WHAT A SURPRISE :THIS UNKNOWN BAND SOUNDS GREAT ! PURE MELODIC HARD ROCK WITH EXCELLENT KEYS, SOME REGRETS WITH THE SINGER BUT THE SONGS ARE VERY GOOD AND CATCHY :GOOD JOB GUYS !!! 8/10

From: journey Date: August 5, 2004 at 15:03
8/10???? this album is a masterpiece!!!! 10/10!!!!!

From: oliver Date: October 5, 2004 at 14:12
nothing more than average melodic rock. and what a poor singer!! seems we germans can´t speak english. compare this with other german releases like fair warning, roko.... not worth buying it.

From: stef the french Date: October 5, 2004 at 16:48
oliver, you are a bit rude! some many bands would dreams of writing wonderful songs like this!!! the singer sounds correct .....

From: doctor_glam Date: November 17, 2004 at 8:37
Every serious Melodic/Hrdrok collector should have this CD,OK Im not 100 0.000000air because this guys are good friends and the come from my hometown, its a great album and definately one of the best german releases in melodicrock ,much better than some overrated CDs like Baghdad or Willow, you should have seen them live, the lead guitar from Oliver is outstanding and easily compareable to the big names in business, A GREAT ADDICTION TO EVERY COLLECTION

From: George WC Bush Date: December 31, 2004 at 13:07
Nothing wrong with the singer...excellent melodic hardrock PERIOD.(maybe the vocals are a bit on the back in the mix,but nothing wrong with them).

From: z4roxx Date: December 31, 2004 at 13:19
Hey George, can you listen Javan at the Whitehouse??that's incredible...they are a little bit heavy for a president ahahahahahaha!!!

From: Geoff Date: February 5, 2005 at 1:18
This is good, riff driven melodic hard rock. The guy definately has an accent, but he's okay. Reminds me of 48 Crash, but not as good. 'Sophisticated woman' is stellar track though. Good solid album for fans of riff driven German melodic hard rock.

From: z4roxx Date: February 7, 2005 at 14:17
One of my fave in Germany indeed, solid and great release of melodic metal, very close to Malmsteen sometimes with a little touch of Tour De Force expecially with some keys arrangment.I like also vocalist,I like particular voices...'Call my name'is a killer killer!!!Super keys!!!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: May 14, 2005 at 21:58

From: hekkktor Date: October 10, 2005 at 17:44
yes, this might not be the album of the 20th century, but indeed it features several great tracks with hard edged riffing, solid & catchy melodies & enough crafted solos that boost the music altogether bringing it up at a heavy metal level in parts, agree with z4roxx on the keys arrengements, beautifully cohesive but not overused, listen to the atmosphere built in tracks like 'our love' or 'call my name' in which keys suceed to introduce that typically 80's cheerful sound

From: hekkktor Date: October 10, 2005 at 17:50
and yes, agree also with doctor_glam, this album is way better than other similar efforts like willow or another bands that sound too loose an ensemble. Geoff is also right, 'sophisticated woman' is another good example of a good blend of the above mentioned elements and a killer one.

From: metalguf Date: February 20, 2006 at 11:15
The vocalist sings awful. It remind me of deadmetal. avoid avoid!!!!!

From: SCANDI Date: March 14, 2006 at 11:49
A bit strange album. They seem to be not sure if they wanna be a heavy metal group or even an AOR one. So the sound is often funny. But with LOTS of keyboards. That is what tames me. The voice is not that good, a great confirmation of the cliché from the rock singer who doesn't need to have a good voice, he just have to be able to scream. On this disk he really tries (to scream). It's at least a funny & NEVER boring Cd Check it! Rate: 7,7

From: SCANDI Date: March 14, 2006 at 11:53
I have to add that this is most probably a LOVE or HATE release. Something for z4roxx

From: z4roxx Date: March 14, 2006 at 13:07
ahaha that's true!I like decent or terrible singers sometimes but music is great!Javan are not the best band out of germany but I put them among my best bands form that country...Eehh Now z4roxx listen to lot of thrash/spped and Death metal like 15 years ago and less melodick ahahaha!!Ehh ho le pustole per i Morpheus, forse punto lo stipendio_mangiato bravo di lattuga ahahahahaha

From: Japangea Date: May 21, 2006 at 11:06
One of best indie releases from Germany in early 90's.Sounds very similar to 1st Avenue's "Tears & Triumph" but this was released one year before.

From: TONI MALLORCA Date: July 15, 2007 at 8:03
joder!!que inflavalorado y olvidado album de aor escandinavo!!!

From: camelot66 Date: November 25, 2007 at 14:02
I am just listning to this cd and it is really weird because it defentley has this magic in it that only bands of the Time had, yes the singer has a accent but don,t let that put you off,he is quit brilliant at times and remindes me of bands like Bonfire and Domain, great keboards, good cd.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: November 26, 2007 at 3:27
GOOD CD but not a "classic" 77/100 EARLY 90's GERMAN KEYBOARDS driven AOR if you like 1st AVENUE/ZINATRA/ROKO/TOKIO etc... buy it!

From: 780'sRocked Date: February 2, 2008 at 6:25
Excellent blend of keys and guitars. Quite a number of good songs here, with "Eyes" being one of my faves! The lead guitarist shreds pretty good for an AOR band. 82/100 for myself. Rock on....

From: shoemaker Date: February 2, 2008 at 9:09
Poor!

From: KurtmanJP Date: February 25, 2008 at 1:34
This album seems kinda so-so for me except for "Call My Name" which I think is a KILLER AWESOME track! "Somewhere In The Night" and "Our Love" are good songs, too. The rest, I'm not too big on.

From: KurtmanJP Date: May 25, 2008 at 1:37
I may have to give this another listen and wait for it to sink in a little. I love 1st Avenue's "Tears And Triumph" and Rescue's "S/T" albums so I'll give this one another try.

From: sharatan Date: February 15, 2009 at 9:39
great stuff, great guitar with some europe driven keys. i love the singer. real manly vox. not like all the castrated pussy aor ones....

From: dany69 Date: March 1, 2017 at 16:54
Find this today,,seriously not bad at all,,,a bit weird but a kind of voice a la jean beauvoir ( Voodoo X ),,,Cool,!

From: SgtRock Date: May 15, 2023 at 17:31
So Martins vocals are slightly nasal and a little accented. What do you expect when a fellas not singing in his mother tongue. This a great pompy melodic rock!
