The last solo Ace disc before signing on to do the KISS reunion. This is a mixed bag of throw aways with some very strong material. The cover of Do Ya is great, you almost get the feel of it being one of better original songs. Again surrounded by a group great musicians. I guess you'd expect alot more when you have such a great line-up & guests, the measuring bar is a little higher. 5.0 on this one

Best thing Ace ever put out non-Kiss as it's less produced than the Frehley's Comet stuff and he sounds more "honest" to me when he plays down-n-dirty rock-n-roll. Excellent guitar playing but something tells me this is the best he could ever do by himself as he's just not the strongest songwriter.

Very good album if you like Ace 1978 solo album. The sound is more in that direction, not like the Frehley´s Comet pussy stuff! Cheers /Patrik Ek, Sweden

The true star of KISS has a brand of rock & roll all of his own.You either love it or hate it which is how it should be anyway.Includes one of the many versions of "Hide Your Heart" released around the same time(most notably by Kiss, Molly Hatchet & Bonnie Tyler).Ace's version was the best offering..........obviously!

Just gave this cd a try. Its been in my collection for ages, and I never really listened to it. D A M N Its good. I feared it would be on my Worst 25 list, but NO WAY. If I should mention one bad thing it would be, the lame cover of Hide Your Heart. I now have it by KISS, ACE FREHLEY, ROBIN BECK and MOLLY HATCHET. Any one else.??? If you dont have this disc, GET IT.

yeah this is a cracking disc. love it and I'm not even a big ace fan. all I can say is, thank jeezus Peter Criss didn't see fit to cover Hide Your Heart as well. I'm imagining it right now, and it's not good haha

Great remake of ELO's "Do Ya", but aside from that there's not too much to recommend. It's a competent album, but its loaded with throwaway songs. Ace really should have used more outside help in the songwriting department.

On the Trouble Walkin' CD I just bought (1998 Megaforce) it says "Frehley's Comet" on the spine but it says "Ace Frehley" on the front. I did not think this was a Frehley's Comet release. Is this a reissue printing error or does the original 1989 release say "Frehley's Comet" on the spine as well?

The original release says "Ace Frehley" on the spine. Don't know why they changed it to "Frehley's Comet" for the re-release.

My fave Ace album ever. Couple of songs benefit from Skid Row doing backing vocals etc. Not a crappy track on the whole album!

Not as polished as the Frehley's Comet CDs of a few years back and it's actually a good thing. "Do Ya" is an excellent cover of the ELO track and Ace does a bang up job on "Hide Your Heart" as well. "Shot Full Of Rock" and "Trouble Walkin" are exactly what we expect from Ace. "Fractured III" has some classy playing on it. Highly recommended if you enjoyed Ace's solo from '78.

Trouble Walkin' is brilliant! The sound is much heavier than the frst 3 Comet albums. 2 Young 2 Die is the Standout track on this album. The tracks are solid and very rocking, although i prefer KISS' version of Hide Your Heart to Ace's version here. Watch out for Remember Me - Ace is renowned for chosing good album closing songs - Remember Me is no exception. Rock On Space Man!

Unfortunately I never got into this one. A solid hard rock disc, just not really to my personal likings. The songs didn't strike me and were not memorable enough, IMO. I'm sure the fans liked it though...

The joke in Ace's inner circle was that the album title meant Ace HAD trouble walking. However, Ace puts together his best effort sans KISS, probably by accident, with all out rocker "Back to School" and the title track being especially memorable. Ace is at the top of his game here (which admittedly is like being a champion Shoots and Ladders player) and the production has a good,live feel. One correction, "Do Ya" was first done by The Move, which featured Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan later of ELO.

I thought this was his weakest release-Trouble walking indeed!! also trouble singing , playing and recording any decent songs. The cover versions are the best here-nuff said

Well, if I were to compare this CD to a deck of cards, it wouldn't be the joker, but it certainly wouldn't be the ace of spades either. Freed from the restraints of serving the almighty Kiss machine, Frehley comes up with a mess of music that...well, that sounds an awful lot like a bunch of Kiss b-sides. Personally, I had no trouble walkin' away from this album.

i like this album but anyone who thinks ace's version of hide your heart was better than kiss' is just being plain silly ace could never sing like paul and technically bruce kulick is a better guitarist than ace anyway back to this shot full of rock,do ya,hide your heart,lost in limbo and the title track are all standouts for me nice stuff from ace
