Is it just me?,or does Patty have one fo the most pwerful female rock voices.I just loved the Scandel releases as well.

OK I've never heard this disc (and I just checked Ebay and for $18.50 with over 2 days of bidding left I don't think I ever will) but I can never pass up an opportunity to mention my favourite band... so here goes. I wonder how many people out there know that 'Call To Heaven' is actually a cover version of 'Les Morts Dansant' which is some of the very best work from the pen of Magnum's Tony Clarkin? "Cannons roared, in the valley they thundered..." Oh, BTW; Magnum have a new album out Aug 30th!!

Really dig this album but Patty Smyth could sing the phone book and I'd love it. Just a great raspy voice that can make the wimpiest pop tune have a "bite" to it. The best songs on here are the title track and "Call To Heaven" which the latter song has some great lyrics and her voice is incredible on it. I was lucky enough to find this in a bargain bin in 93' for a few bucks. Great pop-aor.

Essential AOR at it's best. Patty Smyth picks up where she left off with Scandal. Music is very similar to the "Warrior" album. Her "S/T" sophomore effort not listed on this site is best described as a disappointment, at least when compared to "Never Enough."

Good but not as good as I thought. For me, not too much outstanding hooklines here which aren't too 'american'. "Call to heaven" is a excellent song though. 7,4/10

Sorry-> "..which ARE too american" was what I meant
