Planets on fire, Plain Jane, Never Say Die, Trans Am classics one and all. An immense album of melodic rock songs all topped off with a fantastic vocal performance from the Red Rocker |

This was the first album of Sammy Hagar I heard as I was a spotty 15 year old on it's release. I thought it was pretty good at the time & loved his voice, but some songs could have been stronger. I've returned to it recently & realise it is a pretty consistent album with top tracks being "Child to man", "This planet'son fire", "Never say die" & my personal fave "Feels like love". |

"Trans Am" is a silly song (especially when he spells out the words), but man the rest of this album is great. I saw him back in the day opening for Boston. Really good show, the day I became a true Sammy fan, have been ever since. His career has been (and still is) phenomenal. Should be in the RRHOF on his own merits! |
