This is my altime favorite album. Cant wait to hear the second one. tomcat@dolfijn.nl

Pretty unbelievable how UNDER-RATED this album is. From what I understand, the Bang Gang is pretty much unknown to most of the glam audience (those who like PBF, Poison and so on), and that is truly a shame. I would definitely not go so far as to say this is my favorite album of all-time but I would like to go on record that if you can find this record, BUY IT. It is short and sweet and everything that a fan of glam could ever ask for. These guys had a lot of talent; the music wasn't forced.

From: P.C. Date: March 17, 2002 at 12:53
Every time when I listen this record I feel so good . Good old glam time of 80s . Good songs (Neon Fairytale,Young and the Restless,...). Second CD is very good too .

From: dokken6008 Date: April 8, 2002 at 12:04
'Vanity Kills'--for those that are unaware, is the Bang Gang's second cd available through fastlanerecords.com compromised of demos the band had was working on for their never-got-to-be second studio release. The sound quality on 'VK'--while it was supposedly "digitally enhanced"--is sub-standard but I can tell what the band were trying to lead up to. It is a shame that they never were able to complete an actual second record with the label. Buy 'Love Sells' first.

"Pedal to the Medal" is awesome, pure glam rock with a cool intro, Check it out.

From: dokken6008 Date: June 27, 2002 at 6:10
This fuckin' cd sells for OUTRAGEOUS prices on eBay, have any of you ever noticed that? For a good reason, too (thankfully I bought mine for about nine bucks one day and saved myself a few Jeffersons) Kick-ass fuckin' glam rock. Would loooooooooooooooooove to hear the Bang Gang back together making music together again but maybe that's just another dream that may never come true. You gotta agree with RR says, though--"Pedal To The Medal" ROCKS!! Couldn't agree more.

and i heard that scott stevens is nowadays in the popular rockband 'the exies' and is also denying his past...which is unnecessairy because this is one of the best releases in the genre.... Too bad their second release didn't had a good sound...but hey , i'm glad i finally have it... i give this album 9/10 There 's this punk band doing b.m.g. in their own way but can't remember the name... Young and restless, tomcat

From: RichieRocker Date: March 27, 2003 at 19:41
Just got this album, man its awesome, these guys should have had a bigger following than some of those other bands! Check out the song "Be a Model or just look like one" Its so awesome and has a lot of ferocoius intensity. Rock on People!!!

From: RichieRocker Date: March 28, 2003 at 4:12
Unbelievable album!!! It's aready becoming one of my favorites. Every song is cathchy and the instrument utilization is terrific!!! Highly recommended. I already have a friend wanting to burn a copy just after one listen!! Rock on Friends!!!

"Achon", the dude who played drums in the Bang Gang is still going strong, now with the stage name "Zurn Praxair" he plays drums for the Rock 'N' Roll Worship Circus (Sony/Epic/Vertical). The band was nominated for FOUR "Dove" awards after their freshman label album was out less than six months. The awards are in Nashville on April 10, 2003. For more info on "Achon" a.k.a. "Zurn", go to http://www.worshipcircus.com

From: mercy4all Date: April 3, 2003 at 3:49
By the way, I used to watch the Bang Gang on MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" often. I gotta agree that they were WAY underrated. They kicked butt on any & all glam acts of the day. Not even Poison or the Crue could compare. "Achon", a.k.a. "Zurn Praxair" these days, hasn't lost a beat, or any energy with his new bandmates in the RRWC. In fact, he's even improved so much that he plays even better than before, & that's even with him playing with only one hand much of the time!!! www.worshipcircus.com

From: TIM Date: April 3, 2003 at 4:18
Crue and Poison kick the shit out these guys. This stuff is boring.

From: RichieRocker Date: April 3, 2003 at 5:07
I love this album but The Crue will kick this groups ass anyday! Im listening to this album right now and I love it, but the Crue are a lot better!!

From: TIM Date: April 3, 2003 at 5:43
I'll give it another spin RichieRocker but Poison and Crue are still better in my book. I forgot to email you- I'll try to do so asap.

From: Richierocker Date: April 3, 2003 at 13:30
Cool TIM! Ya I love The Bang Gang But The Crue are one of my all time favorites and I like Poison a little better than these guys. Still a good album though.

From: Kevin Date: June 16, 2003 at 22:19

From: Date: June 24, 2003 at 4:51
Nice cd...a bit boring...but nice.

From: Craig Date: July 19, 2003 at 17:35

From: shine69 Date: May 2, 2004 at 5:49

From: shine69 Date: May 2, 2004 at 5:51

Clearly one of the best glam releases there was. Great songwriting, big choruses and hooks, killer riffs... a brilliant glam hard rock CD done as good as it gets, from start to finish. Brilliant album!

From: jarett r. Date: June 4, 2004 at 23:56
reportedly, tracii guns made a guest appearance on this album.

From: Richierocker Date: July 14, 2004 at 20:43

"Be a model or just llok like one" Dangeous, Young and the restless" just to name a few and of course 2oth century boy and Pedal to the metal. guys buy this album!!! this is one of my all time favorites. Rock on!!

From: Richierocker Date: July 14, 2004 at 20:56
These guys kick Posion's ass big time!!

From: Richierocker Date: August 21, 2004 at 11:36
Just as good as Pretty Boy Floyd's Leather Boys With Electric Toyz?? It's very debatable. I will say this album and Leather Boys are some of my all time favorites. I also said earlier that Poison was better than these guys. I take it back , these guys are a lot better than Poison In my own opinion. Guys spend the money and get this album you will be blown away!!!

From: fretboardfrenzy Date: February 27, 2005 at 16:09

From: Rush34 Date: August 6, 2005 at 1:23
Interestingly in my travels i have found around 8 copies of this disc which seems to go for crazy prices nowadays. If anyone is interested i still have 4-5 of them to trade or sell. I sure do miss the 80's and early 90's rock...special time in my life!

From: kingpigmee Date: June 19, 2006 at 1:52
Rush34, If you still have a copy of this cd, I would really like to get it from you. Email me at mdh@cfl.rr.com and let me know please.

From: Emanuel Date: July 2, 2006 at 5:05
If you want to know what a few band members are up to now, Achon has a website www.ptheclown.com and www.albertart.com and Scott Stevens is in a band called The Exies. This album kicks.

From: metalalways Date: September 24, 2006 at 21:44
this cd kicks a whole lot of ass, young and the restless baby!!!!!!!!!!!!! pedal to the metal, 20th century boy, be a model (or just look like one) is good i like the ballad b.m.g. be my girl. all in all great cd.

From: aorteto Date: October 22, 2006 at 10:13
Solo 9 temas, pero que TEMAZOS. Dentro de este estilo, mi preferido sin dudas junto a VAIN-NO RESPECT. Imposible quedarse quieto y no cantar escuchando 20th CENTURY BOY o BE A MODEL.

From: Helix Date: November 14, 2006 at 13:35
I'm really glad someone up above really likes this cd cause I can't seem to get what they got out of this cd. just a very avarage cd that came pretty much after the death of sleaze and hair metal.anyone truely a fan of the L.A. strip will see right through this cd and feel the same way I do about it.Found this cd to be very boring. I mean the cover song has been done by lots of bands, and the rest of the tracks did not want to make me listen to this a second time.

From: RageXIII Date: July 26, 2007 at 13:57
Along with Wildside "Under the Influence" and Saints & Sinners, this is another favorite discovery since finding HeavyHarmonies. Favorites are "Pedal to the Metal", "Young and the Restless", and "Neon Fairytale". Definitely worth hunting for, even if you have to pay ~$20 on ebay!

From: Trixx Date: June 2, 2010 at 19:43
Hello guys! I like The Bang Gang "Love Sells". Does anybody have lyrics? I'd be very rusiated for that. trixx@bigmir.net

From: the rocker Date: December 11, 2011 at 20:14
This is a good one. Pedal to the medal, Young & the restless, Thrill after thrill, & Be a model are my picks.

From: hair metal again Date: July 30, 2012 at 0:58
fantastic hair metal release by BANG GANG ,and this one is a cult release for die hard fans of the genre.when i bought it back then i believed it would be selling thousands but this didnt happen despite the big hits included like "pedal to the metal","young and the restless",'you make the beat go on"!the guitars are great ,the vocals remind me of Taime s and the attitude and the groove are all over!brilliant release!
