If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Honeymoon Suite CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Honeymoon Suite are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

I don't own this but by the track listing it looks very good. my only question is how does the band sound live on this disc? what is the quality?

Better late than never (over 2 years). The guys were on great form, although a bit jet lagged from the trip over. They still put on on one of the best shows of the day (along with JSS & Ten) and proved to everyone that they still have the magic. This captures the complete set from the day & is a great mixture of old & new with a couple from the excellent then released 'Lemon Tongue' release, which seemlessly fit in alongside the classix. The accompanying DVD is great too (because i'm on it!!!!)

As for "HMS Live" DVD, the quality is awful! Moreover, it seems that Johnnie lost his voice! It doesnít look like singing! He just screams! During the concert he walks from one part of stage to another one, so that looks very silly and unprofessional! I think they should better release on DVD any of their live from 80ís. That would be great!

IMO the band nowadays has like some kind of lack of enthusiasm on stage and you can notice that in the way the songs are performed but if you compare this live release to another one named "Live 13" this one is better in that enthusiasm aspect...vocally talking Mr Dee still has some guts but nothing like in the past and that's obviously because of his age, kinda normal to happen this though, and the rest of the guys are as instrumentalists, pretty in shape...good to listen to the classics of the band plus some extra songs...87/100

Sub-par, lackluster performance by an under-appreciated band sleepwalking through a set of old "hits" and more recent songs. Johnnie in particular seems quite uninspired; with his muddled lyrical delivery and apathetic banter you get the impression he'd rather not be there at all, irritated by the sound mix and lifeless audience, even stepping on his keyboardist's spotlight solo ("Can I sing now, brother?"). Leading into "Bad Attitude" Derry (an otherwise underrated guitarist) spits out a stupid, tap-frenzied solo that has no connection to anything musical, just an exhibition of "Hey, look what I can do on the fretboard!" -- disappointing, since I've quite enjoyed his playing in the past. Closing with a by-the-numbers version of their signature "New Girl Now" is all too predictable. If there's a highlight, it's "All Along You Knew" (but "Wave Babies" is still a gawd-awful song). If this disc is representative of their live performances, I'll stick with the studio output. 60 / 100
