Having heard the media release of this, I can tell you that this is a FANTASTIC new HOL release! I know a lot of people were trying to split hairs on World Upside Down that they shouldn't have used the HOL name. I disagree vehemently. Good music is good music whether they were named House of Lords or Orangatan Butt Sniffers. Now, that said, I do believe that CTMK has a LOT more "familiar" sounds to it that WUD and that is a GREAT thing. James has taken the very painstaking steps to ensure pure h

..harmonic bliss in every element. Kuddos to all the musicians and producers! Thank you for not sacrificing any significant part because it costs more or is more difficult. It is absolutely noticed.

Yes, sir! These are songs that certainly have HOL’s trademark, meaning huge choruses, soaring melodies, hard rock blending with AOR throughout the entire album. I wasn’t ever a huge fan of “World Upside Down” for the reason that they sounded too raw for my liking, leaving behind their powerful melodic side not to mention keyboards. However, here they are rocking big time on “Come To My Kingdom” (hot stuff), “In A Perfect World”, “One Foot In The Dark” and “In The Light”, as on the other hand the

they display their AOR determination on songs like “I Need To Fly” (a future classic), “I Don’t Wanna Wait All Night”, “The Dream” (simply gorgeous), “Your Every Move” (Frontiers sound), “Even Love Can’t Save Us” and “One Touch” (fantastic). Finally, the mid-tempo ballads we know and love, such as “I Believe” (a great acoustic led ballad) and “Another Day From Heaven”

so far, this and the new whitesnake, are the best of 2008. i know it's still early in the year, but will be tough to beat if you ask me.

I Just Got This CD Today, And I Was Blown Away On How Good It Is. Every Track Is So Enjoyable To Listen To. My Fav, The Ballad, "I Believe" Is The Best Song I Heard This Year So Far. James Christian Is One The Best Singers Around. Get This CD Soon, You Won't Be Disappointed.

This one no.2 for year 2008 for now. no.1 is new album "Brother Firetribe - Heart Full Of Fire" best album for year 2008 like a first album for year 2006.

From: Axe-Machine Date: April 4, 2008 at 14:53
I was blown away by "World Upside Down", and while this album doesn't have quite the same wow-factor, it is nevertheless a really good album. 'Come to My Kingdom', 'I Dont Wanna Wait All Night' and 'One Touch' are all top songs, but my personal favourite is 'I Believe', which is one of my fave songs of the year so far. That song is to this album what 'Million Miles' was to WUD - the cherry on top of the cake. Great album if not quite as good as the last one. 81%.

Pure excellence is what is on offer here. I like every song on this one, but some of my faves are 'I Don't Wanna Wait All Night', 'One foot in the dark', 'Your every move' and 'One touch'. MHR greatness. It's hard to say if this is better than 'World upside down' because it is very much of the same quality. I think both albums are excellent and both sit high in the HOL discography. Great to see these guys going so strong. Highly recommended.

Excelent!!! I can´t believe what wonderful is this album! The melodies are brilliant! All songs are enjoyable. 10/10.

From: z4roxx Date: November 26, 2008 at 12:12
Simply wonderful, ten times better than the previous who was also awesome. But I consider this album as the third James Christian solo cd,we can talk about an HOL release without G.Giuffria or some member of the old'90's HOL.One of the best aor cds'in the history I suppose.

From: cooldude Date: December 3, 2008 at 11:18
Are you guys kidding me. I am a huge HOL/James Christian Fan, so i pains me to say this. THIS RECORD SUCKS!!!! The songs are just typical junk. No hooks!!! Nothing even close to a hit on this one. Just like Power/Myth.

My first taste of HOL in August of 2008. Wow! A great cd that has sparked my interest. Today I got a copy of Demons Down and I plan to get the first two albums as soon as I find them but this is melodic rock for the new millennium. This cd for me totally rocks. BTW I have the Japanese import with the bonus track "It Might Have Been Madness" which totally rocks.

From: joe123 Date: April 20, 2009 at 3:48
Boring. Only vocals, vocals and more vocals. This is no more HoL but the James Christian Band. Songwriting is modest. I don't understand all this positive posting. This albun sucks.

House of Lords have always been a melodic rock band, but this CD is almost saccharine in its sweetness, threatening to burst into melodic overload, a case of too much of a good thing. But they stop just shy of excess and deliver a good, solid album full of lush production, catchy AOR hooks, soaring choruses, and heaps of harmonies. Not perfect enough to have been created by the Good Lord Himself, but certainly too good to deserve a place in the bowels of perdition. Expecting another CD as superb as "Demons Down" is about as futile as a pretty boy going to prison and expecting his anal virginity to stay intact, but even "subpar" (and I use that term loosely) House of Lords is better than the best many melodic rock bands bring to the table. This actually ranks as my 4th favorite HOL album, after "Demons Down," "Cartesian Dreams," and "World Upside Down"; yeah, I'm one of those rare guys that doesn't care for the fat-with-filler "Sahara" CD...call me a blasphemer if you wish.

Another fine leading to a magnificent HOL album!!!...what an essence my Holy Lord!!!..."Come To My Kingdom","I Need To Fly","In A Perfect World"(rocks!),"The Dream"(solid mid tempo),"One Foot In The Dark"(rocks in a catchy way),"Your Every Move","I Believe"(excellent solid mid tempo),"One Touch" & "Even Love Can't Save Us" are trully masterpieces of the genre...James Christian is an incredible vocalist(the only one from the original line-up)and the rest of the "new guys" doing also a marvellous job...recommended...92/100

excellent release by HOUSE OF LORDS that could be better if there were a few better choruses!the musicianship, the production ,the sound are excellent and the songs really remarkable but i could nt find a song that can stand the test of time!overall this is highly recommended !
