Great guitar work and vocals on this one. Why isn't the follow up cd listed on this site? It's called Monsters Under The Bed. It's another great cd. Gettum all!!!

This album didn't fare well commercially because glam and hair metal had begun to erode the AOR stronghold. Still, it's got some excellent hard rock moments. Maybe a tad bit calculated in its approach, but still a worthy addition to any self-respecting AOR fan's collector.

Yeah....what koogles said. I liked this cd and the follow up cd Monsters Under The Ded as T-BONE mentioned. Big Prize will always be their best though

On this one duo to the producer's touch same of Van Halen's greatests,Ted Templeman we can see the guitar in first place!Honeymoon is one of this bands that change their sounding depending on the producer, but never looses it's essence!!You can always recognize them even if they became a rap outfit!Great song and lyric writting! This one is less aor and more hard rock! But have exiting tunes ,that's for shure!Last song is on Lethal Weapon's soundtrack!95 out of 10!

In ths one you can also notice their rocki'n,coutry influences that get very well toghether whith up-tempo type of songs!Lyrics about everyday people's lifes, also this romantic feel to songs,in wich we can cleary see some pretty mature tightoghether songwritting! It really seems that they really care about every note that is being put on the songs!!Kind of band that never steps on the same ground,is in constant evolution.None of their albums sounds the same as the previous one!!!

Good call on the lyrics Andre. 'Tears On The Page', 'Lookin' Out For #1'....all high quality AOR from one of the best. 'Cold Look' has one of Johnny's best vocals...

Doesn't have the energy or depth as the first two. Monsters Under the Bed was better. Best tracks are "Love Changes Everything", "It's Over Now", And "Lethal Weapon".

Good AOR that has its moments. Largely overlooked when it was released in 1988, this should've sold millions considering what was selling at the time. "Cold Look", "Other Side Of Midnight" and "It's Over Now" are the highlights. Worthy addition to any AOR collection.

Good consistent melodic rock / AOR. Nothing really bad to say about it, just a good collection of songs.

After the mighty 'The Big Prize', it was always going to be a big big ask for them to follow that up. This is a very strong release, but doesn't match the heady heights of it's predecessor (how could it really). Still, it has some mighty fine moments contained in it's grooves,'Love Changes Everything' being my particular highlight. It also contains a great version of 'Cold Look' first seen on the mighty i-Ten 'Taking A Cold Look' album.

When this came out I had to go down from Manchester to the ICL training facility in Windsor for a week and this was the only CD I took with me. With radio being what it was I had this on continuous play for the trip down and 5 days later the trip back. It has etched itself into my conciousness and after over 15 years it still conjures up images of end to end traffic and a big iron bar flying up from the motorway and missing the front of my car by about 2 feet...phew! Its still a good album tho!

Gran disco, contiene temazos como Other side of midnight,Love changes everything,Tears on the page (mi favorita),cold look que es un cover de I-TEN, buenos solos de guitarra y teclados que alucinan,it´s over now un medio tiempo hermoso, AOR bien elaborado; canciones rockeras, baladas, medio tiempos; todo lo que un buen album de aor necesita para ser bueno; 8.5/10.

Above poster, Jez, pretty much nailed it here. A very good album with some highlights but still doesn't reach the heights of "The Big Prize". Worth the money, no doubt. "Love Changes Everything" and "Tears On The Page" are my favourites on this disc.

The strongest album from this canadian rockers. The track leathel Weapon from the motion picture didn´t help to reach the status of a hard rock supergroup they deserve.

this release was atest for honeymoon suite.they had released 2 great albums, they had big record label contract, they had great producer ted templeman to guide them to total success through the hard rock explosion those years.the result was good but....but not as good as expected.there was something missing from this band.anyway this is good melodic hard rock with some good songs like "long way back","cold look" and "it s over now".acceptable

I just actually got in to Honeymoon Suite; first heard them on the movie soundtrack for "The Wraith" with "Those Were The Days". Pretty good song and memorable guitar solo. This album is a classy 1988 glam rock effort from a good band. Catchy, polished songs with maturity. "Love Changes Everything" what a top class, well executed, melodic song. That is worth the price of the album alone. First time I heard that song on youtube I knew I had to buy this and I've been giving my ears a pleasure cruise to that song a lot lately lol; "Tears On The page" is also an absolute must listen to for me. Another top class effort. The others are pretty solid with tracks 2 & 7 also standing out for me. Definitely worth a chance to be in your hard rock collection. 82/100

A halfhearted effort that must have had Ted Templeman asleep at the wheel, because this one is keyboard-laden and soulless, except for a few tracks: Looking out for #1, Other Side of Midnight, Love Changes Everything, and the best one--Tears on the Page. Only worth owning for those tracks; as an album it's not up to snuff for HMS.

great band ,great album, but nothing more.the main problem is the singer.johnnie dee is a very limited and very average singer.with a top class singer like jeff scott soto ,steve lee (RIP)or michael bormann this band could play in champion s league.but here they stay in "ligue 2" (france).

As some stated above, this one is not as good as their previous two(i'd say this one is not superior than "The Big Prize" but somehow can be compared in the same line as their self titled debut)...anyway it has one of the band's most representative tracks in their career "Racing After Midnight" but also some other goodies such as "Lookin' Out For Number One","Cold Look","Lethal Weapon"(nice),"Love Changes Everything" & "Long Way Back"(nice AOR song indeed)...still recommeded too...85/100

This release is a big improvement over the very overrated "Big Prize" album. Like "Prize", this album starts off strong with a hard party rocker, this time it's "Lookin' Out for Number One". After that, the next couple of songs are alright, but nothing spectacular. The band makes up for the album's slow start by stringing together 5 FANTASTIC rock tracks in the second half. Tracks 1 and 5 along with all 5 tracks of the second half are the highlights on here. Pretty good album overall. Not as good as the debut, but a huge improvement over "The Big Prize". I'll give it a 86/100.

Very much in the slipstream of their previous album, but a little less special and experimental, more mainstream. The riff in Love fever is awesome, and Long way back, Other side of midnight and Fast company are other highlights for me.
