It's rather amusing, cuz i picked this album up over ten years ago with never hearing a single thing about it, but I got it home and LOVED it. She is a one-woman Vixen. It really pisses me off, too, cuz my tape deck ate the tape, and I haven't been able to find it again, not even in used stores. But now I know that I can get it online. Anyways, the one thing that disappoints me the most is that music no longer has that "Hard rockin'" sound like it used to.

Chrissy Steele is my favorite female singer. She'so powerful and beautiful....Let's rock'n roll. It's too bad brian MacLeod as left the building. You were a super duet.I met her in Quebec city several years ago and she's a really nice person. I'm just sad we don't ear anymore about her. I'm the the guy that didn't buy you a drink in 14 straight nights in Quebec city and Lévis. I'd really like to know what's going on whith your carreer. Please if you're available, "Marry me". Geez hate to be a wet blanket here but this album kinda falls under that "have to have everything hair metal" banner if you're looking to check this out. Not horrible by any stretch of the word but nothing 12 years later you'll still go "holy s#@t" too. Best tunes are "Cry Myself To Sleep" & "Love Don't Last.." which are basically pop songs with the guitars turned up. She is smokin in the looks department though and I still got my record store promo poster of the front cover. Worth $7!!

aaah I love this CD. Only a couple of tracks (3 and 5) where her voice gets just a bit to shrill for me, but otherwise every song is a good listen. Chrissy has good range. Moves between Saraya and Fiona. Smokin' hot too!!

I'm getting "Magnet To Steele" remastered with 24bit technology in North Vancouver very soon. I find the CD sounds "flat" by today's standards. When I lived in St. John's, NFLD, three of your songs got medium airplay on OZ-FM. I was always a fan of Vancouver rock since the 70's. I still pay my respects to Brian McLeod every April 25 and June 25 at Oceanview cemetery. On June 28, 1992, we kicked off the first Brian McLeod birthday memorial benefit for cancer research in St. John's. CHEERS!

I still know the guitar chords and lead breaks to EVERY song on "Magnet To Steele". I have them all wrote down. I'll need a new MESA-BOOGIE amp and a new guitar. Let's record and tour!!! Brian McLeod is the reason I learned to play guitar.

Why has Vancouver radio stations like 99.3 The Fox and 96.9 Jack-FM forgotten about your music? They play alot of repetitive music like Queen, REM, and Foreigner. JACK no longer plays New Wave. I'm no longer going to listen to the radio until the summer when I can listen to 98.9 Smooth Jazz KWJZ from Seattle. Anyway, Chrissy, I hope you're reading this. Can you sign my two CDs? One has a circular scratch from an old Kenwood CD player. CHEERS over in Victoria.

Ironic that a great one-and-done solo artist didn't have ANY songwriting credit to her own album. This is essentially a Brian MacLoud-written, glorified Headpins album. I'm guessing that Brian didn't want the singer (who sounds similar to the replaced Darby Mills) to be associated with the Headpins name. Nevertheless, this is one of those essential female-fronted albums that you can't pass up. "Love Don't Last Forever" is a monster ballad with Mark Slaughter dueting on vocals. BUY NOW!

My favorite song is "Move Over". Just the thing for rockin' a building down to it's foundations! I also love "Two lips don't make a kiss", and "Cry myself to sleep". I have a video tape of a live performance. If anyone knows where I can get it on DVD, please e-mail me at Sundivers@hotmail.com

I tried to like 'Two bodies' and 'Two lips don't make a kiss' and whilst I do still like them, those lyrics just detract from two killer songs. I like them, but could have been better. However the same cannot be said for 'Love don't last forever'. That is just a f*cking excellent song and there's nothing else to say about it. I'm not a fan of this CD at all, but I do love the ballad! Decent hard rock overall.

One of my favourite Female Canadian releases of alltime, along with the 'Lee Aaron' s/t from '87 and one of Brian Mcleod's best productions.Definately surpasses The Headpins and Allannah Myles of this world, and is better than the Darby Mills solo cd which, is saying something, as that is a terrific album.

Someone here told me to check this one and I don't regret it at all, on the other hand the "deeper" drums reminds me of someone playin' basketball at the school's sportshall while you try to write a test. On the other hand the production is way too flat, you need a strong bass boost to adjust that. That's the awful side of it besides the 3rd track ("Move over") which is too much "wailin'". It's annoying to me.

Well, talk about the better things here: My favourite tracks are "Armed and dangerous", "Magnet to steele" which has such an awsome chorus I'm looking for all the time & "Two lips" which reminds me of the best LOVERBOY tracks "Can't get much better", "Lovin' every minute of it" & "Gangs in the streets" (you know, the big 'n catchy guitar lines). The first track is hot as well and the ballad ("Love..") could have been big with a better chorus. Chrissy, I give you an 8 out of 10 for this one

Chrissy really has a beautiful voice and can hit the high ones. The music is pretty good (but at times average) hard rock, but add her vocals to it and I was very pleased. The ballads just made me drool all over the cd case with lust.........uhm, I mean love.

Excellent CD! Great vocals from Chrissy (she's nice to look at too), and awesome guitar by Brian. With Tim Feehan, Mike Reno, and Mutt Lange writing, you can't go wrong. Brian "Too Loud" MacLeod died shortly after this release, and supposedly Chrissy stepped away from the music scene after that.
