Illusion's sound is radio friendly, but heavy handed as well, perhaps a precursor to a band like Tesla, melodic but with some rough edges around the fringes. Willard's voice is definitely different, fitting somewhere betwen Ron Keel (Keel), Tom Holland (The B'zz, Holland) and Stephen Pearcy (Ratt).

They were the best band in Atlanta for a long time. Whenever they played, it was standing room only. I'm sorry I loaned my cassettes long ago but at least I have the albums and the memories. Thanks guys, it was fun.

on my opinion, their best album is the 1st one, more catchy! with the defunt Bobby Chouinard on drums .... a quite decent album (6,5/10)

Los temas CALL IN THE LAW y CALL ME UP valen el disco entero ( barato o CDR, como en mi caso ). El resto es hard rock americano típico de la época, bien producido y tocado.

I saw Illusion several times in a bar in Wilmington N.C. called the Mad Monk and these guys rocked the place!! B.B. Borden played drums for them for a while either before or after his stint with Molly Hatchet. The guitar player used to play with Mothers Finest and was a short blonde headed guy that could turn it on. I rocked to them all through college at East Carolina University and turned several people on to the band. Great album as well as the first one. I can make copies onto a CD for anyon

Basic Hard Rock on Illusion's second album. Stand out tracks are Call In The Law and Heartbeat(The call). The other songs are average and some fillers. This does not compare to their killer 1st S/T release which is a lot catchier with killer guitars and memorable songs. Rated 7/10

Good Hard Rock/Melodic album, muy buen disco si señor claro el primero tiene algun punto mas, cortes Call Me Up, Call In The Law, Heartbeat (The Call), Heart Attack, Get To You... si te gusta el Hard Rock con sus toques melodicos este te gustara. claro si es del 86 dificil que pierdas mejor dicho es casi imposible, en lo que a Hard Melodico u AOR se refiere. !!!ah esos años de Gloria epoca de Sueños y Magia.

Good band, with excellent songwriters! Este album no lo he escuchado, pero el primero es excelente con muchas canciones compuestas por el gran maestro Gary Moore, alguna participación de Steve Marriot, excelente la canción "Weights a Ton". Una rareza americana muy disfrutable.
