Jippii ! I'm first. Awesome AOR with a strong pop feeling. Empire released some really good albums during this time.

From: AOR freaky Date: May 7, 2004 at 5:41
Indeed great, fine AOR ! Ballard, you were the first and you're right ! Great stuff and very recommended !

From: ROB GARCIA Date: May 7, 2004 at 13:26
damn!!...well i guess i'm third this time round.back in 1994 this was considered one of the most pure aor releases of that year and to be honest even today in 2004 i still think that very few albums could match up that description!. to those of you who loved the planet 3 album, should seriously keep an eye on this one cause stylewise it's very similar and obviously you get to hear the same lead singer! if that wasn't enough credit the quality of the material displayed in here it's near aor

From: ROB GARCIA Date: May 7, 2004 at 13:32
perfection!!. i think this one is a bit tough to find these days but don't give up your search for it and remember...sell your granny if you have to but get this cause this is something really especial!!...pure magic...yeah!!!!!.

From: TIM (2) Date: May 12, 2004 at 10:23
Awesome. Robin Beck stole the opener to open her own "Can't Get Off" album, but it isn't as good as this. Has to be one of the best opening tunes ever to a CD, and is only better than the first Planet 3 album because it has more tracks! (and Planet 3 has a dreadful last track). Magness is a genius, and after his work with Clay Aiken and O-Town in the US is probably a much richer genius than he was previously! Classic album.

From: Rycheage Date: May 15, 2004 at 15:26
The album's best moment is the glorious AOR of 'Jennys Still In Love', where the urgency is maintained throughout. 'Only You' is a guitar driven track alternating between accoustic and electric. 'Flower Girl' is a quaint reggae flavored tune which goes against the grain, while another ballad 'Dreams Fade Away' finishes off what is an entertaining album all round.

From: Gabi Date: May 23, 2004 at 6:55
CD bastante interesante con altos y bajos.En mi opinión destacaría las canciones "Footprints in the Rain", "It's Only Love" y "Jenny's Still in Love" que me recuerdan muchísimo a Planet 3.Producción de lujo, de hecho Magness es productor del fenómeno canadiense Avril Lagvine.

GREAT GREAT GREAT, KILLER CLASSIC AOR, Ahora si lo digo con mayusculas un CLASICO DEL AOR, sin duda uno de los mejores de ese año en la cumbre, que joyasa, en la onda de Planet 3 aunque estos hacen mas un Westcooast AOR en cambio este es puro AOR, tremendos temas como It's Only Love(Mi favorito, QUE TEMA POR DIOS, SE ME PONE LA PIEL DE GALLINA, TEMAS ASI CONVIERTEN UN ALBUM EN CLASICO TOTAL), Jenny's Still in Love, Footprints in the Rain, One Way Out, Dreams Fade Away

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 1, 2005 at 23:39

From: Joan Date: March 23, 2005 at 5:25

A super release which got a little overlooked at the time of it's release. Copies of it now are getting really hard to find so if you see it at a price that you are prepared to pay then grab it. Nice mellow chilled AOR great for a night in. The songs are bang on throughout and the only song I'm not overkeen on is "Flower Girl" has a contrived reggae feel to it. The Japanese copy has a picture of a babys head on it and is just damn cute haha! 10/10 for this as it get LOTS of plays at home.

From: The Dolphin Date: April 12, 2005 at 11:38
I'm not a big fan of westcoast, but this cd is wonderful!I prefer this one than The Planet3 cd.

From: juan carlos Date: February 16, 2006 at 15:55

From: juan carlos Date: February 23, 2006 at 22:07

From: HaremScarem Date: March 9, 2006 at 12:26
Gran disco de AOR, vaya pedazo de tema "Jenny's Still in Love", impresionante, para mi la mejor del disco. Grandísimos temazos también como "It`s only love" o "Solo". 8,75/10

From: JF Date: March 20, 2006 at 20:48
Altamente recomendado.

Q Grandioso Clif!!! Absolutamente Super Recomendado!! 9 d 10!!!

From: juan carlos Date: December 24, 2006 at 10:39
Saludos.

Great record! One of the best AOR/Westcoast albums I've ever heard.

From: Clayton77 Date: January 14, 2007 at 20:24
I agree to AORster, this album is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Perfect AOR/Westcoast and a MUST HAVE for all the people who loves this musicstyle!!!!!!!!!!

From: Carlos A. Date: January 29, 2007 at 17:37

From: juan carlos Date: January 29, 2007 at 18:06
A disfrutarlo. Saludos. Para mí 9/10

From: lalorock Date: January 31, 2007 at 19:55
Totalmente de acuerdo con la mayoría, discazo maravilloso de principio a fin, todas las canciones te envuelven con esa magia que solo Clif Magness puede hacer,si he de enumerar las mejores, casi no podría ante tanta delicia auditiva pero lo mejor de lo mejor serían It´s only love (me recuerda a It´s not enough de STARSHIP) y Jenny´s still in love temazos que no pararías de escucharlo 100 veces y no te cansarías, AOR West coast de primera 9/10.

From: newscandi Date: August 21, 2007 at 16:54
Very good album somewhere between lighter AOR(with some howling guitar parts though) & westcoast. "Footprints in the rain" strongly reminds on BRIAN ADAMS in terms of voice. Musically I would place it near to JOHN WARREN's "Rain down on me". Many songs are also hi tech inspirated as is the best example "Ready or not". My favourite "Dreams fade away" is a power hi tech AOR/westcoast ballad of finest choice. However, the other songs are all near that good. 92/100 Imo, Better than PLANET 3.

From: Whitesnake Date: August 22, 2007 at 8:54
This is a decent record, but I do not think this is a masterpiece. I feel the same when it comes to Dan Lucas "Canada". This is light AOR, but Bob Halligan's solodebut is for example better than this one IMO (and that's the same genre). Sometimes Cliff's voice is too soft, when he reaches for the high tunes. Anyway the opener is very good, and it's right that he sounds like Bryan Adams on that one - 8/10.

From: newscandi Date: September 14, 2007 at 15:22
For me it's such a perfect candlelight music. It's soft, it's AOR, it is melodic with a little hi tech feel. The best songs IMO I've already mentioned but every song is strong. A masterpiece. But I will listen to Halligan and will be back

From: ROBERT Date: November 21, 2007 at 10:26
Saludos dd Barna!!

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: April 11, 2008 at 18:36
Another real gem from the PLANET 3 saga with the amazing Three (Magness, Graydon and Ballard). Westcoast AOR with great quality. With very romantic and passionate songs like "It´s Only Love", "One Way Out", the cadence of "Khaleela" (which reminds me a lot to Toto); the amazing title track "Solo"; "Flower Girl" and we can hear Clif with a very ACE OF BASE style... but my favorite track is, with no doubt, the incredible "Jenny´s Still In Love", a real AOR masterpiece with melodies and hooks!!

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: April 11, 2008 at 18:43
Well. Despite i consider PLANET 3´s Music From The Planet a better album than this, it´s inevitable to get excited with such songs like these... I strongly recomend L.A. COWBOYS´s Endless Summer, another Westcoast wonder!!

From: KurtmanJP Date: April 26, 2008 at 0:51
I'm hooked on the title track "Solo". I just can't stop listening to it! The song sounds like something out of Jeff Paris' "Race To Paradise" or which is right up my alley in the AOR department!

Now this IS one CD that has been crying out for a re-issue for ages. Surprisingly, this is Clif Magness only solo album so far, but it is westcoast at it's very best in my opinion and some absolute killer songs on here. 'Footprints In The Rain' destroys Robin Beck's version on her 'Can't Get Off' album and just how good are songs like 'Jenny's Still In Love' and 'Khalela'?. The only let down on here is 'Flower Girl', which is a pretty boring reggae tinged pop track, but the 2 extra bonus tracks that have been tacked onto the end of this lovely re-issue, make up for that one little blip and are really very good additions to an already fantastic album.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 27, 2010 at 18:51
Cliff Magness...finally..and not deception whatsoever..very enjoyable album, the sound here is amazing and the songs are fantastic.."Footprints In The Rain" is powerful,"It's Only Love" great,"Hold Me Lee Anne" sensitive and precious ballad,"One Way Out" one of my faves,"Jenny's Still In Love" very good,"If We Can't Do It" another fave this one has an excellent chorus,"Flower Girl" is the poppy song of the album but i quite liked it & "Solo" an amazing ballad...great album to have and the voice of Magness is similar to Richard Marx especially when he hits the higher notes( upsss, did i say Richard Marx???..hope it doesn't create any kind of streess to anybody or controversy,hahaha),buy!.92/100

From: MHR Date: September 19, 2011 at 5:08

From: hair metal again Date: September 25, 2015 at 4:29
sensational release by CLIF MAGNESS and i m glad i bought the reissue !top class sound, songs and superb vocals by Clif !absolute killer stuff with "it s only love","what s a heart to do","jenny s still in love","footprints in the rain" and "one way out" stealing the show!essential

From: tomdwa Date: May 21, 2020 at 7:43
Nice album, but not the classic some see in it. The good songs on the record are very good though: the crunching opener Footprints in the rain, and the infectious duo It's only love and Jenny's still in love. These songs are worth the admission price.
