Great disk, and I also liked twice shy and some stuff after, but this was one of their best. If you like hard rock, ____________________. Worthy of any cd collection.

This release and their TWICE SHY release are classic GREAT WHITE. Alot of hits on these two. I too strayed off of the Great White fishing trip after these two releases.

One thing that annoys me is when people lump Great White in with the hair-metal scene of the mid- to late-1980s.This band was all about quality classic rock, not image-dominated spandex rock.Their Led Zeppelin,Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake influences are obvious, and this album (the band's first great record - the previous albums were merely good) pays homage to those influences while creating a style and sound of their own. Twice Shy was an equally excellent follow-up two years later.

Save your love & Rock me were good-ass Great White songs!!!! I remember listening to the album & said "DAMN!!!!" I am only 16, but a kid my age wholistens to Ratt, Tesla, Poison, the Crue, & Great White is rare. This group REALLY lived up to the sleaze category, & proved it for years to come.

Shame this group has 'fans' that all they want from rock music is 'good-ass' songs. Fuck off and listen to Slaughter, alright Rattfan1986?

This cd is an 80's hard rock classic! Really not a bad song here. Rock me is one of the best hard rock songs ever recorded. All over now, never change heart, and on the edge simply rock. I wore out tapes listening to this as a kid. It just does not get any better. And the videos for lady red and rock me are killer. Rolling stoned is a newer song not on this disc that gets me every time. Pick this one up it's not $$$ wasted!!

I never really grouped Great White into the hair metal or hard rock catagories. Maybe in loks, but that was about it. They were more of a hard blues rock. My favorite tune by them is Lady Red Light

Yeah, you'd be a hard individual not to get some enjoyment out of this one. I've always loved Great White and this shows why. 'Lady red light', 'Rock me', 'All over now' and 'Never change heart' are ALL top class, perfect melodic / commercial rock gems. 'Save your love' is a spectacular ballad, and overall the sound / music is awesome and the vibe is worth it alone. Awesome band, awesome CD. Highly recommended.

Hey gang, need some info on a Great White record (yeah, good old vinyl!)I found today - it's called "Out Of The Night" on Aegean Records and was co-produced by Don Dokken. Tracks are "Out Of The Night," "Last Time," "On Your Knees," "No Way" and "Dead End." Anyone know anything about it? If so, just PM me on the board. And to keep it on topic , this is my favorite GW disc - always in a CD player somewhere in the house or the car!

As with pretty much every Great White album, their are a couple great songs surrounded by filler. "Rock Me" is the bands best original song, combining everything good about the band into one tune. "Save Your Love" is their best ballad and one of the best 80's ballads and "Lady Red Light" is a great opening rocker. The rest besides "All Over Now" is mostly filler. 6/10

Quite simply one of the best melodic hard rock CD's ever recorded. Great White are a great band but a pity they never rocked this hard after this release.

Para mi, el primer buen disco de la banda, pero no el mejor, ni muchísimo menos. Rock me y Save your love, los puntos fuertes de este Once Bitten.

Very good album. My favorite song of this album is ALL OVER NOW, a real classic. Also LADY RED LIGHT, ROCK ME or SAVE YOUR LOVE are great. Any hard rock fan of the 80s need to buy this album, NOW.

A great rock and roll record! I dont like it as much as the debut and 'Shot In The Dark'-but still a great melodic slab of savagry. While radio and fans seemed to gravitate toward "rock me" and "Save Your Love"-The best are "Never Change Heart", "On The Edge", "Fast Road", "All Over Now" and "Lady Red Light". 9/10

This one stands next to twice shy and hooked-three best records of them. "Lady Red Light"has great guitar riff!!!"rock me"is great rock songs(but just too long, isn it?)"save your love"is my personal fav. ballad of this band-true gem!"Gonna Getcha" and "all over now" are pretty good too.

For me their last decent album.Goes downhill fast after "Once Bitten" (too many cover songs, burning a 100 people to death in a club-you get the picture) I did like "Desert Moon" off "Hooked" however...

Un clasico HardRock un buen album para mi gusto, con temas como Lady Red Light, Never Change heart junto a On The Edge lo mas rescatable del disco, con ese toque y sonido misterioso buenos temas y sobre el resto del disco hay cortes como "Fast Road", "All Over Now", "Gonna GetCha" de un nivel regular algo fiestero a mi parecer pero eso si con su buen toque de guitarra que no lo hace nada mal un buen trabajo de Great White....

Splendid album by the mighty Great White!!!.. a truly 80's classic!!!..good songs such as the melodic rock opener "Lady Red Light" throughout diamonds such as "Rock Me" & "All Over Now" and the best track that is "Fast Road" (only the drum beat at the beginning of the song is a blast!).Anyway the sound is characteristically Led Zepellin's influenced as we know specially coz Mr Russell's way of singing...as a fan myself and being objective this is one of their best effort so far or at least is one of their albums that you can listen as many times as u want without getting bored!.90/100

I dunno, man, was listening to this one again today, and as time passes, it's just hard to get really excited about this band. There's nothing at all wrong with Great White, and this is of course one of their best and most popular releases, but I've always been somewhat lukewarm on teh band as a whole. "Lady Red Light," "All Over Now" and "Mistreater" are all good, and "On The Edge" is underrated as well, and of course, "Rock Me" is a total top-down, driving-at-night classic. But the rest of the tracks are pretty unspectacular, and I've never liked "Save Your Love" that much.

Huge fan of this band ever since this cd came out(love Jacks voice). I like ever one of their cds, not disappointed with any of them! To me this is their most hard rocking cd, after this one they are a little more hard rock/blues rather than straight hard rock. Lady Red Light is one of my favorites from the band, and then there are the classic Rock Me, the awesome soulful ballad Save Our Love, great rockers like, All Over Now, Never Change Heart, & Gonna Getcha. I recommend.

This is my favourite G White album, the first 4 songs are excellent, one of the best 80´s bands, Lady Red Light, Rock Me and All Over Now shows Jack Russell and Mark Kendall at their peak.

I noticed the other day that I have owned this album for years, but for some reason never upgraded from cassette to CD, and I have no idea why. Finally rectified that and the CD arrived today. The reason its so puzzling is that I forgot just how good this album is. I mean, I can understand why I never rushed to rebuy Psycho city, as it never excited me, but this album is nearly as good as my all time fave, Hooked. So many great songs, and only cost a couple of quid to replace ... what more can you want?

Great White cds need remaster treatment, all of them are great, the first period is awesome!, This is their best for me!

Listening to the European vinyl version of this now, with a totally different running and song order, but it still sounds so fresh and inspired. Took a long while to like this band, but this is a great starter!

This is Great White's best IMO. Lady Red Light is fantastic. Rock Me doesn't outstay its welcome even though it's over 7 mins long. Save Your Love is one of the best soulful ballads of the genre. Unfortunately Great White albums are getting hard to find, but this one and the follow up are worth the time to track down on cd. Rated A+

I bought this one on CD maybe around 2007? I never owned it back in the day but was familiar with about half the songs. Part of the reason I bought it was that I found it for under $6 on CD Universe, which was where I used to buy a lot of music at that time. I guess that's changed? I felt I got my money's worth, although I stand by my comments from 2010.
