The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular The Black Crowes CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from The Black Crowes are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Great in-your-face southern/blues/rock, whatever you wanna call it, I think this one kicks butt. Really sounds like their groove was starting to slip on Three Snakes, but this one is right in the pocket. Go Faster, Stop Kickin' My Heart Around, and Go Tell The Congregation are my personal favs on this disc.

Just an awesome cd that had it been released after "The Great Southern.." would have gone triple platinum. Shame this disc didn't get more attention. Just great kick out the jams rock-n-roll and these guys seemed like they stopped trying so hard for this disc and just decided to rock-n-roll. Still kicks butt 6 years later and worth checking out if you lost interest after the debut. "Kickin My Heart Around" still gets the air guitar out for me whenever I listen to it.

I need to get this one, cuz I love the first two and the stuff I heard from this was very similar and good. I saw them perform live in Orlando after this album was released, cool show! Sometimes, only the Crowes will suit the mood.

Their best since the debut.

Coincido con que es lo mejor desde "Shake Your Money Maker", el tema By Your Side es perfecto! Como siempre en los discos de los Crowes mezcla de temas excelentes con otros del montón.

A step back? I'm not sure. They tried to update songs from the 97 Nashville Sessions like "If It Ever Stops Raining" which became "By Your Side" and new version of "Only A Fool". The use of Kevin Shirely as producer didn't help either.

Successful effort to make step in the direction of their first one. Agree with CurtisLoew.

It is criminal that this slab of Faces 70's whiskey rock was so ignored. Gone are the tripped-out (ie: boring) leanings and "experimental" (ie: man are we stoned) structures. Instead the Crowes deliver their most joyful and enjoyable album. There is almost a glam feel to this (not Tigertailz glam, but real 70's English glam). If you liked the first two, but were scared away by subsequent releases, this is the one to come back to.

according to the hype surrounding this when it first came out this was the best thing since shake your moneymaker but let me assure all of you it's nothing of the sort but let it be said it's still a very good album some good songs like kickin' my heart around,,horsehead, only a fool, by your side and welcome to the good times are all fine stuff
