Wants You! Too commercial. Weak songs. 5.0 on the SWINE SCALE

Sorry but, this sucks! Sounds like something they would play on A.M. radio.

I don't what kind of drugs that the previous guys were on(they probably listen to that sucky skank-rap metal or some ridiculous hardcore metal & don't deserve to leave comments on this board), but this album rocks!! Everything about great hard rock/metal is defined in this record!! It is melodic, yet driving!! If you dig 80's metal with a driving edge and not some lame, boring every song sounds the same because I can't sing-I have to rap or scream til veins burst, then you need to get this!!!! W

I agree with Mike G. This is a great, unheralded example of melodic 80s hard rock. Good riffs, excellent sing-along type rock songs. Just a fun album, all the way around. I can only imagine that the other two comments come from guys who thought Anvil was "the shit"...

I agree with the first 2 people, but this cd still deserves some recognition. It was weaker than the first, but still worth listening to.

By the way... Harlan and Mike G., I didn't like Anvil. I like good foot tappin' guitar driven, piss your mom off, loud, tongue-n-cheek Party rock!

This was one the the most talented and underrated bands of the 80's!! They brought a driving brand of hard rock/metal that blazes!! If you don't have this, GET IT!!!!!!!!!

Found a vinyl copy of this record the other day. A great album! These boys have a very refreshing sound. Great guitar work and hard rocking songs. Great hooks! The last 3 songs are a little weak but the rest are top rate. Best cuts are the rockin' "Hot 'N' Heavy" and "We like it loud".

I bought my vinyl copy for only about one dollar 12 years ago. That time I went to high school, I really love Take a chance with his positive message. Others favorites songs are Let'em talk and Double trouble(very funny video with Shortino dressed with the colours of the american flag and with two tall beautyful blondes).

Check out Shortino's newest stuff at www.roughcutt.com, they've just announced the release of their new album (under the new name The CUTT), they've got a few kick ass demos available for download. Well worth the look, check out the title track Sacred Place, has a real 70's Metal sound. Later

Great album from a VERY underated band. Paul Shortino sings his ass off. The production is great. 'Don't Settle For Less' is my fave from this album.

I personally feel that this was a great CD better than the first one. This is completely what 1986 was about. The first two people must have also thought that VH's 5150 was awful, but it was just great rock, in the usa!!!!!!!!

I have never heard this band but have always been very curious but them. I would just love to know why there are so many mix emotions on them. So many people hate them and so many people love them??

I'm suprised no one has mentioned Shortino's stint in Quiet Riot. I actually prefer that to the Rough Cutt material. One of these guys is in the nu-metal band Orgy now(Amir).

Amir has a brief role in the current film "Freaky Friday" as well. He plays the MC at the House of Blues.

If you want to hear what Free would have sounded like if formed in the early to mid 80s, this CD is it. I haven't tired of it in over 15 years.

I'm gonna go against the grain here, and say that "Wants You" is actually,IMHO,better than their debut release."Bad Reputation" is my favorite Cutt song PERIOD,and this disc also has the killer tracks "Rock the USA","We Like it Loud",and "Let 'em Talk".The other tracks are so-so. Even though some of the material on here is definitely "filler", Shortino shines as he always does; definitely one of my top 10 fave vocalists!

I never understood the appeal of this one. I thought it was pretty by numbers and uninspiring. I like the debut.

I have always been a huge Rough Cutt fan, I really love this one too. I saw them open up for Dio twice, they were in support of this album (no discs back then) Are they ever going to release this again? Hope so. http://home.earthlink.net/~gingis/

This is a quality release. While it is not as good as some of the stuff that came out in this era, it is worthwhile. I remember rocking out to this in high school. It is heavy on bass and vocals. Shortino does sing his ass off. Easily the best of all the Cutt records. I don'e believe there is an unlistenable song on the entire disk. If you are a fan of Danger Danger and Motley, you will love this album.

I think the debut is gooder but also this one is excellent.Paul Shortino Is a great singer and I consider”Take a chance”one of the best 80’s song ever heard.

It was going to be next to impossible for the guys to do better than the debut but if it was even close, I knew I would love it. It was close and I loved it. Not as dark, more "poppy" and radio friendly while still rockin' very hard. Another great slab of fantastic music. 90/100

At first I liked Rock the U.S.A. and that was about it. After all these years it's really grown on me. Now, I like it more than the first album. There are some really strong songs on this album.
