A mix of 80's driven AOR and melodic keyboard driven hard rock. "Into The Night" and "Around" are complete with big choruses and hooks aplenty. "Just One More Time" is a very touching ballad. "Come In From The Rain" and "Tell Me Why" are very easy going and accessible. All in all, an excellent AOR/melodic keyboard friendly CD.

Love the harmonies in "Come In From The Rain". "Around" is just a tad bit "poppy" for my taste, but it's a good song none the less. For me the big *sighhhh* song on this is "Just One More Time" *sniff* Nice production throughout.....I really enjoy this album.

Weeell, Isn't that special! LOL

Hush!!!!

Actually, that's in the Deep Purple section.

The band has a definite future within the scene if they can afford to dedicate time to their craft. This debut album is one, that along with Outland, represents the old-school of AOR trying to make a go of things in a modern world. This is a really pleasant and easy going record with plenty of great harmonies and catchy songs.

I didn't care for this album. The vocals are weak. I did like the music on alot of the songs. They would be better off to dump the lead singer. Find someone with a good set of pipes. I think this band has potential.

Heard these guys have a bit of Danger Danger sound to them. Is that true, or is someone just misinformed? If they're at all like D2, I'm there.

From: Chad Date: July 2, 2004 at 0:43
Hey Melodicboy- Don't waste your time. If you want Danger Danger check out Jesse Strange. Get that album if you can find it.

Secret Smile has a new CD coming out in beginning 2005 produced by Arc Angel's Jeff Cannata and rumor has it Ted Poley of Danger-Danger fame may appear on the CD doing some background vocals...looking forward to it!

From: Chad Date: July 13, 2004 at 17:42
They should get Poley to do the lead vocals and dump T.J. Again, the music is very good but the vocals are weak.

From: MelodicBoy Date: July 15, 2004 at 0:47
I believe Jeff Cannata produced the very D2-esque Attraction album, GET UP N SHAKE. With him at the controls and Ted doing backing vocals, we may be on to something.

From: Tony Date: July 15, 2004 at 10:13
I don't think getting Poley to do lead vocals would happen, having him on backgrounds will help! I actually think the vocals are OK within the tracks. We will see what the new CD brings vocally. I noticed that Secret Smile was on tour with Dokken and LA Guns. Has anyone seen them live? PS: Attraction album is very cool and Cannata engineered it, i don't know about producing it!

I heard a lot of people say this was good. To match that I had to stand in a room with a lot of mirrors and mention that this CD is really not that good at all. It's decent, and a winner for fans of Norway, I suspect... so if you like the more keyboard luvvy duvvy lyrics sort of AOR, this is a good one for you. I, however, was left far from impressed. There was one song I liked, but can't recall it now. Okay AOR.

Any word on the new album???

From: Chris Date: March 3, 2005 at 10:11
I was on their web site and it said the album is due to be released in April. Can't wait! Also, they have been playing with Scandal, White Lion, Enuff z nuff, Dokken, LA Guns, Bret Michaels, Ted Poley etc...some of the big boys! Website also says Poley from D2 was in studio doing some tracks!!! very cool
