Absolutely AWESOME!!! Indie release from Canada!! I can't speak highly enough about this little cracker!! Ripper, thanks once again for recommending this little pearler to me. People are always taking about the best Canadian indie's being Saints & Sinners, Dirty Works, Jester, etc. This one is as good as any of them. This band play a cross between Saints & Sinners and Johnny Crash with the attitude of early Skid Row. 10/10++ easily!! The production is top notch for an indie. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |

Yeah, they sound a lot like Asphalt Ballet's S/T release to me... Check it out, ballsy HR disc here... |

Just curious Paulo (assuming you are pretty familiar with Asphalt Ballet), do you hear the similarities in the two? Both are Awesome in my opinion either way! |
From: PauloFernandes | Date: February 22, 2004 at 12:22 |
Yeah Rip, there sure is a resemblance, especially on the harder Asphalt Ballet tracks, and you're right, both are very good ![]() |

If you like in your face hard rock, this is well worth your while. Not great, but a good solid slab of heavy rock. |

Sweet balls to the walls oriented rock. I liked the attitude in this one. I should've bought this one when I had the chance. A real good cd. |

It’s one of the finest indie out from Canada indeed. As Geoff said in a right way, this is not great but very very good and personally I consider the opening track a true bomb.solid production too, good singer and remarkable guitars arrangements.Recommended,8,5/10. |

Good glam sleaze album. I'm not really fond of their style, but they rock. Not that they have written any groundshaking songs, but they do rock! |
From: Delbert | Date: January 3, 2010 at 12:41 |
The style of this band is a mixture of BRIGHTON ROCK meets SKID ROW hard rock with that sleaze edge. More powerful than SLIK TOXIC...... you get the picture....??? |

I really enjoyed this CD. It sounds a lot like Faster Pussycat, especially the vocals. If you like Faster Pussycat, you will like this CD. |

For me this band deserved a success!!!...bad management???...lack of money???...who knows but from the bottom of my heart this band kicked some serious a**!!!!...a vocalist that reminds me of Vince Neil(Motley Crue) & Taime Downe(Faster Pussycat) and the rest of the musicians were just marvellous..."Dirtier Than You"(rocks!),"Low Down Dirty Lies" & "Tough Times"(the best cut IMHO)are my faves...shame they only recorded this mini album as fas as i know...recommended...87/100 ![]() |

The group was formed in the late 80’s by Lou Greenberg. At that time there was a female singer involved named Lenita Ericson from Michigan, who eventually went on to Solo projects & played the Winnipeg club scene with acts such as SHAKE NAKED in 1989. Joey Saltel (LAWSUIT, NUTHIN’ PRETTY) would eventually take over lead vocals with Roman Breuer also joining sometime during the early 90’s. During that period, Lou Greenberg then decided to work with the DEAD BEAT HONEYMOONERS out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and released their eponymous debut LP in 1992. This put a temporary halt to BARELY LEGAL until that act reformed in 1993 with Lenita again as their lead vocalist. But that was also short-lived as she was approached by several major labels in Canada as well as by the all-female act VIXEN while showcasing in Toronto. They were in need of a lead vocalist for their project named HELLS BELLES, and she would join them for a very brief period. Lenita continued to write songs and perform, then rel |

then released her first eponymous Solo album in 1997 which included PAUL STANLEY, industry heavyweights Kenny Aronoff and Ricky Phillips, as well as recording a duet with EDDIE MONEY This resulted in Lou taking over lead vocals with BARELY LEGAL and the remaining lineup featuring Roman (d), Arnold Umali (g), and Trevor Andres (b)(Solo, AWOL, STRANGE BREW, MIKE LUNO BAND +). They would tour across Canada and eventually settle in Vancouver, British Columbia in order to begin working on a studio release (many sources incorrectly list the act as originating from Vancouver when it was actually from Winnipeg). This would result in privately releasing their “Dirtier Than You (EP)” 500 copies were pressed, while becoming impossible to find nowadays (fetching over $500 in some cases). They toured somewhat to support their lone release in 1996 with new guitarist Randy Gable (THE DARBY MILLS PROJECT, BOONDOCK +) but would disband shortly afterwards. |
