EPs and CD-singles from Sammy Hagar are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This is a 'best-of' showcasing Sammy's EARLY stuff, as in pre'standing hampton'. It is very good music, and put Sammy on the map. It's essential for collectors but not for fans that strictly like the 80's sound. A fine record, but not for casual fans of 'i can't drive 55'.

Best ofs' suck. Nuff said.

Not sure the issue is people have with "best of" albums. I like them as they let me get more music from more artists. I just love music and have thousands fo cd's, but if I could not get the odd best-of, my budget would not allow me to get all the albums I do!!! Anyway, in relation to this cd, it is a good compilation of the early Sammy stuff, combined with "Unboxed" and you have a good snapshot of his career up to 1994.

Best-ofs are a good idea for some artiss, like Hagar, who really has no "hidden gems." His singles have always been his best songs, which makes his albums almost all inconsistent, so a best-ofs (I prefer Definitive Red Collection) the way to go.
