How can this album have such a low rating (2.52)???? I thought it rocked and loved the way the covers were done. It blows my mind that people didn't like this. It is a 8 to me |
From: jhonny j | Date: October 15, 2001 at 23:25 |
yeah right, i agree to james.it's completely annoying those people responsible gining a low rate to this album. you sucking critics( specially who sucked bon jovi covered song).for your information bon jovi's RICHIE SAMBORA is one of the major giutar player that eric clapton never hesitate to accept SAMBORA'S invitation to played lead guitar on his STRANGER IN THIS TOWN'S "mr. bluesman" track. because clapton himself appreciate SAMBORA'S guitar playing as one of his own blues guitar buddies. thi |

I would like to hear that song Cinderella does on this album (Move Over). I wonder if it is any good? I would have to think so. |
From: Desslar | Date: June 21, 2002 at 16:14 |
Here's another one that has an inexplicably low rating. So there are no originals, the covers are mostly quite good. I'd say the highlight is the jam sessions at the end, but the Gorky Park and Scorpions songs are also great. As for Cinderella's Move Over, it's a good version but I just don't like the song itself. Why didn't they cover Piece of my Heart? |

it's a fun album and i think motley crue's cover was the very best of the bunch. gorky park is second. |
From: Zakk | Date: January 30, 2004 at 14:31 |
this album has Zakk Wylde on it. He may not be the "best" guitarist ever, but he kicks everyones ass on this CD. He is the crazyest guitar player on and off stage you will EVER see. he makes this album. Sambora is good but he cant handle WYLDE'ness. Ozzy's version of purple haze just rocks...it doesnt have that cheesy 80's style to it. this album gets a 9 from me. it would be a 10 if zakk was on it more. |

Decent but not really outstanding IMHO...the best covers for me are the ones done by Gorky Park,Ozzy Osbourne,Motley Crue & Bon Jovi. The live medley is just ok...80/100 |

Someone above said this CD was "made for a good cause." Ha ha! It was made to full Doc McGhee's probation requirements of community service, after he was implicated in a massive marijuana bust. You know, one that would land you or me in federal prison for years. But Doc sold the judge on the idea of him using his showbiz credentials to prommote an antidrug message. Doc went one better, and managed to combine the two Reagan-era ideals of just saying no and bringing democracy to the USSR via the liberating powers of rock 'n' roll. This CD is the souvenir of the Mocow Music and Peace Festival. |
