| Full disclosure - I've never been a real fan of Slama and Denander's AOR project, feeling they've rarely pulled off the type of songwriting that's supposed to make this genre memorable. I keep coming back to check out their latest lineups, but in this instance, my curiosity hasn't really been rewarded. The most memorable tracks with the strongest choruses are "A Smile in my Heart," "Scene of the Crime" and "Hold Back Tomorrow." Most of the other songs range from decent to forgettable, rarely getting out of first gear, with "Stronger than Desire" and "Lost in Cold Heaven" being downright boring. Steph Honde is the lineup's MVP, his Jorn Lande-inspired vocals mixing surprisingly well with the more mellow sound. Dakota's Bill Kelly also makes the most of his appearance. Everyone else does about what you'd expect without really standing out, with the exception of Paul Sabu's horribly-aged voice explicitly bringing down the otherwise decent "Street of Illusions."
