The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Shanghai CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Shanghai are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Dirty Griry and downright Catchy Hard Rock these guys coulda been huge in the US but sadly were overlooked. If you want to know what your missing, I suggest you check this album out.

Firstly, I'd just like to say I'd like to swap my cover of this CD! Take a look at the two on offer and you can guess which one I was unfortunate enough to end up with. Either way, this release actually took me by surprise. I had their second one first and thought it decent, but sort of standard hard rock. This one comes out firing a hundred riffs a minute and most songs are killer. Highly recommended for fans of LA style riff heavy hard rock. Awesome stuff.

Yeah-i know what you mean Geoff- that cover with the handcuffs rules. I'd feel cheated if i got the other one too. This one is a pretty good album-lots of energy, lots of cool riffs, nothing you haven't heard before but still kicks ass.

From: Marla (MJ) Date: September 5, 2004 at 23:26
Well.....I got the cover with the tat on the girl's back...and that's totally cool with me...lol. VERY good release!!! I like "Please Me, Tease Me" and "Push It In" best....but, really.... every song (to me) is great stuff!!!

From: Greg Date: September 6, 2004 at 11:01
I have seen the other cover on ebay, it's really not that hard to get, if you wanna pay for it!

This has that 80s LA sleaze sound to it. Like it a lot, and unfortunately I have the tame cover with the tattooed chick on it. The second one took a bit, but grew on me after time, but I still like the energy and rawness of this one. Quality hair metal.

This one's so good, it'd be worth being the spooge-sodden recipient in a bukkake video if that's what it took to obtain a copy. Thankfully, this excellent slab of sleazy hair-metal can be had relatively cheaply, meaning there should be no need to subject yourself to a pud-pudding bath (unless that happens to be your kink). The hooks on here are catchy as hell and pack a killer commercial bite and they are accompanied by some great, gang-vocal-equipped choruses. Once you've had a taste of this album, you'll definitely want to take another bite...

amazing hair metal release with much energy ,great riffs and howling guitars.of course it has a commercial edge that makes SHANGHAI a balanced band.james christian production is raw and the songs sound really strong.some hits included like "please me tease me","big and sleazy" and "push it in".awesome stuff
