| Great example of scandinavian melodic hard rock of mid 80's! This is Goran Edman's 1st important project. Musically is quite similar to 220 Volt, Spellbound and early Europe, only the production is not to the top. Goran's cristal voice is young but a real pleasure for the listener. A MUST HAVE IN MY OPINION!!!

| A classic in my book. If you like heavy metal and hardrock combined this is the one to get. Perhaps a cross between MSG and Judas Priest? Well, I don´t know. But I know that this album is great! Get it if you can. Lay down your arms, Turn me loose, Don´t go and Diamond mistress are totally great songs. Buy.

| I saw Madison live, I think -85 , here in Sweden. They had both the skill and talent. I dont think its similar to MSG or Priest. I like both this bands so I m sorry to say that Madison is (was) a little better; they had the potentiel to be a huge metalband and this was their best album. CHEERS !!!!!

| Wow, you start to wonder if you might actually really have too many CDs when you come across a CD you're not sure if you own or not. Well, I just checked and I have this CDR! Guess I'll have to listen again but if I can't recall it I certainly neglected it with good reason. I vaguely recall a collection of fast paced rockers with little or no positive affect on my ears and this CD clearly did not have any songs that stood out for me. I think this is one for metal fans.

| Track one kicks totally ass. "Changes" is a nice ballad. The rest of the songs I don't find anything extraordinairy on. But if you get the rerelease with the second album for a moderate price --Why not?? 7/10

| This is one of my favorite album of all time. Great guitar work and great tracks. its easy to recommend this one

| Good Metal Hard Melodic album, ala 220 Volt Dokken o Europe de esa epoca, buenos cortes con garra y feeling sin duda gustara a los amantes de este estilo asi que chavales no lo dejen pasar.

| This is a pretty rare and very good CD. It's full of interesting riffs, prototypical technical guitarwork (that stuff never gets old), and of course, Goran Edman's vocals (of Yngwie Malmsteen fame). I like Kulvertmannen's comment of "MSG meets Judas Priest." I'd say that's a pretty good assessment of Madison's sound. Good mix of heavy songs and a few ballads thrown in. Pick this one up if you see it around!

| I'm still looking for this one on original cd..I only have a vinyl copy so far.. Do you know where to find it on original japan cd? Thanks! I little bit hevier than their second release but still very good scandi MHR!

| A recent pickup this album is good but the production is weak, it sounds as though it was recorded in the 70's . This is definetly the better of their two releases. I like tracks 2 and 3 best. Great guitar work and about half of the tracks and Mr. Edman's vocals are excellent as usual. Not a must have but yet a good release for it's time. 7.5/10

| I have the re-released pack with both CDs. Refering more to this one, even though the other is quite equally, I would say it's something between GLORY, MALMSTEEN & early EUROPE. For FATE lovers also. The production is bad, "dark" & feels very dated. So if you love Hardrock in general or those mentioned bands then take it, otherwise leave it. I just like "Lay down your arms" & "Chances" of both ones.

| Mmmnnn...I did remember a weak cd but it's not so fortunately!IMO this is a very good follow up to Europe's debut and I am also suprised for G.Edman's voice here,this is decent for a time!!!I like this kind of melodick metal of 80's,so I can give to it 9/10!

| One of the best hard rock albums of all time, no fillers - Only killers! "Lay Down Your Arms", "Sneaker", "Don't Look Around", "Changes" & "Squeeler" are the best tracks, but every track is very good & has something special! 95/100

| Göran Edman is a phenomenal singer, but the songs here, the production, are very average. This is a mix of melodic metal and Hard Rock that's not much my taste. For me, John Norum - Total Control is the best thing Edman ever did.

| very good debut for MADISON in the mid 80 s that will satisfy heavy metal fans who like a hard edge!the guitar work is truly excellent and Goran s vocals strong and alive as expected!many good songs here like "dont go","squaler" and "diamond mistress" !a classic of the Swedish metal scene
