Utterley awesome Cd of the finest melodic rock with pomp overtones. Production is good, the playing is excellent and the songs are catchy and well constructed. A gem of a release that you should track down if you love pomp infused melodic rock |

I have listened to this again and can find tracers of 707, Biloxi, LeRoux, Elfante era Kansas mixed with 80's style soloing and a great production. To be honest I just love the tracks on this and the sound is all their own (IMO)they have borrowed liberally but not plagerised a genre if that makes sense. I hate comparisons!! |

Have to agree with the guys here, pretty hard to pick a comparison here, but I think the Lillian Axe one is pretty good. These guys are great, solid hard rock. They had the look, had an awesome sound and great songs. I think most fans of good solid hard rock would enjoy this one. I don't think it's spectacular, but I think it's very good. I'd throw in Stranger too, as a comparison perhaps. Hard to pick though. Good stuff. |

NO PROBLEM FOR HELP,I AM GLAD WHEN I CAN DO IT!!YES GEOFF,LILLIAN AXE ONE LEVEL UP TOI MIRROR...BUT ALSO MIRROR A KILLER CD AS LILLIAN AXE(ALSO IMMACULATE MARY VERY CLOSE TO LILLINA AXE BUT MUCH INFERIOR FOR EXAMPLE).YES,SOMETHIN'ABOUT STRANGER BUT STRANGER FOR ME...UUHHHH!!!DON T LIKE THEM FOR NOTHING,BORING SONGS,NO CATCHIN CHORUSES,3/10 IN MY OPINION!!HAPPY HOLIDAYS GUYS!!!!!!!!!! |
From: Geoff | Date: December 27, 2004 at 4:26 |
Hey z4roxx - yeah, agreed Lillian Axe are a much better band but you bring up a couple of points that evade me. Lillian Axe similar to Immaculate Mary? Immaculate Mary are one of the worst bands I've ever heard with a vocalist that'd kill a corpse... because it'd be scared back to life and then end it's own rejuvinated life to escape the voice! And boring / no choruses from Stranger? I respect your opinion, but heartily disagree. Some bad albums, but also a fair few gems. Good band, IMO. |

GEOFF,I RE-LISTENED IMMACULATE MARY...AND I SHOULD GIVE YOU THE RIGHT,NOT A GREAT CD BUT I QUITE LIKE IT..THE PARAGON WITH LILLIAN AXE IS ONLY FOR STYLE(IN SOME SONGS)BUT THERE ISN T A COMPARISON ABSOLUTELY!!BUT FOR ME STRANGER AN AWFUL BAND,ONE OF THE WORST I HAVE(BUT I HAVE ONLY"NO MORE DIRTY DEALS"CD).BUT MIRROR FOR ME A MASTERPIECE!REMINDS ME WITH CHORUS AND VOICE TO SHY.... |

Very Good Melodic Hard Rock, Great style but decent singer quiza ese sea el punto flojo se que se parece en algo al timbre de Tony Mills pero no llega a su nivel temas como Tell Me Why, I Don't Know Why, Easy (Rock On), Need Your Lovin', Was It Me?, Say Your Prayers son el tipo de cortes que te levantan del asiento asi que imaginen con otro cantante seria otra historia pero obviando ese punto flojo este album esta hecho para un amante del Hard Melodico 8.5/10 |
