Simply the best L.A. Hard Rock album. This is a real BIG ONE!! The L.A. scene divide It in two different ages: 1-) Before SHOT IN THE DARK 2-) After SHOT IN THE DARK In all aspects; in attitude, in music building, lyrics (smoke some pot and hear "Waiting For Love" f.ex.) The album opens wid powerful "She Shakes Me", and I don't blame If I say this one is THE BEST HARD ROCK SONG SINCE EVER. This album is seminal. Buy It, Steal It, Kiddnap It. The L.A. Hard Rock scene beggins strong here

DEFINATELY BEST AOR-HARD ROCK ALBUM! ''she shakes me'' n ''what do you do'' is my favourites BRILLIANT MUSIC FROM THIS EXCELLENT-UNIQUE BAND

From: Big Papa K Date: September 14, 2004 at 2:44
Not much to say on this one, except I find it out that the two cover songs are back to back. "Face The Day" is my favorite cover that the band has done, but their version of "Gimme Some Lovin'" is their worst cover. 6/10

Unfortunately I've had this CD for a long time and to this day only the title track really strikes out as a gem. The rest is good hard rock, but not the greatest or most memorable album they ever did, IMO. Solid hard rock.

This album have that special sound that also TURBO, SOMEWHERE IN TIME, THE ULTIMATE SIN or DEFENDER OF THE FAITH had. Listen to the song SHOT IN THE DARK and you will know what i am talking about. Together with the first release, best GREAT WHITE album ever.

Kin-A!!! This one was the third in an extremely strong installment form the back to basics masters.

From: Metal Pete Date: December 1, 2004 at 16:07
Very good album. It is more polished than the debut, which I listen to more than this one. "Face the Day" and 'She Shakes Me' make this one essential, with a couple of other highlights. 8/10, with the debut going 9.5/10

From: Kim HP Date: December 26, 2004 at 15:46
Pretty decent album. Not one I play very often though. I'm not a huge fan of the title track, but "She Shakes Me" and especially "Run Away" are great songs. Overall rating: 7/10

Very overlooked Great White Release...Great tunes!

From: wzcj02 Date: November 22, 2006 at 8:49
Good album, some good songs but alittle too much synth. Is more pop than the album before and the album after it. Still any GW release is a good one and songs like "Runaway" and "Shot in the dark" make this one worth snaffling. Note "Face the day" is the same version as "the angels" did and "gimme some lovin" is the same as the blues brother's version so are cover tunes. Check out the blues mix of "face the day".

And this would be their best one???I do have other 2/3 albums on cassette(really average, nothin'special),this is the only I do have on cd.Well,I consider very good here 3 songs("Shot in the dark","Run away"and"Waiting for love"),the rest is decent, more than decent the first 2 tracks, nothing else.8/10???!!!
