Great White has released their 2nd album "Full Circle" the follow up to 2012's "Elation" with Terry Illous on vocals. All in all, it a really good album. I know a lot people say GW isn't GW without Jack Russell, I get it, and the argument has been beaten to death and is arbitrary at this point. What makes this album solid and great, is that this is a Great White sounding album, and Terry Illous has earned his marks in the band with this album and the band has redeemed themselves after the disappointing "Elation" album back in 2012. This album really brings back the essence of who and what Great White are as a rock band, there are so many classic moments on here that hark back to '84-86. There are two tracks on here that might throw listeners off."Moonshine" (psychedelic-rock flavor days of the late '60's and '70's) & "Cry of A Nation" (blues and R&B like, reminds me of "Ball Of Confusion" from the Temptations '70's, but a slower version). HIGHLIGHTS: All except #5. MY RATING: 88/100. |

Surely Terry is a great singer and the band has kept the same music direction through the years but this release is as far as i can see and being objective quite without a spark at all,not bad but neither good, simple stuff typical of the act.Tracks 1,3,4(nice),8 & 9 are decent cuts but nothing out of the extraordinaire.80/100 |

Bad ... just, how do i put this ... well, BAD. My objectivity has been stretched thinner than Oprah's spanx ... i just can't take this disc seriously. There is no swagger or "umph" that Great White showed in the past. |
