Wow! $150 for this? NO way. I bought this off ebay for $90, didn't think it was worth it, and sold it for $90 But I did keep a copy! Highlights are the opener, which may be her best song as a solo artist, Break you down, which has a nice hook and rhythm to it, and Hideaway, which is a great AOR type track. School's Out is a terrible cover of Alice Cooper's hit, and Turn it Loud is even worse. Overall, very uneven, but it does have 2 or 3 very good tracks. |

usd$150 and usd$90 for this. HOLY F*CK!!! What happens in this evil world of music? I have the CDRs of these two albums and they're throw away pop rock. I cannot believe those prices. Think of what you could get for that kind of money! Decent CDs, but work aud$5.00 each IMO. |

Solid Release, by this AMERICAN-Born hard rock vixen. Fans of slick mid 80s AOR in the vein of Atsushi Yokozeki (Raid), Lee Aaron (Powerline only...), and a less 'glammy' LAOS will enjoy this one. Personally, I think it's a very strong release. Steffanie sang on SHOW-YA's '94 swansong release. Hey- to some, no CD is worth $30... to others, $300... It's a matter of passion for collecting. Just as some would never pay more than $20,000 for a car, others will pay $200,000... Need I say more? |

To: jessica96fish... just for the record, I'm sayin' the above with a smile dude. Nothing harsh intended. I too have my limits as to what I'll spend for a disc for my personal collection. Back to the topic at hand... Stefannie is of Japanese descent (obviously) but was born & raised in California, hence... she actually is a U.S. artist (alas, wrong section, Dan!) hehehe... sorry, I'm just being a smarta$$. heheheh. |

I just scored this CD for $30 on eBay. Still waiting on it, looking forward to hearing it. |

This album has a few good songs on it and I like Steffanie's voice, but other than that I'd classify it as 'average.' Definitely not worth the $101 this site claims it to average on eBay, but worth the $30 I paid. |

Para mí solo un peldaño mejor que el "Hideaway" pues los buenísimos solos de su anterior placa no hay en muchos temas aquí ademas que la voces femeninas no son de mis preferidas. La versión del clásico de Alice Cooper está demas IMO. "No Hold On You" gran tema de AOR muy buena, "Burnin' Up The Night", "Miles Away", "Break You Down" la riffera "Breakout" (buena aunque tímida inclusión de teclados) y por ahí "She Wants Everything" los mejores del disco. Recomendado. 8.5/10 |

Right off the bat...This isn't as good as "Hideaway". The album kicks off with the totally awesome "Burnin' Up The Night" (love the video by the way!), but it quickly drops off. The most noticable difference is the vocal mix. It's terrible! Maybe Steffanie's voice was wrecked and it was an attempt to cover it up? (after all, it was only a year after the debut)I don't know...The cover of "School's Out" isn't too bad, but it wouldn't have been my idea of a single. However, "Breakout" and "She Wants Everything" are great tracks, much more in the vain of the first album. What really makes this album worth owning though is the ballad "No Hold On You". It's simple, but it really suits Steffanie's vocal style. I liked the fact there was a ballad on this album (there wasn't one on the debut), and it did make an okay album pretty good. I'll give this 85/100 seeing as it's Steffanie...She had the best hair in the 80's by the way! |

With a rockier sound Steffanie presented her second release..in fact a bit more enjoyable than her Hideaway album mainly because the guitars had an important participation IMHO...anyway about the tracks,"Burnin' Up The Night" a catchy starter,"Miles Away" & "He Won't Rock" are a couple Fastway covers! you can find these ones in the Fastway album Bad Bad Girls, both covers are really well performed by Steffanie and obviously with her personal touch ,"School's Out" is one of Alice Cooper's most representative tracks & is also covered in here, honestly for me was like a filler,a regular leading to bad cover ,well everything cannot be perfect in life,i guess ,"No Hold On You" is a goodie one & "Breakout" is excellent...90/100 |
