Owned a copy of this some time ago - back when I had to have every piece of AOR coming out of Scandinavia - but long since sold it. Got nowhere near 300 bucks for it though! Despite the cover this is good poppy-AOR from Norway with a great production (from Svein Dag Hauge) with excellent vocals and great harmonies. A good disc but not one I'd advise spending too much time and money tracking down. Get Erika's "Cold Winter Night" or Skorgan's "Basic" instead, the latter being a (rare) gem. 7/10.

I am still searching the whole net for this AOR item. Does anyone really have it?

A really good album here ! If you like Lisa Hartman,Tone Norum,Charlotte(Free),80s Carola albums or Carmen Kane you're gonna love this one. Production is tight, poppy and sweat. You can also smell a sense of west-coast ala Lava - rhythm of love album (the production is very similar actually). Frank Adahl of Edin-Adahl participated in recording background vocals, and sang with Ranveig a beautiful duo ballad called "Two lives". Huge keys, great production, nice chorus,a touch of pop and west-coast.

Hi friends. It has the song 'You're taking my heart away' from Rhythm of Love by Lava, except here it's called 'You've Taken My Heart Away'. It is good enough, but not one of the best songs on this cd to me, whereas on the Lava cd it is pretty great. This song was written by the producer (who is Lava's founder/guitarist) as is the case with most tracks on this cd (he's writer or co-writer). This cd is cool. Ranveig has a sexy/beautiful voice and the music is great if you like hi-quality 80's pop. I'd give it 8/10 definately. I agree Anita Skorgan's Basic (1989) has some gems (she is another great singer for me). I also like her album 'White Magic' from 1986 which is perhaps even more AOR/hi-tech westcoast than 'Basic'. Does anyone know if there was an original release cd for white magic?? Sadly, I doubt it. Thanks

Crazy price in E-bay and if u find it of course!!!..got this in vinyl in the 80's...this album by RJ is kinda weird,it stars with 5 songs in a raw doing pop music almost like Debbie Gibson or Tiffany and after track 6 comes the AOR part which is pretty decent.."Child Of Love" puts you to dance,"Watch That Girl" is a nice song,"Two Lives" is a highlight, nice duet with Frank Adahl) a singer from Finland),"Staright To The Heart" is a poppy rock tune,"Taken My Heart Away" & "Heartbreaker" are 2 faves, highlights,"Hold On" & "Movin On" both are "on" AOR,"Shame" is a rock song and "Shine A Light" is a smoothie..in general lines if u like Pop with some Hi-tech and AOR elements but more Pop than anything else, then you'll pass this record,if not, don't mind buying it so..85/100
