|WOW! Snagged this one cheap from an Amazon seller ($15) and I've got to say, music wise, it's one of the best $15 I've ever spent! I'm enjoying the hell out of this CD! This is 80s hard rock at it's best; big hair, big choruses, and big time bad outfits! LOL! This sucker rocks from start to finish, and should appeal to fans of groups like Dokken, Keel, Kix, Helix, etc....If you're a fan of classic 80s style hard rock, and can find a copy of this.....GRAB IT! You won't be disappointed!

|hey, i have this on vinyl since 198?. I remember kranking up the first 2 songs on this album 'not afraid of the night' and 'do it again' because the guitarhooks reminded me of DiMartini/Crosby of the ratt heydays. This is a good 80's hardrock album , a must for rockers that dig the bands Whiplash1972 mentioned...

|So Whiplash1972, are we gonna see one of these tunes as download of the month? Where are these guys from anyways? Never heard of them nor can i find much about them. The Ratt comparision has me interested though.

|I'll get an MP3 or two of Dagger up on my website the next time I change the "Download of the Month" for ya Dean, but be sure to check out the DotM right now, as we have some demos from a band known as The Chambermaids; one of HH's very own board members' former band! http://www.geocities.com/Whiplash1972

|Don't worry about that Whiplash-your site is one of the ones i constantly check for updates-some of those links have provided hundreds of cool rare and hard to find tunes- esp the one featuring Detroit. Best of all they're legal. I already got the Chambermaids tunes from ya. I did find some more info on Dagger- a Canadian band from Quebec who also had a couple of demos out before this album. They were first named Hell's Dagger and broke up not long after this record was released.

|Does anyone know what year this recording was reissued on CD? Obviously ATTIC did not release it on compact disc in 1985?

|Not as polished as Dokken, and less melodic as Keel, nevertheless good 80's style heavy/hard rock. I miss here some good melodies, but 80's climate is there for sure, check out song It's Allright pure 80's feeling...for fans of Dokken, Keel and especially High Tension...

|This is fantastic Glam !! Glad to see it's been re-issued on CD some 20 years after the original release... Hard rocking anthemic Canadian glam metal.

|Wouldn't call this glam at all ! Out on CD indeed. Vanderveld gives a good description : a bit ā la Dokken, but without the class I'm afraid. There's no Lynch aboard !

|Not bad at all guys ! If you're into 80's style hair metal this is it for you.Pretty good riffs,catchy choruses to sing along with,melodic metal in the vane of Dokken,Firehouse,Ratt etc...Love this stuff

|I expected a lot more from this after reading the above comments, but must admit I was a little disappointed. To me, they are comparable in image to Dokken, but not really musically. They lack the big choruses, crisp riffs and overall class of Dokken. The title track is extremely good, and definately a winner, but the rest was pretty average hard rock, IMO.

|Good Hard Rock album, el 85 un aņo que dificilmente puedas encontrar album malo dentro del Rock Dagger asi lo demuestra un disco variado en estilos Not Afraid Of The Night(Descomunal el mejor tema), Once Again We're Rocking(ese empeizo me encanta)Do It Again, It's Alright lo mejor del disco bueno viendolo de alguien que le gusta el Hard Rock bien puesto, el resto mas en plan Sleazy/Glam para amantes de lo 80's 7.5/10.

|This CD is pretty good. Like everyone said this is good melodic hard rock and if you like 80's hard rock/metal than you'll like this. Favorite tracks are 2, 3, 8, and 10. If interested in buying, this album was reissued on CD so it is available.

|Yeah good album from a band that deserved more...perhaps the year (85)was great for some bands but for others quite dull...in fact if you compare this album with one from a major melodic hard rock act of that stage....this would have been a marvellous one!!!...tracks 1,2,4,5,7 are great numbers!...if you are into Autograph and Icon to mention some you'll like this one too!.85/100

|The title track Not Afraid Of The Night is amazing and stands out. The rest is not at the same level but there are some decent songs though. Could have been an amazing album with some more highlights.

|This was released in 1985 & reissued on CD 10 years later (1995). DAGGER originally formed as HELL'S DAGGER in 1982 & released a Demo under that moniker titled, "Metal Rebels" (with none of those songs appearing here). They then shortened their name to DAGGER & released another Demo in 1984 titled, "Give 'Em What They Want" (with all 3 songs appearing on this release). The title track of that Demo also appeared on the "Moose Molten Metal" Compilation from 1985. This full length LP was then released & they disbanded shortly afterwards. Some people classify them as a "Flash Metal" band as opposed to "Glam". It's all one in the same. These guys had less punch than a KEEL & really sounded like KIX (especially Frank Ross's vocals), but alot blander. There were some moments here & the band had the potential to follow this up with something much bigger. The correct title of the last track should be "As The Heat Falls Down". If nothing else, it's a rarity with the CD also being elusive.

||Date: October 3, 2017 at 13:44|
|hum it s a very average record.it sound old and have nothing extrordinary.the "singer" and the backing vocals are very weak and sound amateur.musically this band have absoluty not the same level than masters like dokken or autograph.
