If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Player CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Player are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Wow....no comments?? no reviews?? Player.... the 70s 80s smooth AOR West Coast band with the great Peter Beckett singing...writing the songs. This was a comeback album of sorts....in 2013 Beckett of course is better known..by me anyway..as being one half of the fantastic AOR Hight tech duo "Think Out Loud" who gave us two superb albums.... the self titled debut and follow up "Shelf Life" (Im sure they are reviewed elsewhere on here) ..the other guy being Steve Kipner..both guys have written for oodles of top acts.... from Chicago to Britney Spears and Cahristina Aguilera... and zillions in between. Think Out Loud debut remains in my top 10 all time AOR high tech Player is a slightly different beast...their big hit being "Come Back Baby" ..a real smooth slice of west coast... The album opens with a real stormer out the gates... "Man On Fire" ...crunchy guitars to the fore. A lot o the tracks I can reimagine in my mind being done with "Think Out Loud" ...with a more hi tech approach... t

In agreement with the comment above...about the release,well, it's a real pleasant one,Westcoast and smooth AOR combined with elegance...my fave tracks are # 1,2,5(nice),6,7,9(nice),10,13 & 14(lovely remake of the band's classic)...recommendable stuff...85/100
