Yeah, i thoung this album won't make it to this site, but i\m blad Don\s album is here. I like it alot. It's Typical 80's AOR with pop echos. Pure 80's nostalgia.

Son of a bitch! I'm gonna have nightmares about this one tonight!

From: T-Bone Date: April 25, 2004 at 8:46
Actually, this wasn't a bad album at all. The creators of Miami Vice wanted to capitolize on the shows success and also the success of MTV by throwing Dons mug out there. I think they were pretty surprised when they found out he could actually sing. Yes...seriously...this wasn't bad at all. Later stuff of his wasn't that great, but this one passed the test.

You gotta be kidding me! Although Don Johnson comes from a musical background(he co-wrote most of the songs off the Allman Brothers "Enlightened Rougues" album back in '79), you'd never know it from this bland, overproduced, self-indulgent mess. Yes, I have heard the album in it's entirity(unfortunately), so I'm not just judging this based on the title "hit". With all the quality albums out there, why would anyone waste their time on this? Please don't add Bruce Willis to the database as well.

From: bateman Date: April 30, 2004 at 11:23
well, why not? this one has some great musicians onboard as well as some strong rock moments (heartbeat, the last sound love makes) and is just boring in others. doesn't hurt anyone though. Remember the Miami Vice producers goin wild b/c don would pay more attention to his musician career than to be an actor. Highly argueable whether this is "heavy" in any form but a good record with a talented singer. 6.5/10

Ignore this release and check out "The Return Of Bruno" from Bruce Willis. That was a cool album and, personally, I think Bruce Willis is a much better actor and a much better singer than Don Johnson.

I'm sorry but DON JOHNSON and MIAMI VICE is what's the 80s are about --As an actor I don't like Bruce Willis either-- Well, the music of Don you don't need to hear but Heartbeat is a nice "hit"

From: juan carlos Date: December 17, 2005 at 12:42
Fino 8/10

MIAMI VICE RUULLZZ!!!! i loved that tv show, i was probably 5 or 6 years old, can´t remember well, i used to watch it everytime i got the chance!!! even today, no action tv series can touch it!!! from this album, i can only comment on the HEARTBEAT song, coz it´s the only song i´ve heard from this album! i thought the video(and the song, of course) is pretty cool, good for relaxing moments! CORRUPCION EN MIAMI FUE, Y ES: LA MEJOR SERIE DE ACCION DE TODOS TIEMPOS EN LA TV!!!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: February 1, 2006 at 10:54

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: February 1, 2006 at 10:57

From: swriter Date: July 24, 2006 at 17:34
ok, don't tell anybody, but, when this came out, I really liked it, and still do!!!!! hehehehe not groundbreaking, but good for the time it came out in!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 23, 2006 at 0:15
Ok let's see...an everygirl's hunk actor gone rock singer...nice combo!.This album by an old time favourite actor was unimagineable,i mean, this is a good album!.It may be not an essential one but it rocks in some songs. The participation of greatests musicians such as Dwezzil zappa,Stevie Ray Vaughn(R.I.P) and so on makes it attractive to any person.Songs?,"The last sound love makes" and of course "Heartbeat" are powerful hard aor rocking tunes.Am i wrong?

From: kipjuanjo Date: April 9, 2007 at 7:24
As Raffo says, if we don´t like bonanza we don´t like 38specials .

Bruce Willis? And what about Eddie Murphy???

From: Ryan Date: February 3, 2009 at 6:48
When I first bought it, I was suprised that it wasn't a complete piece of crap. Don is a pretty okay singer. Some tracks are pretty catchy; "Heartbeat", "The Last Sound Love Makes".... It get's much more slack from people than it deserves a lot of the time. 6.5/10 -> 7/10.

From: pepus71 Date: February 2, 2010 at 17:02
"The last sound love makes"...ROCK ON!!!!!

From: CMGio Date: April 28, 2010 at 15:36
I may be the minority here, but I actually enjoy this album very much. "Heartbeat" is a killer track.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 31, 2015 at 0:54
My comment about this album is that this actor/singer could have been huge in the Melodic Rock/AOR field if he would have followed the patterns of this one in next releases...best shot for me is "The Last Sound LOve Makes" which IMHO is a blast of a song...then we have tracks 1(a major hit),2(nice),6,7 & 10(nice)that are good ones as well...a pretty interesting effort that Don did back then in music...85/100
