If you notice that a particular Bellicose CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Been awhile since I've listened to this. All I remember is that it rocks! One of the best indies I've heard.

From: MButt Date: April 2, 2004 at 15:28
I agree Tim, one of the best indies out there!! super tough to find, but worth all the effort!!!!!

From: TheRipper Date: April 6, 2004 at 1:36
One of the best ever, and I'm not just talking indies... These guys put to shame just about every major HR/Metal act of the era. Everybody from the vocalist to the drummer is phenomenal, Guitars are Killer with no fillers as far as songs go. They have a sound that I believe everybody is looking for (I know I look for bands like this); Hard, Powerful, Clean, and just AWESOME and AMAZING! Truly worth the search, and one of my favorite CD's of all time. No weakness here, production is even great!

From: David Date: April 6, 2004 at 2:04
Ripper, is this as good as that Charlet cd??

From: TheRipper Date: April 6, 2004 at 4:28
Haha, I am known to get pumped about CD's when I'm really excited about them, and have had these for a long time and think they're neck and neck. I was and still am equally as impressed w/ each of these, even though different genres. I compared Chlet to Rock Candy which is fair and at times sound like other bands: say Side Kicks, Tanzen. While Bellicose compares to Leatherwolf or a more 'Hair' version of Iron Maiden (easily better though I think), and at times even a tad TLC-ish as well.

From: TIM Date: April 6, 2004 at 10:29
Sorry man, but this kicks Leatherwolf's ass. I'm not a major Leatherwolf fan, but love this one. I can see the TLC comparison.

From: MButt Date: April 6, 2004 at 11:19
I agree with Ripper's comparison of Bellicose to a more 'hair' version of Iron Maiden, I think that hits the nail on the head. the leatherwolf comparison is on the mark as well, really a combination of leather wolf and iron maiden. Excellent metal!! not sure if I agree with Tim on this kicking leatherwolf's ass, I think they are both equally great! we all seem to agree that this cd rocks!!!

From: TIM Date: April 6, 2004 at 11:40
You think every cd is great man. LOL This is way better than Leatherwolf.

From: MButt Date: April 6, 2004 at 12:34
yeah, I know, I like most anything. LOL! I love this and Leatherwolf!! Most folks love both of these cd's. good stuff!!

From: Paulo_Fernandes Date: April 6, 2004 at 12:54
Altough this is a good cd, i dont think its anywhere near as good as Leatherwolf - my opinion

From: TIM Date: April 6, 2004 at 13:01
It's not near as good- it's way better. LOL

From: Paulo_Fernandes Date: April 6, 2004 at 13:08
Thats crazy Timbo, but ok, its your opinion ;-)

From: CHRIS Date: September 5, 2004 at 13:38
Where the heck are you all getting the Maiden comparisons from? This is decent Melodic stuff, but Maiden??!! C'mon now...

From: gdaze Date: December 27, 2005 at 1:25
Err, why are people raving over what is a very ordinary rock band? If these guys were so good, why weren't they on a major label? I know Leatherwolf were.. DOH. All I can say to TheRipper, you must be listening to another album sunshine.. jeez.

From: Geoff Date: March 8, 2006 at 23:56
Apologies to the guys above, but I completely agree with gdaze on this one. This is in-one-ear-out-the-other sort of metal/hard rock, IMO. Leatherwolf are a million times better. Make that 2 million, IMO. I love many Leatherwolf songs, I couldn't find more than 1 or 2 off this that I thought were okay. I forget the names, but there were a few solid hard rockers, but overall a miss for me and not recommended.

From: ctgblue Date: November 3, 2008 at 11:04
I hung out with these guys at the time of this CD, I believe they used my accoustic on this as they 'borrowed it' for a gig and had it two weeks, but Russ restrung and polished it for me. Absolutely had all the talent necessary to make it. But just not the right connections at the right time. Great dual guitar work, Mike and Russ got better with each show, Chopper had the whole 'helicopter drum' sound down. Staley was solid on the bass and Joey had the voice and the attitude. Thanks for all the show comps guys, just ran across the CD yesterday and put it into my itunes.

Solid Melodic Metal, yeah it is...with a good vocalist in the person of Joe Darangelo..."Torn From The Mold" is a highlight,"The Blinding" & "Fight The Fire" are excellent ones,"If Only" strong and solid & the instrumental "Daniel Lee" ends the album decently..a good option 4 sure...84/100

From: andi Date: June 30, 2011 at 14:14
