A mix of SingSing, Jillson, Survivor, The Cauze, and Little River Band.

are you sure about that tim? 'cause that's one hell of a description you put there.never heard of this guys before...are they really that good?.

Listening to this again today. Can't get enough. Every track is great. Excellent vocals that are a mix of Johnny Wayne (SingSing) and Jimi Jamison (Survivor). Fantastic backing vocals. A mix of lite and uptempo material. Track 6 is a bit different, but very good nonetheless. A few times you can hear The Cauze in both the keyboards and style. The other bands I mentioned are only heard in hints, but don't define the sound. Highly recommended. Essential for AOR fans IMO.

Track 8 sounds like a Michael McDonald led Doobie Bros. tune or one of No Exqze's better tracks. Anyone wanting an mp3 of this..email me at rio1harris@aol.com. Please make sure you put ASK A STRANGER in the subject line so I know what I'm getting. Thanks again to Surrf for introducing me to these guys.

I played guitar for Ask a Stranger. Thanks for your comments and interest in the band. Anyone wanting to contact me for info in what the band members are up to these days can do it at dbuz@usachoice.net Thanks.

most of them are uptempo and midtempo songs,IMHO few decent tracks but nothing more.

From: Jeff Powell Date: February 3, 2005 at 15:43
I was the singer in this band. Thanks for all the nice comments. Some of the buzz over the last year has inspired my band mates and I to do a few shows this year. Its been 12 years since that has happened. We'll keep everyone posted.

That's great! You guys have any unreleased tracks?

From: daveb Date: April 6, 2005 at 13:37
We did have about half a CD worth of songs written before we split up. If things go well this summer maybe we'll record those tracks and release them.

From: oliver Date: May 7, 2005 at 6:24
good aor release and worth buying. but not a classic one. track 6 is a poor filler. 7/10

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 15, 2010 at 20:23
If you don't bother having a vocalist in here that sounds like a mix of Steve Perry & Jimi Jamison then you might enjoy the whole album as this is a very release!!!...friendly AOR/Lite AOR all over...best tracks 4 me were "Eye Of Destruction","Starlight","She Wants Me" & "Institute Song"...89/100

From: gfranciscop Date: July 11, 2021 at 17:35
Standard sounding Pop AOR, with some Hard Rock influences; a bit underproduced in my opinion. How Long is a pretty OK tune. Not my style really, but it's not a bad album by any means. Rating: 6/10. Favorite Track: -.
