i really enjoyed this release, very retro of dio and deep purple...

From: steelreign Date: March 17, 2004 at 13:30
Wow, a great melodic retro sounding release of Rainbow, Dio-era Sabbath and straight up hard rock and metal! The vocals are worth the price alone, as this guy sounds very much like RJ Dio! The riffs are crushing and so melodic. Essential!

En esta nueva banda está el hijo secreto de Ronni James Dio........

They should've called this the lost Rainbow album. Nils would have trouble not sounding more like Dio... all that said, this kicks ass! I always loved Rainbow, and this is a nice addition to my collection. The production's a bit more updated as well, nice full sound, which is at least partially due to them having two guitars as opposed to Rainbow's one (albeit a really good one!). Is this really CCM though? Not sure if that classification is correct (Could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time).

This is one of the best debut metal albums I have heard for a very long time. 'Cloudbreaker' is a thunderous, fist-pounding mass which takes me straight back to the 80s. The title track is slower, more brooding and is more in the spirit of Black Sabbath's 'Heaven And Hell'. 'Rainbow In Your Mind' is has a lighter approach (but not much) thanks to the keyboards being a little more prominent. It's very much in the Deep Purple meets early Rainbow mold. This is awesome!!

Indeed, very Dio and Rainbow inspired ! Good CD all the way !

From: Metal Dan Date: May 14, 2004 at 9:42
For me together with DragonForce´s "Valley of the Damned" the album of the year 2003. Clearly inspired by Dio and the classic hardrock, it also has a more modern guitar sound, which could appeal to power metal fans as well. Let´s not forget the excellent, Dio-like vocals of Nils J. By the way, the band has sad in an interview, that they are neither christian, nor satanic band. The crucified priests on the cover should represent the child abusing ones, which are so punished for their crimes.

From: Rodrigo Date: May 23, 2004 at 2:37
oh man, this album rocks!!!!! nills sounds really great!! have christian inspired lyrycs , but im not sure if they are CCM!!!

From: Fishman Date: July 27, 2004 at 17:28
Holy shite!!! When I heard the first tune, I thought it was the new Dio cd...man, this guy sounds identical to RJD. Not a bad thing...very cool album.

From: AOR_Crazy Date: September 12, 2004 at 18:14
Yes, this is class metal, indeed much like dio/black sabbath era from dehumenizer. Must say i like it, it would be a nice to have much more music in this non-melodic era. 8/10

From: Dean Date: September 13, 2004 at 7:27
Well you guys got my interest piqued- i just ordered this today. Any comparisions to Dehumanizer make it a must.

From: Wotty Date: September 13, 2004 at 7:30
How are you doing Dean???

From: The Revenger Date: September 13, 2004 at 8:10
THIS IS INDEED A VERY GOOD HEAVY RELEASE, DEAN ! THINK YOU'LL LIKE IT A LOT !

From: Silkk Vicc Date: November 10, 2004 at 9:40
.....mmm, everything sounds like DIO so its not original, but tight band & great songs......don't bother if you don't like DIO though \m/!

From: Rockhead Date: November 13, 2004 at 14:58
I am loving this CD!! It rocks-Far superior to Dio's new one!!

From: NORTUM Date: December 4, 2004 at 17:13
9/10 Saludos.

From: Byrdman69 Date: January 16, 2005 at 9:37
While I do agree that this i definetly Dio sounding, there are times when the singers voice gets away from him, and at times he sounds like he may actually be "trying" to hard to actually sound like RJD. I enjoy the whole disc, and all except for some of the vocals sounding forced to me.....still a good release! 7/10

From: GlenRavine Date: January 20, 2005 at 11:39
Very good release - if your into the classic rock style of Rainbow, DIO, Elf.....check this out - reminds me of the 70's rock era sound.

From: figgy Date: October 22, 2005 at 6:31
WOW ! Talk about a Ronnie James Dio comparison.Awesome melodic metal in a very similar form of Dio.Good guitar work, strong lead and backing vocals with great harmonies. This is what i call christian metal!Words don't reflect a "preacher' to sort of speak, just getting a solid message across through their music.Well done !We rock !!!!!!!

From: Darksneider Date: June 4, 2009 at 22:35
what voice do you hear? the voice is more black sabbath tony martin era than dio

From: Dx7 Date: October 30, 2021 at 7:51
When he says "Rock 'n' roll was made for children For children in the heat of the night" in "Man on the Rock" it makes you want to go out in Mob Rules' Sabbath jumpsuits and/or furs and parade in front of those losers who have fashionable aperitifs every night.
