If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Lydian Sea CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Lydian Sea are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I know of the Lydian Mode..Anyone Heard this one??

From: seaofmusic Date: January 31, 2005 at 16:34
Yes, actually I have. One heavily underated band from Chicago. Incredible guitarist influenced heavily by George Lynch, John Sykes, Neil Schon and Paul Gilbert. Has all the right elements. Harmony vocals are all over the place and the right time. Almost signed to INSIDE OUT AMERICA about 4 years ago. There is only one track with a real drummer. Can you tell? Anyone know how to get this ? I tried going to their site and tried the postings page here at HH already.

Think the only possibility is to order it from CD Inzane (a record shop). A stupid move from a band cause a lot of people search their records, also over here in Europe. And a second one is coming up !

Thanks for the information, Dave ! I do appreciate it ! Noticed, Wotty, that I didn't comment on this one, cause I don't own it ! I can't say if it's good or bad or average. It's as simple as that ! So if I give any comment, I do OWN it, clear now ? I'm trying to get my hands on it ASAP ! Best, guys !

Thanks for the feedback so far! I am the cowriter bass/keyboard player on the first CD. I also did some lead vocal spots and wrote many lyrics. You can find this at Impulse.com or EVEN BETTER better cdinzane.com.There is a new bass player.I don't play in the band due to family commitment but I am still heavly involved. I still help write and contribute to many of the lyrics and overall production. Have you tried to email? info@lydiansea.com. Would be happy to get you a CD! All the best ANDREW

I guess I'll be the first to leave actual coments on this one, so here we go. Fans of progressive rock and Dream Theater rejoice! The swell has come and now is the time for Lydian Sea. From the open riff of "Apparent Audio" you will be sucked in and never let go. Then there is the epic "Infinite Journey" clocking in at a over 9 minutes. A progressive rock fans wet dream. Next up is the stunning "Regeneration" with a guitar riff to die for and vocal trade offs that flow like the seas themselves.

Next we have "Undivded". An amazing song that slows the pace with a killer mixture of piano, guitar, and stellar harmony vocals. The disc kick back into overdrive for the next three songs with some of the most impressive playing I have heard in years. Ron Gonzalez is one of the best guitarist I have ever heard in my life, period!!! The disc close as strongly as it started with another guitar and riff driven tune called "Take A Breath". If you like any of the progressive acts currently out there,

then do yourself a favor and dive headfirst into the sea and let it swallow you whole. You won't be sorry. Next try out there amazing follow up, "Architect Of Humanity". Just as strong as this, with a Fates Warning vibe. Both very good stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
