Do you think Spinal Tap is funny? Find Bad News, it's funnier. Also find their video 'Bad News Tour', it is a riot. These guys were MTV's 'The Young Ones' and the comic genius of these guys is undeniable. A tasty slab of truly horrific metal, complete with bickering band members stuck in adolescence. They use every cliche' they can, and plagarize their idols insisting it's their original material. Find this disc and the video, you will laff your azz off!!

THIS IS SHITE. Unlike Spinal Tap it has no sublety and is a by product of the 80's. Christ the joke even got them on the Monsters Of Rock Bill at Donnington. A complete piss take that frankly takes the piss

From: Metal Pete Date: March 12, 2004 at 15:53
I think it's funnier than Spinal Tap! They are complete idiots, taking themselves very seriously but it's obvious they are posers with no talent...that is the whole point. It's like a Saturday Night Live skit! The video is extremely funny, even more so than the cd. AT the end of the video the documentary filmographers interview the likes of Joe Elliot, Ozzy, Lemmy of Motorhead and they are all saying that Bad News sux. The whole band ends up in the hospital from being attacked by angry fans!!

What else would you expect from half the cast of 'The Young Ones?'

From: Dean Date: March 14, 2004 at 11:01
This cd rules in the 'so bad it's good' category. The version of Bohemian Rhapsody still cracks me up everytime i hear it. 'Cashing in on Christmas' is pretty funny too. What can i say? I thought 'the young ones' kicked ass too. For anybody looking for anything even close to talent here, you'd best not even bother. Spinal Tap for the mentally impaired.

From: Metal Pete Date: March 16, 2004 at 10:30
Yes, they are extremely stupid. If you liked SCTV...you'll probably like this! FIND THE VIDEO, it's hysterical.

From: Dean Date: March 23, 2004 at 10:58
I'm having a hard enough time just trying to find this on cd at an affordable price, much less the video. It's good but there is no way in hell I'd pay $50.00 for this. Guess I'll have to find someone to trade it to me-eh?

From: TIM Date: March 23, 2004 at 11:22
I have the video.

From: Metal Pete Date: March 23, 2004 at 14:36
Do a search on 'Bad News Tour' (video) and you should find it. I thought Rhino or Amazon Europe had it for a very reasonable price, I think I used google to search? You might find it on ebay, but more likely you can get it fairly cheap at an online store rock on

From: Metal Pete Date: March 23, 2004 at 14:38
Yep, Amazon.com has it for 13 bucks! :-O Get it!!!

Just to let you all know this has been re-released today in the UK for budget price! Excellent!

From: JarWi Date: August 23, 2004 at 16:05
Hey Metal Pete, thanx for adding these 4 comedians to the HH band list. You did a good job, man What can I say folks, just check out their "no music songs" and you'll be pissing in your pants Damn, they manage very well to pretend to be stupid and to parody real rockstars' life... Just 1 remark: Queen fans shouldn't try to lay their hands on this record if they don't want to get a heart attack. The reason is song No 14 Enjoy!

I'm a huge Spinal Tap fan and I think these guys are hilarious as well. Don't get this album for the music however. It's all comedy. Caught me by surprise. 8.5/10

From: Mace Date: April 23, 2013 at 2:22
He he I just got this cd cheap! Very funny and not meant to be taken seriously for the music. File with Steel Panther and Spinal Tap and put some broccoli down ya pants...

From: Auslander Date: June 4, 2021 at 0:58
Unlike Spinal Tap or Steel Panther, the music on this release is very much taking a back-seat to the comedy element. Really the comedy is kinda low brow, in that mockumentary style of Sounal Tap but with more gross-out type humour. There aren't really any songs that can standout, except maybe Warriors of Genghis Khan with its absurd sound effects of horses galloping and machine gun fire and amusing lyrics "Burning, looting, raping and a shootin" featuring a terrible Mongolian guitar solo. Worth hearing once for a chuckle, but doubt it has much replayability... a bit like Steel Panther in that regard. Rated C-.
