is on it, Porcaro, Foster and Champlin aswell, so pretty much a seal of approval just from the line up. Not much else to be said, except that even the nice LP sleeve remastered version seems to be getting rarer and rarer nowadays and it was only re-issued a couple of years back. Essential for sure, but be prepared to shell out for it.

gotta love hh , because of this site I found this , this is perfect unlike the crap put out today , our kids will never know what it's like to listen to good music on the radio , this sounds like cristopher cross and robbie dupree mixed .very well made and A+ voice , a must have aor . a true masterpiece ..

Glamourous as i wrote back in 2007...still have the same opinion ...the cd got back into my hi-fi and well..cannot get enough of this! ...vocally David reminds me of Christopher Cross and musically to Alessi Brothers...'All In The Name Of Love','Too Good To Last'(nice smooth),'Boys Of Autumn','She's Still Mine(That's My Girl)','Anywhere You Run To','Another World'(nice song)...wonderful Westcoast/Lite AOR album...94/100

Candian singer David Roberts debut album "All Dressed Up" (Elektra 1982), is a much loved and highly regarded masterpiece in the Westcoast/AOR music genre. It was produced by Greg Mathieson/Jay Graydon and recorded at Los Angeles studio Sunset Sound with top session musicians and singers like Jeff Porcaro, Mike Porcaro, Steve Lukather, David Foster and Bill Champlin. Roberts's vocals are reminding of Christopher Cross and musically there are similarities too but I would also like to add Chicago, Toto, Franke & The Knockouts, Greg Guidry and John O' Banion. This is one of those albums you can enjoy listening to without skipping a single track. Essential classic 10/10
