Hmm . . . ,this is a bit of a disappointment I'm afraid ! To average to hold my attention. Compared to the added eighties AOR records, it falls short ! No, not recommended at all !

From: TIM (2) Date: October 25, 2005 at 10:17
According to the 2 main men, the recording & methods of the making of this album mirrored that of the classic debut. Yeah, well it's a damn shame the finished article doesn't mirror that album. Only tracks 3 & 11 are worth a listen, & even they're not that good. This is bluesy, & raw sounding, & isn't AOR in any shape or form. It doesn't even do you the service of getting better with each listen, as it's as lifeless & dull now as it was the first time I played it. What were they thinking? 3/10.

From: Geoff Date: October 26, 2005 at 19:23
Tim (2) is right again. I am really quite fond of 'Oh Sarah' and 'Sherylee' - two simple but very effective melodic rockers, but holy shit... what is the rest of this crap? I HATE the guitar sound and the song writing is so poor it's ridiculous. Not every song is a complete write-off, but it just sounds so uninspiring and to be honest I'm just not interested at all. I'll only ever listen to those 2 tracks off this album. Very disappointing. What happened to these guys?

From: spaniard Date: October 29, 2005 at 4:59
Estoy sorprendido con la puntuacion. se trata de un disco bastante bueno. Si te gustan grupos como Boston, compruebalo

aor freaky. I dísagree with you.Highly recommended

Hey Geoff --& all the others.. I'm not keen of the TREAT reunion and that's 'cos of the fact how often we'll be disappointed of what comes out of an 80s band in the 00s. I guess they have to sound "modern" (Return, Europe, Stryper etc.). That's a sign of these f*ckin' times nowadays.. To all of them 2/10 !!! I respect the trying but not the outcome.

From: Erik Date: October 30, 2005 at 7:53
You got a good point there Scandi. I agree. Lets hope though Treat will stick to what made em so popular.

From: Ice CreamGirlz Date: November 4, 2005 at 19:20
Judging from the snippets of this album, I think this is boring sounding. According to the other reviews that I have been seeing......its not a real good release...and i have always loved Alien.

From: Erik Date: November 14, 2005 at 11:37
Sorry to say but this is just no good .

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 26, 2006 at 11:51
If you make a comparison between this one and the first you are going to be out of phase completely.People do grow old and this guys are not the exception.Their glorious days have gone by shamely.I did like the album in its 50% but is unimaginiable how far as in aor heaven composition this album is according to their old stuff.Only 2 or 3 songs could be from their old background but of course with a new sound wich makes it lackless.

Fallen Eagle Tema Demoledor del albun con un empesar maldito pero con un stylo al rock alternativo como que pierde la magia en lo largo del tema...

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: October 1, 2007 at 21:05

PIECE OF CRAP! SOUNDS TERRIBLE

From: rick kerch vzla Date: October 18, 2011 at 22:21
Listening to this album again....ummmm...they sounded like if they wanted to be a kind of a hybrid of Deep Purple/Rainbow/Glenn Hughes at times("Dark Eyes" is an example)...but if i'm being objective at the end there are some goodies being the last track "Sherylee" the only one that somehow remained an old Alien style of song..."Don't Go Easy","Oh Sarah"(nice),"Fallen Eagle"(catchy),"Don't Fight It","Are You Ready"(rocks) & "Fire(The Game)"...songs that somehow will catch your attention but immediately will put you in a nostalgic thought and most likely you will run directly to their old stuff...70/100

From: Tito Date: December 5, 2011 at 8:46
rick is so right! The band wanted more a 70's classic rock approach with touches of AOR. So they followed the style of their last album "Crash". The formula works sometimes: "Oh Sarah","Fallen Eagle","Don't Fight It","Fire","Sherylee" are very good songs.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 5, 2011 at 20:38
That's the way this album sounded Tito...cheers mate!!!

From: tentacle Date: January 17, 2013 at 23:47
After all the negative talk around this album I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. The 70's feel is very refreshing and loose nature of songs lift you up. I like this style as much as the "classic" aor Alien.

From: titothetitan Date: October 19, 2017 at 15:28
I listened to this album once again and I think it still a disappointing (but not bad) one. The biggest mistake these guys did was to switch between two distinct styles, one being AOR and the other classic rock. Tracks 3,4,7,8,10,11 are great melodic songs with catchy choruses. The rest is just forgettable and even Jim sounds uninterested singing those. 7.0/10

From: titothetitan Date: November 23, 2017 at 12:49
On Tony's words: "Our new CD sounds very close to what ALIEN sounded when it all started. We've gone back to our roots and what inspired us to become musicians when we wrote the songs for 'Dark Eyes'."
