I really like this CD and showed Neal's guitar versatility. A mix of new age/smooth jazz/blues/rock. What else can you say. A+++++++

Para definir esta placa sòlo me hace falta una palabra SOBERBIO. Deben haber pocos guitarristas con tanta versatilidad a la hora de tocar,pero ademàs la sensibilidad del sonido tan distintivo de Neal Schon,lo hace absolutamente ùnico.Demàs està decir que no le hacia falta este disco.Despues de Santana, Journey, Bad English y demàs.Sin embargo,vuelve a deslumbrar,una vez màs. My ultimate chill - out cd and one that gets very regular spins here. Great stuff from start to finish. Very different from the excellent 'Late Nite' cd released a few years earlier, but non the less this is a fine release proving that Mr.Schon is one of the ultimate players out there., If you like this one, Craig Chaquico's solo stuff comes highly recommended aswell.

A deviation for the Journey guitarist this time around, with the lush, and ambient instrumental album 'Beyond The Thunder'. Neal's work on the album is both breathtaking and memorable. Not for the fact that he's letting a guitar solo fly off the handle at a hundred miles an hour, as evidenced by the tremendous solo on 'Send Me An Angel', but more because of the understated approach taken on tracks such as the svelte 'Bandalero', or the breezy syncopated approach of 'Espanique'.

This cd is SO GOOD and ok there's no vocals on it but what the hell the melodys are so strong on here you don't need anyone singing on here, Neals guitar playing on here is superb he takes you to another place, beautiful melodys, catchy tunes but not to the point where you get bored of them this is a cruising album and a fantastic sounding one at that, also check out the follow up cd 'Electric World' very similar but longer and on 2 cds.

todos lo han dicho.. este disco es una genialidad, es cierto que es instrumental pero es hecho con una calidad insuperable, todos los instrumentos estan muy correctos y bien logrados... aca no hay coros grandiosos ni un vocalista que raye la genialidad.. solo tienes que escucharlo y ya! y como dice mi amigo beto.. es para cuando estas en una conversa con tus amigos.. pero yo lo escucharia en todos lados! jajajaaa... 10/10 gracias beto! ;-)

Si estas en busca de una obra enteramente instrumental,fina y con predominio absoluto de guitarras entonces este es tu Disco,temas gloriosamente trabajados por IMPRESIONANTE Neal Schon,(Cain & Smith incluidos)y estilos a discrecion: Soft rock,jazz,Latin,bluesy,Music World & New Age (increible "Deep Forest" con sintetizador a lo Chariots of fire de Vangelis) es obvio ademas el toque intimista y romantico que solo un año despues Schon repetiria en el magico Journey´s "Trial By Fire".Incalificable.

Que alegría que lo tengas Carlos! Este MARAVILLA para mí es el mejor disco instrumental que he oído en mi vida.. y eso que he oído muchos. Porfavor, de verdad lo digo, esta obra de arte es de verdad la octava maravilla de todos los discos instrumentales. COMPRA O MUERE. Definitivamente si me dieran a elegir un solo disco en la islita desierta pues a no dudarlo... Sería este. Saludos.

Hey J.C. como dices este disco es de lejos maravilloso y es grato ver que aunque N. Schon haya invertido en este "Beyond the Thunder" variados estilos, su virtuosismo hace de cada instrumental la gloria divina, un dato mas Juan Carlos si te fascinan los teclados y guitarras acusticas en onda New Age,(este disco roza ese magico estilo) hazte del hechizante "Oceans" de Vangelis, estas advertido Saludos desde el calido Trujillo.

Que más decir de este mago de las seis cuerdas, solo que el album esta bordado de sublimes melodías con esa técnica de guitarra inimitable del gran Neal Schon, ese estilo que solo el posee, temas que alcanzan casi la perfección,temas llenos de ese "feeling" que solo el sabe imprimir en cada una de ellas Big moon,Bandalero, Cool Breeze,Zanzibar,Send me an Angel,Boulevard Of Dreams (a lo journey y una de mis favoritas)Espanique,etc...,todas casi perfectas,combinando estilos y todos bien hechos...
