Pretty unbelievable how UNDER-RATED this album is. From what I understand, the Bang Gang is pretty much unknown to most of the glam audience (those who like PBF, Poison and so on), and that is truly a shame. I would definitely not go so far as to say this is my favorite album of all-time but I would like to go on record that if you can find this record, BUY IT. It is short and sweet and everything that a fan of glam could ever ask for. These guys had a lot of talent; the music wasn't forced.

'Vanity Kills'--for those that are unaware, is the Bang Gang's second cd available through fastlanerecords.com compromised of demos the band had was working on for their never-got-to-be second studio release. The sound quality on 'VK'--while it was supposedly "digitally enhanced"--is sub-standard but I can tell what the band were trying to lead up to. It is a shame that they never were able to complete an actual second record with the label. Buy 'Love Sells' first.

This fuckin' cd sells for OUTRAGEOUS prices on eBay, have any of you ever noticed that? For a good reason, too (thankfully I bought mine for about nine bucks one day and saved myself a few Jeffersons) Kick-ass fuckin' glam rock. Would loooooooooooooooooove to hear the Bang Gang back together making music together again but maybe that's just another dream that may never come true. You gotta agree with RR says, though--"Pedal To The Medal" ROCKS!! Couldn't agree more.

and i heard that scott stevens is nowadays in the popular rockband 'the exies' and is also denying his past...which is unnecessairy because this is one of the best releases in the genre.... Too bad their second release didn't had a good sound...but hey , i'm glad i finally have it... i give this album 9/10 There 's this punk band doing b.m.g. in their own way but can't remember the name... Young and restless, tomcat

"Achon", the dude who played drums in the Bang Gang is still going strong, now with the stage name "Zurn Praxair" he plays drums for the Rock 'N' Roll Worship Circus (Sony/Epic/Vertical). The band was nominated for FOUR "Dove" awards after their freshman label album was out less than six months. The awards are in Nashville on April 10, 2003. For more info on "Achon" a.k.a. "Zurn", go to http://www.worshipcircus.com

By the way, I used to watch the Bang Gang on MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" often. I gotta agree that they were WAY underrated. They kicked butt on any & all glam acts of the day. Not even Poison or the Crue could compare. "Achon", a.k.a. "Zurn Praxair" these days, hasn't lost a beat, or any energy with his new bandmates in the RRWC. In fact, he's even improved so much that he plays even better than before, & that's even with him playing with only one hand much of the time!!! www.worshipcircus.com

Just as good as Pretty Boy Floyd's Leather Boys With Electric Toyz?? It's very debatable. I will say this album and Leather Boys are some of my all time favorites. I also said earlier that Poison was better than these guys. I take it back , these guys are a lot better than Poison In my own opinion. Guys spend the money and get this album you will be blown away!!!

Interestingly in my travels i have found around 8 copies of this disc which seems to go for crazy prices nowadays. If anyone is interested i still have 4-5 of them to trade or sell. I sure do miss the 80's and early 90's rock...special time in my life!

Solo 9 temas, pero que TEMAZOS. Dentro de este estilo, mi preferido sin dudas junto a VAIN-NO RESPECT. Imposible quedarse quieto y no cantar escuchando 20th CENTURY BOY o BE A MODEL.

I'm really glad someone up above really likes this cd cause I can't seem to get what they got out of this cd. just a very avarage cd that came pretty much after the death of sleaze and hair metal.anyone truely a fan of the L.A. strip will see right through this cd and feel the same way I do about it.Found this cd to be very boring. I mean the cover song has been done by lots of bands, and the rest of the tracks did not want to make me listen to this a second time.

Along with Wildside "Under the Influence" and Saints & Sinners, this is another favorite discovery since finding HeavyHarmonies. Favorites are "Pedal to the Metal", "Young and the Restless", and "Neon Fairytale". Definitely worth hunting for, even if you have to pay ~$20 on ebay!

fantastic hair metal release by BANG GANG ,and this one is a cult release for die hard fans of the genre.when i bought it back then i believed it would be selling thousands but this didnt happen despite the big hits included like "pedal to the metal","young and the restless",'you make the beat go on"!the guitars are great ,the vocals remind me of Taime s and the attitude and the groove are all over!brilliant release!
