Michael Angelo of NITRO on guitar...

From: Rockhead Date: June 23, 2004 at 8:15
I find this Cd very boring-with little to get excited about. I much preferred the B'ZZZ

From: Fog-hat Date: June 23, 2004 at 10:40
Killer CD, Hard Rock at it's very best. Singer doesn't have the best voice for this type of music but it still somehow works. Plenty of 'hooks' in the songs and great guitar work. Can't really say who they sound like, but fans of Foreigner,Survivor and maybe even the late 80's Glam bands may like these guys.

excellent disc, poor cd master

very good cd

Great 80's hard rock, and these guys come across as a band confident with what they're doing. 'Gotta run' and 'Keep it to yourself' are what 80's metal was all about. Great riff driven, hook filled hard rockers. I'd recommend this one for a decent price... or more so the re-release renamed 'Wake up the neighbourhood'. Same songs, but released in 1999 and easier to find... with a better sound.

sound lil bit old fashioned but very good album with awesome guitar solos from MICHAEL ANGELO! in 1985... he is amazing. few fine songs in this album, like ''love in on time'', ''high life'', ''gotta run'' are my favourites. if you wanna hear good hard rock with good guitar work, you must buy this cd 7/10

OMG!! This is THE record to own. I was estatic to find it reissued. There is not one bad track on this CD. The song Wake Up The Neighborhood was used on the lame Sarah Jessica Parker movie "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." Maybe that's why this band didn't do any better. Someone shot their A&R man. This band could record the same album over and over with different lyrics and I would be buying everyone of them. Shame that there wasn't more to hear from them.

Good Hard Rock/Melodic album, es del 85 dificil que pierdas, cortes Gotta Run(Killer Melodic Hard/AOR song, este es el corte por la cual se merece tener el album, puro sonido Magico de los 80), Love In On Time, Keep It To Yourself , Basics Of The Bullet, Sacrifice, Wake Up The Neighbourhood otor buen disco para tu coleccion.

I'd been meaning to get this for years and I was kicking myself when I didn't pick it up from a CD shop recently. I went back a month later and luckily it was still there. I say luckily as this has blown me away. A great hard rock record with bags of melody - as mentioned by Fog-hat the singer may not be the style you would associate with this kind of music.....but it suits it perfectly and even enhances the awesomely fantastic guitar histrionics by Michael Angelo Batio, whereas with the screamer type of vocalist that you would normally associate with this kind of music it would have relegated it to just another hard rock / metal album in the Cry Wolf kind of big riff no soul vein. The vocals on this just set it apart, f*ckin awesome! Love this....I've had to download the version Geoff mentioned too as I just cannot find a legit copy of Wake up the Neghborhood anywhere (but when I find it then grabbo time)....but that is a different version to this with different songs/versions .

A super record with Michael Angelo Batio on guitar. Unlike Nitro, this actually has some decent vocals and bass and has loads of good songs. One can recognise a few of Batio's songs from his first solo album on this: High Life has a solo from his No Boundaries track for example. Highly recommended!

From: CLOUD FORCE Date: March 12, 2023 at 21:21
Michael Angelo has always been underrated. This is an example of what he can do without exceeding with the shredding.Nice songs, classic hard rock with AOR touches.solid effort.

What an absolute cracker of an album! Killer cuts on here including Sacrifice plus many more. Terrible shame they only released this one platter of magic. Total essential. 90/100.
