I can not speak highly enough of this CD. Kickass hard rock that should appeal to fans of Ratt & Dokken, as well as fans of Stryper & Whitecross. CCM hard rock that isn't over-bearing with it's "message"! Superb vocals, superb instrumentation....this CD has it all. Truly an over-looked gem.; grab it! |

Is the singer any relation of Don Dokken? |

I wondered the same thing. I can find no mention of a direct relation, but I'd say WAAAAAYYYY back they probably are. |

Wow, this is an amazing CD, not a weak track on it. Excellent guitar work, vocals and production. I would compare them to a little heavier Moriah. |

Excellent CD with a throwback sound to the glory days of Ratt, Whitecross and Dokken. Whitecross guitarist Rex Carroll performs much of the guitar work on this CD, although he is only credited as a "guest artist". I'd be curious to know if Joe Dokken is the singer's real name or just a band name. Regardless, this is a pretty solid slab of classic hard rock. |

This was re-released in 2003. This Christian band knows how to rock ! With guitar virtuorso Rex Carroll you knew thsi had to be good. Rex is known to be picky about who he plays for on albums and thsi oen turned out great. Check out King James if you like this album. There is no Dokken relation between Joe and Don. Not other than both being excellent singers. To bad they didn't have any other albums. 89/100 |

Fans of guitar-shredding Christian melodic metal won't want to kick this one out of their collections like God booting Adam & Eve out of the Garden. The title track alone makes this as welcome as an air conditioner in the boiling bowels of Hell, one of the best rock-ballads ever to grace a white-metal album. A good chunk of the guitars on this CD are courtesy of the legendary Rex Carroll (Whitecross) and we all know he can rip it up with the best of 'em. Aside from one dud track, this is the sort of stuff that ignites the flame in the hearts and souls of melodic metal maniacs. |

AKA (Scream In Eden-'Original Sin' on 'Z Records') Good solid band & album.Rex Carroll's involvement obviously brings the DeMartini/Lynch sound into the riffs & licks in spots here, but on the whole songwise its not really that Ratt/Dokken sounding to me.Sounds like something different.1,6 and 10 do rock though. |
