2025 Heavy Harmonies Donation Drive Update
Nov. 24, 2025: Almost half way through the annual donation drive and we're
at almost 50% of the goal of covering site expenses for 2026. Most regulars
have already donated, so now it's up to everyone else. Costs
are up this year, no thanks to an unexpected forum move, which incurred additional expenses.
The drive will run through the end of the year, details over on the Heavy Harmonies Forum.
Every donation helps, no matter how small. If you can't afford $20 for the
year, give $10. If you can't afford $10, give $5. It's just once a year and
keeps the lights on.

| For their second and final production with AOR Heaven, the Swedish melrockers refuse to adjust their musical style one jot, with the only tangible difference between this and their other albums being its length - ten tracks and a 42-minute runtime making it one of their shortest releases. This is a breezy party album with no slow songs and only a brief dip into hard rock territory, so fans of the band will be happy enough. "My Mistake to Make" and "Out of Love" are mid-tempo rockers with a good chorus. "Take It on the Run" is a decent cover and the obvious choice for a single. "In Case of Landing on Water" is the closest we get to a ballad and is full of 80s nostalgia, while "Rock Star Crazy" makes for a zesty outro with a good beat. Absolutely nothing new but relatively little filler. I don't see "Paintings" replacing anyone's favorite LAD album but it's worth spending money on.
