well,well,well...this is quite a surprise; listening to this its like listening to bon jovi back in the eighties playing some excellent pomp rock. and thats very much what youre gonna get here so if youre into pomp rock then this is a must!.this album was supposed to be released in the late eighties but due to some twist of fate from their record company it just never happened;fortunately the now defunct but clever guys at long island picked this one up and released it themselves.that was a

smart thing to do as this is probably one of the most underrated pomp rock bands of the late eighties.nuff said.

Fantastic and unique record. You can't name any other band with this kind of sound. It's a mix of pomp and yes . . . name it ! Original from start to finish. Great, great stuff !!!!

Can someone tell me if this Long Island release was a reissue ? If so, when was it originally released, and the label ?

i think highly of the aor tune 'keep us out of danger' with that excellent keyboard line which reminds me a bit of James Bond...Underrated band that's for sure

I used to go to see Autodrive when they would play at Metro 107 in Miami around 1990. Does anyone know what Jimmy Murdock is up to?

The shitty cover makes this seem like a 70's disc and gives a very drab impression, but it's not that bad. Unfortunately I got convinced by statements like the above and gave it a go. I think it's okay and a pretty fine AOR album, but I certainly don't think as highly of it as many of the above. Good AOR, but not great IMO. And a slight guess is that a freaky poster on this board will be amazed that I love Attraction so much but find this average. Guess that's what opinions are for.

This is from 1985 according to the booklet. I've just dug this one out again to see what the fuss is about. Played it alongside my 2 fave Long Island re-issues (SIMON CHASE 'Thrill of the Chase' and RESCUE 'S/T') and it's a million miles behind. Decent pompy AOR, but not a disc I've played very often. 6.5/10.

Very Good AOR/Pomp/Melodic Rock album, ya me parecia extraño que fuera del 95 año en el que fue relanzado como muchos tantos, casos de Simon Chase o Qwest, sonido 80's total con un estilo unico, otro album muy rico en temas Borderline, Take Care My Love, Keep Us Out Of Danger, If There Was A Way, She's A Little Selfish... para darle 8/10 IMO. saludos gente Rockera desde Ica-Peru de Rafo Phoenix un amante del mejor Rock de todos los tiempos RafoPhoenix@hotmail.com

Loved Autodrive in the 80's, and a couple of us are trying to put together a reunion to be played in Tampa, and we are searching for Jimmy Murdock, lead singer from Autodrive. Please let me know if anyone has a lead on him? Wes can still be found in Tampa, so you should look him up, and catch a show!!

"Stay With Me" wow, what a chorus! catchy catchy catchy! this song reminded me to Surrender("Better Late Than Never" album) the USA indieAOR band, my favorite song, "Borderline" "If There Was A Way" and "She's A Little Selfish" are my favorite tracks, the rest are ok/good. The bonus tracks are fillers IMO 11)New World Machine 12)Best In You 13)Going Down The Hard Way. Good AOR 8/10
