From: Iza Date: October 27, 2001 at 7:08
So...I have to say something about this album:this is the music of my life,Keifer is my dream-lover and 'Long as I've got rock'n'roll,I'm forever young'.

From: Iza Date: October 27, 2001 at 7:14
It's me again.Pozdrawiam wszystkich Polakow, ktorzy weszli na ta strone!!!(O ile tacy sie znajda...)

Cinders gone all blues rock with instruments I've never heard of. Brilliant album love it to bits, still keeps its rock edge with songs that will last foever.

From: javier Date: January 14, 2002 at 15:23
Shelter me ??? One of my favourites songs. Power, voice, guitar, chorus, everything in this one is great

From: dokken6008 Date: March 25, 2002 at 6:37
Cinderella's third record, 'Heartbreak Station', was to me what it was for many other avid Cinderella fans--a major disappointment. Yes, there are good songs on here but there are definitely not enough of them. With 'Heartbreak Station', Tom Keifer & his band went totally over the top with blues rock n' roll. Really a lot of the songs are just pure blues and don't even co-relate to true rock and roll. They dropped the ball on this one. Some musical experiments work, some don't. This one doesn't.

From: Desslar Date: April 5, 2002 at 11:25
Shelter Me is fantastic, but.... the band strays too far from its hard rock roots here. One or two songs are almost country! Although I disliked the album at first, it's gradually starting to grow on me.

From: dokken6008 Date: April 8, 2002 at 8:50
Not really country. 'Heartbreak Station' is just pure blues. Remember, country is derived from blues not vice versa.

From: angelous Date: April 14, 2002 at 21:18
They were found by jon bon jovi...and since then they are one of the best rock band I'd heard....keep on going you guys....

From: TIM Date: April 15, 2002 at 7:28
This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Cinderella can do no wrong in my book. Tom Keifer rules!

From: Drag-in-Bones Date: April 25, 2002 at 10:09
Cop a feel of the Jazzy Funk Atmosphere of Heartbreak Station's Swamp Boogie. I love this CD! Key words, Bud Dry, Coca Cola, Fizz Wizz, Taco Bell. Buy the way, is there a toilet flushing on this album? Listen carefuly.

From: Tony Date: May 19, 2002 at 12:38
What's funny is in 2002 I still listen to this and 'Long Cold Winter' but rarely bring out 'Night Songs' in that while 'Night Songs' had a great 80's hard rock vibe going the follow-ups just showed such a maturity in songwriting it makes it seem 'dated' to me. I give these guys all the credit in that they actually progressed and matured gracefully with each album and how many bands of the time can you say that about? Great blues based rock-n-roll album.

From: jason Date: June 6, 2002 at 21:35
If you don't like this album thats because you are a Cinderella fan. If you do like this album thats because you are a Tom Keifer fan. If you are a Tom Keifer fan than you know what I am talking about.

From: jason Date: June 6, 2002 at 21:41
I am a Tom Keifer fan.

From: Kim Date: June 16, 2002 at 20:21
Jason, I have no clue what you mean here.?? Pls explain. Without the &'@' words. This is the only Cinderella album I dont like. Cinderella is the best band from the 80/90`s scene. This band brought so much good music. Long cold Winter is my alltime No 1 cd. On my top 10 are cd`s like. Destroyer(KISS). VH1(Van Halen). In The Beginning(Malice). Lights Out(UFO). Dr:Feelgood(MCrue). Future World(PMaids). No Fuel(DAD) and Cinderella beats it all.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 16, 2002 at 20:47
KIM, You are a Cinderella fan and that is why you don't like this album. You can tell by lissening to this CD that it is the album that Tom always wanted to write. It has a more southern sound to it and I believe that Tom is more into that style. Tom K. got what he wanted on this album but it isn't what Cinderella fans are use too. Do you kind of get what I mean?.........

From: Kim Date: June 17, 2002 at 16:16
Ok, Jason, now I get it. I just never really understood why this great rock band turned this soft. By the way, have you ever heard the band Alligator Stew.?? Theyre absolutely great. Has a great southern style, mixed with some good guitar hooks. The singer used to play in The Regulators and Asphalt Ballet. It was one of the best releases last year. Their style reminds me a little of the style which Cinderella uses on Heartbreak Station.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 17, 2002 at 16:54
KIM, if you are talking about the singer of The Regulators than I am sure that I will not like Alligator Stew. Maybe you should look at my comments on The Regulators page. Sorry, but NO THANKS!

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 17, 2002 at 16:59
If you ask me what good southern rock is, than I would have to say bands like........ Pride & Glory, Tora Tora and The Four Horsemen.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 27, 2002 at 3:56
Tesla would seem to be the most obvious band to me.... As for the Keifer/Cinderella fan comment, I think that you are right. I guess that that makes a Cinderella fan; I was never huge on this cd although a few of the songs are extremely good but they seem to be too few & far in between (to ME, don't get upset now!!). The title-track song ranks among one of the best ballads in the 1990s.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 27, 2002 at 3:56
I dig Tora Tora though.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: June 27, 2002 at 16:52
D-6008, if you think that Tesla sounds southern than you need to check out Frank Hannon's other band Moon Dog Mane. They are on this site and they are very southern sounding. Check it out!

From: RichieRocker Date: June 30, 2002 at 8:37
I love the song 'The more things Change' and 'Love's Got me doing Time'. But I really disliked this album because it didnt sound like the previous 2. I want the Cinderella that knows how to kick ass, not write this mellow music. I think though, to make an album like this takes a lot of talent and creativity so I give them props for it. But IMO I love the first 2 much more than this one.

From: Kim Date: June 30, 2002 at 9:57
The singer from Alligator Stew was the first singer in Asphalt Ballet. He has an awesome voice and the Alligator Stew cd is fantastic. I have Pride & Glory, Tora Tora, and The Four Horsemen. I wouldnt classify Tora Tora as Southern Rock.

From: Rick Rock Date: July 21, 2002 at 20:51
The key to this album is the flatulent quality of the drums and the bombastic flair of the grime. The vocals perpetuate that of an ox and a fiddle, long live the metal of the pig!

From: Baris Date: September 13, 2002 at 3:10
This is unfortunately a mediocre hair-rock album which is below Cindrella standarts. Firstly never energetic and affective as the previous ones. Except 'Love's Got Me Doin Time' and 'Shelter Me' the songs are quite BORING. Another problem is that it's like Jeff tries to push everytime that he has learned to play slide guitar well. OK Jeff, you're a good slider! Yeah, this could be better but mostly it smells like a formality one. I repeat THIS IS BORING! I prefer their former two albums.

From: The Fizzy One Date: October 2, 2002 at 13:01
Did somebody mention Fizz Wizz? That's what I just did in the bathroom just now. Har! As for this album, I dfeinitely appreciate a bit of blooze with my hard rock, but I think Cinderella overdid it just a weeeeee bit here. I really didn't like this one much when I first got it, but have grown to really like some of the songs on here in the ensuing dozen years. The Fizz Picks: 'More Things Change,' 'Shelter Me,' the title track, 'Sick for the Cure,' 'One for R&R,' 'Dead Man's Road' and track #9.

From: Scott Date: February 13, 2003 at 13:42
Looking back over the past years that I have owned 'Heartbreak Station', it gets more play than the other three Cinderella CDs combined. I find the music and vocal melodies to be absolutely infectious from beginning to end. http://www.nolifetilmetal.com/cinderella.htm

From: Gar Date: February 15, 2003 at 6:44
Some of Cinderella's best songs are on this cd. Unfortunately, some of their worst songs are here too('One For Rock & Roll', anybody?).

From: Dusty Gibbons Date: February 24, 2003 at 23:04
Thought you cinders fans might be interested to know that Tom Jones used to cover Shelter Me live. I never saw the welsh love daddy live, but respect is due, as he wouldn't cover any old shit. I'd rate the thing as a whole 6/10

From: Ribap Date: March 5, 2003 at 21:04
I like this album better than Long Cold Winter, this is classic rock and roll. This album and the first one are Cinderella's best. The fourth album is good too.

From: matt Date: April 2, 2003 at 19:58
this album wasn't suppose to sound like the other 2. cindrella wanted to make music like the rolling stones did from 1968-1973 but the record label didn't want them to. after they showed with long cold winter that the rock they liked could sell mercury gave the go ahead for an old school rock album. this is what they wanna play plus half of the long cold winter. they don't like the songs on night songs anymore and even change them up in concert. by the tom keifer has a country album coming out

From: King James Date: June 1, 2003 at 7:08
Enough with this southern junk! I love Cinderella's 1st CD and the 2nd one is good, too, but you can hardly even call this one 'metal'. All of the real headbangers out there don't want southern, blues, or country influences in their heavy metal. Let's keep it real!

From: andres Date: October 3, 2003 at 18:27
bestt fuckinn albumm ever... cinderella is the best band in the world.. HEART BREAK STATION

From: Elton Date: November 3, 2003 at 15:37
I never heard something in the hard rock universe like this before! It's simply different of everything I knew about hard rock!

From: Fat Freddy Date: January 5, 2004 at 18:22
'Shelter Me' is perhaps the best song on this overlooked album. If you're a fan of blues rock you might dig it, but if you're looking for the hard rocking Cinderella of the first two albums, you're going to be disappointed. I like this one to a point, but I do think they went too far into the blues with this one. It's the only Cinderella album I've never bothered to upgrade with a CD copy because I rarely listen to it these days.

From: SeaneLe Date: January 31, 2004 at 2:23
in my hometown Menado,Indonesia.. Cinderella is like a god! I mean..almost every young people in the city knows Cinderella and their songs. honestly..i'm a little bit behind with their music and news..but still they are my number 1 band...ever!!! I grew up with Cinderella's song..and i will always remember..

From: handynas Date: February 13, 2004 at 4:34
Cinderella is sure one of my favourite bands, I esp like the album heartbreak station and the song itself, this is one of the rare occations where I like all the songs in an album, too bad they disappeared suddenly, anyone has their news or URL i can go to?

From: ThunderDan Date: March 25, 2004 at 18:30
Very cool album from a great rock band. It took a few listens to get used to it, but it really grew on me. I can't even pick a fave. While I'm at it, does anybody have any info about a new CD? It should've been out years ago!

From: jack Date: May 17, 2004 at 6:31
Cinderella is very experimental with their music unlike bon jovi whose music i consider quite boring. I appreciate their 'experiment' but this album i think has gone just a little too far. Night songs was pure hard rock with almost no blues element, then long cold winter came and blues was found in some part of a few song, notably the first song but this album contain 'excessive' blues. NEVERTHELESS,This album is a top class one with lots of good songs but cold be better without the blues.

From: GlamFan Date: June 21, 2004 at 23:04
This album kicks ass

From: Dave Date: June 25, 2004 at 22:55
First we had one of the best debut albums of all time in Night Songs then we had one of the greatest albums of all time in Long Cold Winter and then the next album ,if it was going to be as good as the previous two releases it would have shot this band to super stardom but how disapointed i was when i got home and played it. I was later to read a big review in a metal magazine with the heading 'CINDERELLA HAVE RUN OF THE RAILS WITH HEARTBREAK STATION' This album was the beginig of the end. 4/10

From: JOSE. SPAIN Date: June 27, 2004 at 23:30
One of the best rock'roll albums ever heard. If you are a fan of the purest rock and if you are an open minded rokcer, this is THE BAND. Cinderella has everything to be reminded as a real and unique classic rock band, and the trilogy 'Night songs', 'Long cold winter' and 'Hearbreak station' is one of the definitives in the history of rock. My rate, 10.

From: jack Date: July 14, 2004 at 10:24
I think what Dave mention above sums up what the three album is about. I think if heartbreak station is as good as the first two, they would be regarded on par with bon jovi or def leppard or even better. Such a shame actually! The only one real excellent song is shelter me while the other 10 is just above average. But it doesn't really matter much to me cause cinderella will always be my personal favourite band and in my opinion(i don't know about others),they are the best band ever. They rules!

From: Mike Date: July 16, 2004 at 11:54
Nice record, even if maybe a bit too blues oriented when compared to 'Long Cold Winter'. Very good songs, though, the songwriting is often inspired and they did an amazing job on 'The More Things Change', the awesome 'Dead man's Road', and 'Make Your Own Way' (don't forget that on this record the band had been helped by one of the greatest keyboard player in the world: former Uriah Heep leader, Mr. Ken Hensley).

From: Rocker10 Date: October 28, 2004 at 2:22
My least favorite of the bands catalog titles. Not enough consistency as the first two albums being so great!

From: Kryiis Karl Date: November 6, 2004 at 2:24
This is a great release that would appeal to rock fans. It is not only influenced by blues to me but also by stuff like Otis Redding-like for the dynamic and use of saxo and so on. Production is very good, clear, good use of 'silences' every instrument can breath and exist at its appropriate place and time. Result is it passes the test of time.

From: Rycheage Date: November 6, 2004 at 10:37
Very different from the past Cinderella releases. That doesn't make it bad though. 'Shelter Me', 'The More Things Change' and 'Heartbreak Station' are my favorites on this often overlooked gem. Great southern-styled rock, just not what Cinderella fans are used to. Give it a whirl without 'Night Songs' playing in your head.

From: Glammer Date: November 26, 2004 at 15:01
this is the best cinderella album ever, if you havent got it, go to the nearest musicstore and BUY IT, while its still availible. Thats an order!!!

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 11:32
Blow me away!!! Cinderella's artful musicianship has once again proved worthy of perfection status.

From: Metal80s Date: December 14, 2004 at 4:56
Sorry people but I hated this cd. Cinderella completely mellows out with no ripping energetic rockers anywhere! Just lots of monotose repetative watered down songs. That cd is just terrible. There is not one great rocker on this cd and it almost sounds like Country in parts. Avoid this cd.

From: Dave Stamos Date: December 16, 2004 at 12:51
Tom Keifer and the boys made here another great job. Blues-rock with all the feeling that Tom contains in his songs. Tom Keifer is one of the most underrated songwriters of hardrock...unfortunately... Cinderella lives in my soul forever!!

From: Geoff Date: March 8, 2005 at 4:42
I bought this CD for $20 when I started listening to hard rock; one of the first 20 I ever bought. I brought it back to the shop for a refund. I then got their other 3 discs around the place and picked this up a few years later for $2. I still don't like it and IMO it's by far their worst disc, but I guess the first 2 tracks are pretty cool, as is the title track and 'Electric love' has a cool vibe, and to be honest 'Love gone bad' is great. Ok, so I don't mind the disc... still, only decent IMO

From: orietto Date: March 8, 2005 at 8:18
great absolute masterpiece 10 !

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 15, 2005 at 23:12
More of a blues/country feel on this one! Gone is the glam tag, and it's not all bad! The first half of the album is amazing! Great songwriting with a big difference from their last two albums! Hard rock's reign was coming to an end, and Cinderella could see it coming, but unfortunately got steamrolled like a lot of other acts similar! But Cinderella was better than most of their so called peers, and it was a shame we didn't hear any more music from them for half a decade! 8/10...

From: Azza Date: May 6, 2005 at 13:32
I can see why some people may dislike this album compared to there other material but me personally I find this album beautiful. Heartbreak Station itself has to be one of my fave ballads but the rest of the songs are equally as good and I find this album a really enjoyable listen. Great musicians, great melody and good use of dynamics...At least give it a try because you'll either hate it or you'll absolutely love it.

From: memole Date: August 2, 2005 at 5:02
Their best cd ever...here the guys found their own way...great!

From: Gonzalo rock Date: August 13, 2005 at 6:50
Without a doubt Cinderella is not a hair band like others. Today their music is a reference, without any label and no album they're headliners on the road. Both Long Cold Winter and Heartbreak Station are masterpieces in melodic rock history. Personally this last is the top for the band, track by track all them are superb.

From: headbanger4life Date: December 27, 2005 at 3:06
While I did like this one, it was a more bluesy direction for the band and away from the sound that I enjoyed most by them. They still had a good sound and produced some good music. I saw them on tour in Japan for this release and they mostly played their older stuff and only two or three of this album.

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 21, 2006 at 14:46
A decent affair but a letdown from their last record due to the overwhelming expectation of even greater things. There are no standout ballads but still plenty of blues infused big hair rock. Defintely a less commercialized affair but still miles above most big hair bands of the day & worth a spin every blue moon.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: March 15, 2006 at 14:43
In the story, Cinderella's spell wore off at midnight. In hair-metal land, Cinderella's third album turned to shit the moment they recorded it. This release broke a lot of fans' hearts, for they were expecting a great hard rock record and instead were shovel-fed this bluesy, southern-rock-flavored pile of cow dung. Aside from the titular ballad, there's nothing on this CD remotely worth listening to, and I'd rather stick my head under the wheels of a locomotive than hear this drivel ever again.

From: donlyjray Date: July 25, 2006 at 14:23
Without resorting to insults, Metalmaniac is wrong. I love this album! Whether it's more bluesy or hard rock, Cinderella has always delivered great songs and this one's no exception.

From: Melodiker Date: August 1, 2006 at 19:33
Shelter me is one hell of a song, but the whole album is a little mellow against cold winter & night songs ! hmmmmm.....7,5 Points

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 6, 2007 at 18:32
This one really digs into the blues rock side of the bands sound. The sleaze edge is still there, but for the most part, this is a blues rock record with hairband flair. Once again another hit and miss affair as well, which is always the down side to every Cinderella album. What's good is good and what's not is not. No in between or consistancy. They would have done better if there was. 'Shelter Me' is a pretty kick ass tune! Again, good, but not great.

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: March 7, 2009 at 1:32
I don't mind the change in direction, so much as the relative lack of memorable songs. The first few songs are great, but along about halfway through, things start going sideways. Lots of mellowish, midpaced tunes that aren't ballads, but don't really rock either. My favorites would be the three singles, particularly the title track. After that, "Sick For The Cure" and "Electric Love," and that's about it.

From: rockhardrock Date: April 11, 2009 at 13:17
all their albums are great, but if i have to decide which one is their best, i would pick this one. i think that they put on this album more blues than on any other one. my fav. from this one: The More Things Change, Shelter Me, Heartbreak Station (their best ballad and one of my fav. ballads), Make Your Own Way and Winds of Change.

From: edwithmj Date: February 24, 2010 at 19:38
An OKish album. It's far too bluesy even for me and the worst thing is it's just an imitation of blues and not the real thing. In short it's contrived. Long Cold Winter was a perfect mixture of hard rock and blues but this has only a few good songs on it. Love's Got Me Doin' Time, The More Things Change and Electric Love are decent tracks and Heartbreak Station is an OK ballad but compared to the first two albums this is drivel.

From: pie75 Date: June 27, 2010 at 2:18
yes guys there is some goog points maybe this was the album tom keiffer wanted to make probably should've been a solo album i'm a fan of tom and cinderella i love their blues stuff maybe could've rocked a little and kind of atrange one for rock and roll sounded country to me go figure i do love the more things change, shelter me,electric love, make your own way and the title track is just superb great album none the less

From: dreamer Date: September 28, 2010 at 18:42
If you like blues you will love it. Who do I hear on Dead Man's Road? I'm getting deja vu.

From: JONBONPIGO Date: September 29, 2014 at 18:13
80's Cinderella were in my Top 5 bands.. Despite being released during the Hair Metal Heyday...I never got into this album...probably because Cinderella went from being a Hard Rock Metal band of the Mid 80's to a Bluesy Metal band of the Late 80's and finally a Countryish Metal band as of this release.. That said...there are some excellent songs on this release..namely: Heartbreak Station The More Things Change Shelter Me

From: Palash Date: May 9, 2017 at 13:10
All time great album. Excellent spirit voice from Tom Keifer. The great songs are dead man's road, electric love, winds of change etc. The album cover is also very good.

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: October 9, 2022 at 4:39
I bought this tape in early '91, and, beyond the songs that I bought it for, I didn't connect with it at all. I was ten years old, and straight-up hair-metal was 90% of what I knew. I was not expecting this rootsy, bluesy, pretty country sound from Cinderella, and really didn't know what to make of it, for at least ten years. I still wouldn't say it's their best album, but I understand what they were going for a lot better now. "Shelter Me" was the first single - not typical Cinderella, but so damn catchy, how can you not like it, and it's so relatable for any rocker. The title track was the second single, and although I wasn't totally sold on it at the time, it's become my favorite Cinderella ballad - there's just something warm and oddly comforting about it. "The More Things Change" was the third single, a belated attempt to draw in the hardcore fans who might've been turned off by the new sound - too little, too late, but a good song nonetheless.

"Sick For The Cure" and "Make Your Own Way" are the only other songs that really rock hard, and even they seem a little more laid-back and Stonesy. "Love's Got Me Doin' Time" and "Love Gone Bad" bring more of an Aerosmith vibe, kinda funky in the way that only white metalheads can be funky. The rest of the disc is pretty mellow, and honestly, it's marred by Tom's screechy rawk voice appearing in songs in which it doesn't belong, like 'Dead Man's Road" and "Winds of Change: (which I love anyway). So while not many songs would make it onto an honest best-of playlist, the album as a whole just has a deeper aura that keeps me coming back. The album and accompanying tour cost the band a ton of money they really didn't get much return on and maybe dealt a blow to their career, but i hindsight, this is their most creative album, and I really can't fault them for trying it. A fair number of hair bands tried to do this kind of thing kind of thing too, in the wake of the Black Crowes.
