This band did a follow-up with a new singer (ex-Accept singer David Reece). The band changed their name to Bangalore Choir. The album was called 'On Target' and was released in 1992.

Great kick ass arena-hard rock. High energy and fun. I tried hard to find this cd in 1990 when it came out, but It was impossible. So I've downloaded it a year ago. I didn't know that the rythm section played in Bangalore Choir.My favorite song is sure Wild young & crazy. Proprio un gran bel disco, mi da' una gran carica. After all this comments in Spanish, I wanna put something in Italian, so nobody can understand.

Imagine Marq Torien out of Bulletboys fronting Ratt and you pretty much have the essence of the Hericane Alice sound. Make up your own mind as to whether or not that sounds like a good idea (after all; opinions are like assholes...everyone has one!).

If you rated every single hair band album top to bottom this one would be EXACTLY in the middle! There's almost a genius to how average this is. Hey I own it and dig it and if you love hair metal by all means pick it up but in all honesty this could be exhibit A in a courtroom for anyone who just hated all the cliches this type of music had. Kinda sounds like the lead singer of Bulletboys fronting a weak Whitesnake?? The guitar player is incredible though here!!

Some good rockers, great vocals (lower end & high) and fantastic guitar-soloing. H.A.'s 'Tear The House Down' is certainly not one of the best mainstream hairband cds you will run across & certainly not the worst. To rate the 'TTHD', I'd say about an over-all 7.8 out of 10. The dude with the blonde hair takes better care of his mop than most chicks that I have seen--he makes girls jealous! Anyway, buy this if pop-metal is your thing and you aren't expecting anything particularly original.

Tony nails it AGAIN. Only thing is: this is a little more of a party/glam outing than anything Whitesnake has been associated with. I'd say this is along the lines of a XYZ or Babylon A.D knockoff. Good production and lots of attitude make this a rewarding, if cliched, CD.

This is the perfect example of what an late 80's hair band looked,sounded like.This record take you to a time when every band that had that kind of attitude was imediately signed up!Good traditional hard rock,neat arrengements,a bit like XYZ,Bulletboys!Sharp guitars.Sharp,powerfull,high range vocals.Solid drumms.Not essencial,but quite interesting effort!

Again you can even notice by the cover some traditional design of this sort of outfit in the 80's!The singuer in the nineties became kind of a financial broker.The rest of the band remained on the music business.Jackie became the drumer of Bad Moon Rising and Bangloire Choir,like the bassist Ian Mayo!I give to this record an 70 out of 10

don't forget spf1000, a cool hollywood gothic act with Jackie on the drums..(check out their mp3.com site) the vocalist of hericane alice also sang a cool song on 'hollywood underground' a cool complilation cd made by some warrant members and some forgotten musicians from that area.. Cotton, I had also read somewhere that Marq was Ratt's lead singer at one time, but I thought it must be a misprint considering Stephen started Mickey Ratt in the late 70's and has been with them up until they broke up in the early 90's. I have no idea when that could have happened. Maybe he filled in on a few shows or something.

I'd always thought marq Torien was an original GUITARIST for Ratt, not singer, because Pearcy did start Mickey Ratt in the late '70's. Hmmmm? Hmmmm!

I saw the singer Bruce in a band called the mighty roosters in st paul. I liked hericane alices original guitarist before tear the house down. I bought the cassette on ebay. its got gold reels in a clear shell.leni dimancari was the guy,fast player.

The textbook hair band. They used every cliche in the book on this one. From the misspelled band name to the cover photo to the generic album title this personifies hair metal. You'll either love it or hate it before you even listen to it. As far as the music goes, its quite average. Nothing bad about it but it doesn't have an original bone in its spandexed and peroxided body. The singer alternately sounds like David Coverdale and Axl Rose. If you gotta own every hair metal cd, you'd better get

Most of this is run of the mill vanilla flavored hard rock done by the numbers. 'Bad To Love' is awesome though. Great, catchy verses and big harmonies in the chorus. I don't hate this album, I just find it hard to like it for some reason. 6/10.

Great attitude but not so great songwriting. Two or three good songs but not a killer album imo. The next Cd under the name of 'Bangalore Choir' is better. only the bass player and drummer went on to be in Bangalore Choir, saying or implying that that band was the same as this is crazy. 'The next Cd under the name of 'Bangalore Choir' is better.' is very misleading. it is like saying that 40ft Ringo and Trixter are the same. Yea, two members but i would hardly call the Ringo cd the next band after Trixter, which would imply that the band just changed their name and went on.

Need a Lover and I Walk Alone are up there with the best ever, I heard some superb demos that presumably would have made the next album? All these posts for a band that sounds like a second rate version of Skidrow. It's not bad at all, but nothing new. I did get it in the bargain rack for two dollars and it was certainly worth that.

Awesome album, basically every track has an awesome gang-chorus that'll stick in your head for weeks. Some killer riffs, with Naumann's vocals reminding of a cross between Axl Rose and Mark Slaughter. Kind of a mix between some Skid Row and a lot of Slaughter, this is just great sleazy metal... check it out!

This is a cd to whip out at parties. It's so funny that my friends and I were busting a gut. The worst and I mean the cheesiest lyrics. I can't count how many times the singer said "Oh baby," but if I had a nickel for everytime... If you can find it under $5, pick it up and "TEAR THE HOUSE DOWN!"

I have no problems with this CD, in fact I really quite like it. The vocals are a bit much at times, but on 'Too late' they are fine (my fave track. I always loved the first three songs, then 'Badboy breakout' and the great closer 'I walk alone'. Good solid commercial hard rock with less fillers than a lot of other albums.

Jackie "Hector" Ramos' past runs deep in my city (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). Funny how he never mentions any of it. Besides what's been mentioned already & sparcely found on the net, he was also in a local band here called Lillian X w/ David Reece (who was w/ him in Bangalore Choir). He was in various bands before and after that here as well--Bad Boy, Kid Courage, Moxy Roxx...and I saw him in Hollywood in another band but cant remember the name. It's not one thats been mentioned here at all tho.

good christ if i didn't hear that intro hurricane sound from the first song i'd say that the first song was gonna be excellent.....Young, Wild, and Crazy sums up this whole entire disc, sounds alot like Bangalore Choir w/ Hardline licks. Tear The House Down, Bad To Love and the beautiful ballad, Sweet Dreamer is all but too good to be true!! so if you're partying tonite, wanna get down, crank up the first song.........obviously Alice wouldn't push you too hard now would she..........

Ehhh...strictly average hair metal. I'm not going to throw it away but this CD never ranked near the top of my playlist either. Some decent tracks, but the lyrics are hilariously stupid (even by Hair Metal standards). There's a reason this CD is fairly cheap on eBay... cuz it isn't that good! Sorry folks, but I don't understand all the whoop de doo about this band here.

Not bad at all. Actually pretty good hair metal/glam/hard rock from 1990. At this point in time, the big labels signed plenty of bands like this as it was "in" and the norm - almost like clockwork. If you're a fan of this music then it's worth buying. Cinderella, Ratt, Britny Fox, etc. fans will like this. 7/10

That someone considers this album, one of the greatest albums of all time just makes me laugh, if not cry. This is so unoriginal, unimaginative, runofthemill contrived, that it's no strange that this is the only release from this band. Don't blame grunge. Avoidable

I would agree that this is a great release. I rememeber buying this cd from a cutout bin at a cd store in 1993, one of my 1st cds (after I bought a cd player). Great songs and production. If you like this band there is a demo cd floating around with the following songs: "Heels High" "Back Where You Belong" "Its Too Late" "Long Train" "Band Jamming" "Radar Love" "Shake Shake Shout" "Dream Girl". PLUS the band is reuniting...changed the name to "THE ALICE". "A"

I have mixed impressions about this album..usually the opening track is meant 2 blow people away but in my case it took to the song "Dream Girl" (excellent!..love the chorus) to star enjoying the music of Hericane Alice..."Tear The House Down" is a blast,"Badboy Breakout","Need A Lover"(nice),"Shake Shake Shout" and "Crank The Heat Up" are the best tracks at least 4 me..."I Walk Alone" a semi ballad to end the album...anyway decent album if you are into bands such as Danger Danger,Saints & Sinners,"War Babies","Bang Tango" and L.A Guns to mention some then Hericane Alice would be a gift 2 your ears!!!.85/100

Half this CD rocks like a...uh, well, like a hurricane...while the other half makes you wish a typhoon would come along and blow it away so you wouldn't have to bother with it ever again. Yes, folks, what we have here is yet another one of those half-killer/half-filler albums. Even with all the late 80s cliches firmly in place, the band belts out some kick-butt hair-metal anthems, but they also dish out some deadly-dull duds that kind of just sit there like a pile of dog crap polluting an otherwise perfect rose garden. Some CDs are so good, it'd be worth going down on a 400 lb. fat chick who hadn't bathed in three months if that's what it took to get a copy, but for this CD, I wouldn't give that chick so much as a kiss on the cheek.

Another average run-of-the-mill album by a group of "never weres" so to speak. The production is nice, the vocals are top-notch but at times sound dangerously close to Steelheart's Michael Matijevic. What's missing, again, is something stand-out. The lyrics, the melodies all sound similar to each other and the lyrical themes are too similar to other bands - which did this sort of music a lot better. Dream Girl is definitely the best song on here but actually reeks of mediocrity when compared to other bands' ballads. Need A Lover is a decent, fast-paced rocker with great guitars but it still falls short of anything special. The rest are far from terrible but don't seem to stick in my mind. The only good thing about this album is it makes me realise that bands need more than just good production, decent vocals and decent guitars to make good songs: they need a certain spark to make a decent song. 5/10.

Here's 40 more minutes of come-lately party-metal for those who just can't get enuff. It just goes to show the scene was well on its way to consuming itself when a band like this got a major-label deal. The playing is competent and nothing more, and the singer is one of those "I can't sing but by God I've got conviction" guys, like a less outlandish Joe Leste or something. The songs are so formulaic and cliched, even in their own time, that it's no wonder they never escaped the third hour of Headbanger's Ball or the lower reaches of the Z-Rock 50. But, for what they are, the title track, "Wild, Young and Cray-ZAAAAY" and "Shake, Shake, Shout" are good, stupid fun in low doses. If this was the only album of the genre you ever heard though, you'd be forgiven for writing hair-metal off entirely as a bunch of brainless buffoons.
