I really wanted this to rival Blind Date, and be the 2nd best 80's style hard rock disc in years. However, in reality it does not even rival the debut. The sound is truly awesome and could have been recorded exactly as it is in 1988. So don't get me wrong, I like the disc and it's a good 100% 80's hard rock disc, but there just aren't any killer songs. It's a pure mix of Motley Crue meets Def Leppard (I'm very serious), but unfortunately there's not those couple of killer tunes this disc needs : |

That said, 'Escape' almost gets there and is the highlight for me - a very good song, and 'Love me now' is cool too, but when you have the big Def Leppard-style vocals you expect huge choruses. Well, not so here. But if you ever wanted to hear what is essentially a 'glam' CD (with Vince Neil-esque vocals) mixed with Def Leppard influences, check it out. This really ain't bad, I just expected a lot more from it. (Sorry for the 2 comments, but honestly... who else is going to buy this? ) |

I bought it Geoff, ha ha ha. I think this is a great follow up to their debut release. This album rocks from start to finish. I have both of their albums and I like them a lot. |

Nothing new here, just no-frills, formula-driven hair-metal that delivers pretty much what fans of the genre expect. What lifts this CD a little above the average is a Vince Neil-sounding singer and Def Leppard-style backing vocals. Yep, the "Motley Crue meets Def Leppard" comparisons are spot on. Still, for an album titled "Lift You Up," one can't help but feel a little let down by just how safe the band plays it. |

I think the production of this cd was a little above the previous cd, although after alot of spins, some of the tunes begin to sound alike. Definatly a decent cd to get your hands on, but not a "must have" |

First time i seriously have to disagree with Geoff. I am totally with ninjapeter on ths one. This does rock from start to finish. With the killer choruss from the opening song The Touch till the rocker Goodbye. I agree its no Blind Date or Gypsy Rose ( the surprise rock hit from Sweden for me this year) but its just a very very pleasant melodic rock cd. Yep more plz Trixie ! |

i have had this for about 1 week and it gets better with each listen! it sounds like vince neil is now singing for def leppard lol! and it works beleive it or not.what makes it like dL is those big back ground vocals. and the production is spot on as well. if you like late 80's hair metal then get the brush and mascarra out because this is for you! 8.5/10 |

Excellent 2nd release from Trixie. Pure 80's Melodic Hard Rock like early Def Leppard and Motley Crue. This cd is stronger than the 1st cd with some catchy songs. It rocks from beginning to end IMO. My fave songs are The Touch, Love Me Now, Crazy, Tuff Girl,Got To Feel It and Goodbye. Check them out. Rated 9/10. |

Bought this one for Lift You Up, kinda dissapointed by the rest of the cd. Just a little lite for my tastes. |

The same feeling with this album too and even less enthusiastic, "Tuff Girl" "Not That Easy" and "Escape" are good though but if i want to rock, i prefer other albums by far. 7.5/10 |

These guys are comparable to bands like Motley Crue, Bon Jovi & Def Leppard, but are much more unpolished. Vocalist Ronnie Borchert has a Vince Neil vibe going, while the backing vocals are similar to "Hysteria"- era Def Leppard. The music also has a Leppard vibe going with some sprinkles of Bon Jovi. You could likely make one solid release from all 3 of their CDs, & while they do need some catchier songs, this is one of those bands that takes more than one listen to appreciate more. They definitly had a pretty cool look for a modern Hair Metal act which you don't see that often nowadays. "Got To Feel it" is the highlight on this release for me, & if there were more songs in that vein, we could've been talking about a major surprise back in 2005. |
