Rainbow's try at a come back. It fell short with Doogie at the vocals. I have this but don't listen to it much. A 6 out of 10.

From: Kabubala Date: January 2, 2002 at 18:23
This is the best Rainbow album since DOWN TO EARTH! Doogie White sounds like a cross between Dio and Turner, and that mixed style allowed him to sound suited to whatever Blackmore threw at him. This is also a very dark album at times, and very reminiscent of '75-'78 Rainbow. Blackmore should have kept this project going instead of this pseudo-Renaissance mumbo jumbo he's pushing at the moment.

This may not be the best album, but Hall of The Mountain King is an awesome song. It sounds like Rainbow of old.

no esta nada mal este album , ni tampoco ese buen cantante, pero tiene discos mejores. es q son muy grandes los rainbow!!

From: Date: March 18, 2003 at 19:00
i think this album is the most complete of all the previous ones.it has great songs,a great new singer (matching dio and turner!),great ideas, great feeling...it connects the past and the present of rainbow and it revealed what blackmore was up to do..(blackmore's night)

From: Emilio Date: April 4, 2003 at 5:03
Infortunately the last good album of Mr. Blackmore. When he left to Mrs. Candice Night influence? Please, can somebody presents to Doro Pesch or Tarja of Nightwish? No se si me expresé bien en inglés, pero quiero decir que ojalá alguien le presente una rockera al Sr. Blackmore (para mi el mejor guitarrista de la historia) y deje a la petarda de Candice, que nos lo está arruinando.

From: RR-Finland Date: August 28, 2003 at 11:06
After hearing Wolf To The Moon from the radio, I bought this album right away. Good comeback with style. Blackmore´s Night should end and Ritchie back where he belongs, in the Rainbow(or Deep Purple).

From: fabio Date: December 19, 2003 at 8:12
Blackmore's rock blues swan song before leaving everything with his blonde wife for all acoustic trip...good tracks but his guitar is far away from "Made in Japan" spirit. Anyway he's still able to do a good job on his compositions, in particular "The hall of the mountain king" is a typical Rainbow song. It's difficult to play hard when one is about 50 years old...Blackmore is now much enjoyable on his acoustic side and the fans still going crazy for his musicianship (one of the greatest).

From: Big Papa K Date: June 28, 2004 at 16:19
A new Rainbow album could not possibly work. If you had heard the last few Deep Purple albums, you would come to realize that Blackmore has trouble coming up with decent tunes nowadays. While there is nothing too bad on this album, I really can't remember anything about it that would make me want to listen to it again. 5/10

From: RAtt72 Date: September 4, 2004 at 20:44
the singer sucks!!!he's a tony martins copy, even worse!!!Blackmore is a genius, but he deserved a better band to play with

From: AOR freaky Date: September 5, 2004 at 8:02
Hmm . . ., don't think Dougie sucks ! This is a good, solid Rainbow album ! A lot better than the stuff Richie offers us these days !

From: Propane Date: November 30, 2004 at 22:50
This one is about a day late. Blackmore must have been trying for a comeback. Although anything's better than that 'Blackmore's night' crap. It seems like Ritchie is one of those guys who forgot who got him rich... THE FANS...

From: andrew Date: December 11, 2004 at 14:00
Don't be so rude with this album....It's a quite good one, Doogie it's definitvely the mixture of Ronnie james and Joe Lynn, but his problem is that he doedn't reach the range of Dio neither the feelling of Turnes, but he is not a bad singer. And the sonbgs are pretty good, Ariel it's increible.

From: MadMax Date: January 8, 2007 at 19:59
Simply best Rainbow CD! And one of the best hard rock albums ever!

From: darobinson Date: May 6, 2007 at 9:35
This album is killer. Doogie White is an amazing singer. If there are any Doogie fans out there who do not have the Cornerstone CD's they are a must have. Excellent melodic metal just like this Rainbow release.

From: ROBERT Date: November 24, 2007 at 11:06

From: underworld king Date: January 31, 2009 at 9:53
I really enjoy this cd. I had the chance to see this band live back in 95 0r 96 but didn't go. What a shame as it looks like I will never see Rainbow live. It would have been interesting if JLT would have sung on this album though.

From: Animal! Date: January 21, 2011 at 1:23
Song for song this is my favorite album, Too bad its probably the last. Say what you will about Blackmore's Night, He rocks on some tracks. Look them up and give them a listen.
