Hmmm! How do you describe The Loveless....50's AOR ??? An image of suits and Resevoir Dogs, film noir??? Anyway what the hey.. the songs are killer!! I Almost Miss you is just excellent and Return of the ex-girlfriend is one of the best hard pop rock tunes ever. Not an all out blitz of mayhem..kind of laid back AOR or rock. Nice and very original. Kind of late night listening?? I dunno I don't think I've heard a band quite like them or even anyone to compare them to. Any help anyone????

Just a quick addition...maybe Van Stephenson is a close reference point. That kind of cool AOR.

Just got an email from Jonathan Daniel. Shane's still in NYC but isn't doing anything music related.

This has to be one of the most underrated albums of all-time. How this band never made it is beyond me. It's one of the best feel-good albums, is brilliantly written and catchy as hell. The first 3 tracks particularly are awesome, and "Return of the Ex-Girlfriend" is just hilarious. This will appeal to fans of pop/rock, nu-breed, as well as early Poison/Warrant. It rocks, is catchy & melodic, and with fabulous songwriting. Find it - if you can. 9/10.

Decent album with a soft songs, the best thing about this disc is the beginning and end..

From: JONBONPIGO Date: April 29, 2014 at 23:05
I was gonna say "The Return of the Ex-Girlfriend" reminded me of the vocals and pace/beat of "Rattlesnake Kisses" by Electric Angels..Low and Behold...same singer...It reminds me of Neil Diamond, if he were to sing Hair Metal...and to me that's a Good Thing...I'll have to check out the rest of the album...Rock On!!! \m/-_-\m/

Everything about this CD reeks of quality -- the cover artwork, the ultra-cool look of the band, the witty lyrics and awesome melodies, and also the slick, polished, and sophisticated power pop sound that provides the perfect vehicle for the songwriting brilliance and vocals. An absolutely essential AOR CD for your collection. I love it!!!
