If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Helix CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Helix are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Not as good as the previous as they went more commercial, but tracks 1,6,7,8,10 are pretty good

All in all a good release, NOT as good as Razors edge and No rest, but still a good effort. Hard to find.

este disco es el que mas me gusta por melodico y por tener algunas canciones tipo aor , no me gusta comparar sus discos siento que esta es una etapa diferente en su discografia que no ha sido lo suficientemente valorada por los fans del aor. rating 8.5/10

This release is often panned as too commercial, but for my money it is an excellent slab-o-80's rock. They seem to have substituted some energy for sophistication, and that alienated some. Songs like "Kids Are All Shakin" and "Don't Touch..." remind me of Black-n-Blue (Without Love. In general, this is the only Helix disc I listen to anymore. Not to disturb the Canadians (never want to do that), but this bunch remained second string, having a hard time making relevant sounding music.

I actually like this one a little more than WALKIN THE RAZOR'S EDGE. It doesn't really sound any more commercial than their previous efforts. I think that there was a more concentrated effort to write a hit single on this, but that actually made this a stronger album. "Deep Cuts the Knife" is still one of their all time best songs, but the other songs on this are solid as well. "Christine" was featured in the DeGrassi High movie SCHOOL'S OUT(don't laugh... I loved that show!).

Like the posts above I think they went for a more radio friendly sound but still a great album.

Deep Cuts The Knife one of the best songs of Helix 8/10

With really strong songs like "The Kids Are All Shakin'", "Deep Cuts The Knife" (man this should have been a no. 1 hit! Essential), "Long Way to Heaven", and "Without You (Jasmine's Song)" (excellent ballad-type of song), this album should have taken Helix to the first league without a doubt. Amazing album. There's plenty of guitars and paced rockers too. Helix recorded 30!! good songs in just three years imo. They say you need luck just as much as talent and timing, but luck (with sales and increased fame) was not for Helix, unfortunately. In fact, Capitol dissed them after Wild In The Streets (also a fine album).
